Urrrghhh.... " The naysayers who said FB 'won't work'ALREADY been proved comprehensively wrong" So WW fb, WD fb were a success......LincolnCrystalTips fb..maybe, the oil is still in the ground. Lets not forget, x1 production fb well and not 2... shall be generous and say that was a marginal success, maybe.. Egging and pudding spring to mind... Why do you think the sp dropped on the results of: WW....WD....LC (the joker) and x1 prod well being turned off... It really is, that easy, the markets decide... not the tabby cat that wanders into my garden....
I tend to think success would be; WW, WD + LC ....planned to produce oil... and an eps with x2 producing well, perhaps I'm being too ambitious. Lets hope the one trick pony doesn't fail in any way.... would FB then be a resounding success, then ? Looks to me they are hanging on....right now, with no real plan...
Fractured divisions, of thoughts and opinions ....
Yes indeed, Haggis, and two years ago the share price was 47p - not 7p!
^ re : share price. Imagine 2 years ago someone told you EPS had produced at 12k bopd for 12 months. Would you believe share price would be at historic lows?
Genghis,
"More technical ppl than me can confirm, but as I understand it, it means that the nergy imparteds by the pump to raise the oil to the vessel, means less energy from the reservoir pressure is expended in doing so. So the drop in pressure for any given flowrates is lessened.
Hope I've got that right!"
Pretty much so, in general. Going into detail would take too long.
I must say, I feela bit spooked. This was a topic of conversation here, recently, and I feel as though Hammam have been reading my mind ! But still, it' s gratifying to see something which was pure technical conjecture on my part back then being confirmed (or at least echoed) by a 'reputable' source.
Hammam also mention the possibility of re-entering 7z, a subject which was brought up at the CMD and maybe over-estimated. I still remain convinced that such a drastic action will not take place in the near future, and most probably not before a further 'well 8' has been drilled. Getting the ESP's into the equation comes first, giving the company more to 'play around with' .
It mustn't be forgotten that Hurricane is the first to have deliberately target Fractured Basement on the UKCS. The naysayers who said FB 'won't work' have ALREADY been proved comprehensively wrong. But these things take time. But now is the time for fine-tuning the beast, so that every shot hits the 'sweet spot'.
To say that the fall in the SP is alarming would be the understatement of the year, given the results so far. But it lends credence to the (admittedly conspiracy-theorist-sounding) possibility that there are parties out there who deliberately want to trash the company, because it represents a thorn in their collective sides.

Hannam report mentions that the ESPs will 'reduce the drawdown required to achieve stable producing rates'......what is meant by this?
