Correction: 'not .58.'
Funnily enough, I was thinking about the warrants fiasco last night - I think I referred to it a few weeks ago as a bond fiasco, because at the time I couldn't remember it.
I never did quite understand what it was about, but remember that posters were annoyed with AS because they believed it led to the then share price rout.
The market reaction so far is muted, and the price is down .09, not .058 as shown.
WIthout any of us knowing the nitty-gritty of the AS tunure clsure, I for one am pleased to see him gone. The warrants thing (wot, a cashflow hash-up - really??!) and a cfo with less skin in the company than most PI's on this bb, is not a person i've happily trusted with my money.
Also agree that i'd like to see the hurricomms dept availed of a similar shake-up.
Nice to see the recent offload, i imagine the AM must've had it's legs crossed. A comms release regarding the size would be expedient - even if it isn't co'y standard policy.

>> I don't think the likes of RB ever forgave him for the way he raised capital
Well it did cost us shareholders.
You would think that they have a big hitting name then already in place for the CMD
Agree AS resignation has been forced by RB and others, IMO.
RT and AS have been together for a long time, it would have taken quite a bit of pressure for him to release AS.
However the fact that it is of immediate effect smacks of blood on the floor. Could be RB says AS goes or I pull my investment/support!?
wellwell....over a year ago I chose to ignore whisper from outside the company that AS was going as slowly as he could with preparations for a Main board listing as he was opposed to it. That could be another one of several "nails in his coffin".
I don't think the likes of RB ever forgave him for the way he raised capital
In my opinion Stobie is out due to the share price performance which is not in reality all his fault of course.
The CMD offers an opportunity for a realistic expectation of a positive underscoring of the company commercially and a subsequent increase in the market cap/sp accordingly as investors are encouraged by what they see and hear.
In previous CMD’s Stobie has been found wanting and instead of a rise we’ve witnessed a steady decline in the share price against a backdrop of operational success. Now this isn’t all Stobies fault given the macro environment/spirit/operational performance question marks over water etc but a good CFO should be able to provide a bookend to the CEO’s ‘spin’. In my opinion the board has no confidence in Stobies ability to do that and were left with no option but to oust him pre CMD.
