Going back to the original point - the DST flowed oil and is still still ongoing this morning. LC was tested for a few days, flowing on both natural flow an using the ESP. The Lancaster DST was planned for 15 days in total - twice flowed on ESP, four separate flow tests on natural flow. They can take as long as they like on this DST, before they officially release the news, it flows, it is flowing, that's all I need to know at the minute
I can pick a nit with the best of 'em.
Forget Driver7 he's a day trader busy trying not to get burnt by "future" investments in company's such as Glencore who have had to suspend Cobalt mining (used in batteries) because of plummeting prices
johnpwh,
Crikey, and I thought it was I who was supposed to be this BB's resident nit-picker! OK, have it your own way, I'll demur. Medium-term it is. :-)
For once I disagree with ADUK
' Oil is the present, and also the near-term future'
I would argue (depending on how you define it) oil is the medium term future. Cant see much alternative to shipping and air travel in the short term
Driver,
"Oil is the past."
That's nonsense. Oil is the present, and also the near-term future while viable alternatives are being developed.
Oil is the past ?? The energy transition is that far advanced they are still building coal fired powered stations................
Assuming as most believe we have another producer then it’s a fair assumption sp will continue to build & bounce on rns confirmation. Cmd in Jan with hopefully connectivity announcement will be the game changer. As always patience required.
Yes, MH - I tend agree and on the basis that I do not want to miss the re-rate I will not be selling having been in since 2017. This share is ridiculously undervalued....hence my frustration.
Mover: If, as you say, you think the SP will only go sideways following a successful drill then clearly you should follow your instincts and sell. Why would you take a risk on any negative impact? FWIW I think that a positive result here WILL have a very positive effect on the SP. Simply because these positives will all add up and prove the theory regarding our FB. And sooner or later, I think sooner, there will be a rerate. Atb Rich
Yes - you are right thanks for correcting me Bdog. The question I come back to is where does the SP go after that, if it confirms a successful drill. I can't help but feel we go sideways again until the CMD in Jan...
Mover123,
That is the incorrect.
Flaring at LC was on Saturday/Sunday and an RNS was released on the Thursday to confirm oil type, flow rates etc and ultimately the success of LC.
There was an RNS on The Monday but that was just to let the market know that HCs had been encountered (flaring) and DST had begun.
On that basis, Monday would appear to be favourite for an RNS with the WW drill results.
GLA.
no RNS as yet - whats the consensus on when we might get something? Lincoln saw us getting an RNS about 36 hours after the flare so are they still interpreting data?
