a number exceeding your IQ then Driver : Filtered.
Precisely.
Immature - “having or showing an emotional or intellectual development appropriate to someone younger.”
Tut tut ....I'm 51
Thank you for your reply Casapinos. Good to know. He certainly has committed a substantial sum there. Cheers
Driver reminds me of a poster called Slipperyoil. He used to post on iii. He too was an immature troll.

HI DR BB Holding equity (ie shares ) is the highest risk method of investing because they rank lowest in the hierarchy when it comes to repayment, any other form of investment in a company ie secured loans , unsecured loans loans, convertible bonds...etc all rank above shares when it comes to divvying up monies left after a failure. Therefore an indirect holding ,of eg convertible bonds is a(slightly) lower risk way of investing . As the investment by Alken will be a fairly substantial bet , depending on which of their funds it is in , they have taken a brave, but not foolhardy step.
From looking at their website i would guess that they have bought for the GLOBAL CONVERTIBLE fund which does what it says on the tin.
Could be a good week now the sp appears to have settled and the profit takers/ 'weekend head scratchers' are gone. Some of these funds probably are related, in the offshore world all sorts goes on. Still, it gets our name out there I guess.
Not as frustrating as some we could name!
??
The investment "may" be an indirect investment in the stock, VIA, CB's.
Basically, in order to reduce the interest cost of the bond the company can also issue a stock option, which the lender can exercise to buy the stock at a cheape price in the future. Or, constantly hedge, as is often the case. Thus holding a perennial short stock position.

CA ...Woodford problems?
too keen
Be interesting to see Crystal Amber's latest holding. They don't seem to keen to publish their monthly net asset value which is now a week late compared to previous months published figures
Hopefully the news that they have bought such a large holding will have a positive effect on the share price.I did a dummy trade with Halifax for 100k and got quoted 51.75,Klepto.
Unlike most AIM posters, Alken are obviously not complaining about HUR's share price.
After all, they are on the lookout for undervalued shares.
Question for Casapinos here re Alkin.....
What would be the reason/advantage for investing indirectly in CB's over and above the shares directly themselves? There must be something but I am just curious to know.
Capasinos _ Excellent research ! You are the sort we need on this BB. For ill informed ignorant blind punters like me!
Thank you !
Is this total number not very close to the total shares CA were left with?
So they have built up a stake of about £50m! That's confidence for you! Atb Rich
This is a big bet for a relatively small "boutique fund "run by a guy called Nicolas Walewski (ex ENA -the posh french school which ALL major french politicians go to) . His fund Alken is UK based but Luxembourg registered .The holding is "indirect" so probably CB's? I will research more later today if I have time.
Exactly - on both counts. They knew better “before” we knew (strange that isn’t it!?), but it’s good to have them on board. If they did buy as low as the low 40’s, then let’s hope they stick around for greater returns; now that we have slipped back to just under 51p. . . I have to say, that this is a mega frustrating share!
They must have been buying in low 40's when PIs were waiting for the CMD. to cross 106m+ on 11th July, they must have know better before then!
Anyhow its reassuring and positive to have more institutional investors.
So was it dropped to fill their ‘buy’ order? Doesn’t make any sense the share price movement over the las two days. Not to me anyway! ATB
