Haggis_trap I did the exact same thing last week and drew exactly the same conclusion as yourself.
Great minds and all that .
A definite hold for me.
Incidentally the new head of investor relations used to work for Genel Energy. Not the kind of appointment a company going down the tubes would make.
Well : there seems to be lots of new faces at HUR from board level down. I am assuming that is a company taking longer term future view (rather than going bust as recent share price suggests!). There seems to be lots of uncertainty but the best long suffering PIs can do is sit tight and wait for news. Still seems be a binary bet here based on reservoir performance. However it seems more likely HUR shares are worth 30p+ longer term than 0p. Therefore I remain invested.
haggis_trap - What do you think of the comment made by Adonis123 at 1714 hrs ?
haggis_trap - Thanks for that.
It's the most comforting HUR news I could expect to read.
Much appreciated.
No bother. FWIW I called the company last week to speak with new head of investor relations.
Expressed my concerns about recent share prices slump and departure of Dr T.
He was happy to give me the time and day and comment.
Message was very much that the company has experienced head winds.
However team is working hard to resolve them. Didn't feel like he was hiding anything.
Top priority is being in position to repay the bonds by increasing production (and minimising costs).
So : Now I guess we all need to wait and see.....
Haggis-Trap - Sorry, but don't think there is way. I don't use a mobile 'phone, and am not on social media. Not being spooky.
@adoubleuk. How about I send a carrier pigeon with message?
haggis_trap,
"daltry / adoubleuk : what is the easiest way to PM / email you ?"
LSE does not permit people posting their personal email addresses. However if you look in the French phone book you'll find my landline number. Leave a message and I'll get back to you. Mention of the town where I live will be found in some of my posting history, and as you'll have guessed, my surname is the eleventh letter of the alphabet.
Change is usually a good thing IMO, particularly when Something/Person(s) have not been working or delivering well then a change is necessary otherwise the "Constant" situation will continue; I also believe that the CEO change here was not only necessary but a must if things (including the ongoing share price slides which no longer made any fundamental sense) were to significantly improve going forward.
Correct : HUR have new head of investor relations.
Has been in job for 2-3 weeks (obviously appointed by the new board).
daltry / adoubleuk : what is the easiest way to PM / email you ?
What I find most interesting on this thread is that it would appear that Ben, the guy in charge of IR for all the time I've known the company, has obviously been 'changed out' for someone new.
For myself, no matter what a company's assets might be, it *is* its people, particularly at Board and management level. With Hurricane, there have been a lot of changes lately in that respect.
Could IR not answer that?
I just wanted to know who were HUR's market makers. I was told by an old city guy to contact the HUR Company Secretary for such information.
Surely just ask the head of investor relations to forward your questions on to them?
Try any company, exact same response.
I emailed HUR, and asked for the email contact of the Co Sec as I have a question or two. The "Head of Investor Relations", a Phil Corbett, replied, saying they don't give out contact details of Hurricane Staff. Can you beggar believe it?
