Well done for reminding us about directors duties under the Companies Act - our former board may have to work hard to show they were living up to their duties under:
S172 - Duty to promote the success of the company
S173 - Duty to exercise independent judgment
S174 - Duty to exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence
S175 - Duty to avoid conflicts of interest

Apachewind - Fat chance of a NDA being broken.
"manic"? the guy started the company so I guess you are right he is the cause of most things .... I would like to hear his view on things - if we could get any non-disclosure stuff removed from him and while we are at it Stobie as well - that's assuming they would not mind sharing -
whatever the rights and wrongs, a shame politics and egos will undoubtedly stop the 2 new oiler NEDs sitting across a desk with him and getting his view on current data. i would want to do that
"I wonder if writing to Dr T may be a useful approach. "
he's the guy who caused this whole mess with his manic insistence that he was right and the dubious financing model who used
The appointment of NED Philip Wolfe is a major boost for HUR. Just need to oust Maris & Chaffe, by whatever means, asap. Must admit - thought the sp would jump more than it has, given the half year results & NED update of 14/10.
What we continue to see from Maris is negative messaging inserted into what should essentially be a positive news story. Given what we already know, I no longer trust him to act in the best interests of HUR and see his continued presence as counterproductive
I wonder if writing to Dr T may be a useful approach. He still appears to be a big shareholder. Perhaps Bernie could forward something on to him if we were to write to him Bernie - or do we know Dr T's forwarding address ?

This appears to possibly be a much better approach at this point in time for PI's to forward a campaign of wanting justice for our money being wasted by Directors "OF LET US NOT FORGET" is our company, and therefore our money that's been wasted!
Perhaps we need a concensus of opinion from BB members in this regard before starting the suggest campaign.
(from small acorns large oak trees grow)
Having formally requested NEDs investigate, and having had it confirmed that they will do so, I do not believe that CA will let the matter rest until and unless something which can be trusted is issued by the NEDs
And as a reminder; the Companies Act 2006 specifies the general duties owed by a director of a company to the company.
S171 - Duty to act within powers
S172 - Duty to promote the success of the company
S173 - Duty to exercise independent judgment
S174 - Duty to exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence
S175 - Duty to avoid conflicts of interest
S176 - Duty not to accept benefits from third parties
S177 - Duty to declare interest in proposed transaction or arrangement
I don’t know if this is a relevant channel to travel in bringing the previous non-executive directors to account!
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/reporting-misconduct-by-companies-directors-and-bankrupts-to-the-insolvency-service/reporting-misconduct-by-companies-directors-and-bankrupts-to-the-insolvency-service
Particularly the following extracts.
The Insolvency Service has powers given to it by law to consider complaints about:
• live companies where we’ve received reports of serious corporate abuse such as significant misconduct, fraud, scams or sharp practice in the way the company operates
Anybody can report misconduct relating to the above to us.
We will assess any information reported to us and consider whether to carry out further investigations.
We may take further action against the bankrupt, director or company if we find things that concern us during our investigations.
We can only investigate complaints that we have the legal powers to deal with and may suggest you contact another public body or pass your concerns on ourselves if this is appropriate. Please make it clear in your complaint if you don’t want us to do this.
If our enquiries show that a criminal offence may have been committed, we may send a report to the appropriate prosecuting authority (eg the police or our Criminal Investigations Team). That authority will then decide whether to carry out a criminal investigation, and criminal proceedings may begin. You may be asked to give a formal statement before proceedings start.
If you wish to make an anonymous complaint, we may still be able to submit the matter to the relevant investigating authority. However, please note that they may only be able to take further action if they have suitable evidence or an appropriate witness, or both.

sorry, have spilt blood twice already, couple of months at scam time, and 2-3 weeks recent. know peeps appreciated, but few comprehend the time and emotional energy cost. did it twice cos absolute necessity and knew likely no one else would or could do as effective
time for someone else to step up
FSA IMO will do zilch whilst HUR NEDs investigate. If NEDs find something, then FSA may step in.
so emails to FSA (just copy email to HUR to FSA - no need reinvent the wheel) will help so that FSA already primed to step in if NEDs find something.
all is needed is a well titled post which includes the FSA email address. peeps will do the rest
Several well recommend posts all alluding to corruption, within the BoD's
Remember it's our money that's been wasted!
So it's time we follow up on senseman's resent fantastically successful campaign!
I've got no gold stars, to hand out so come on senseman time to get the ball rolling with the FSA.
