DYOR
Can't make Clarence pre meeting. But if want speak by phone before you set off this morning, or to arrange meet outside meeting place before meeting, message my backup email and i will email my phone peter02555@yahoo.co.uk
there are 2 specifics i don't expect to be dealt with in presentation which i think crucial to both confidence & SP - one in 10 question list, one isn't. namely
1. alignment with SHs/skin in game (in list). - either CEO & CFO buy shares, or BoD with CA agreement agree reasonable performance related option package - so that chief execs have skin in game to influence positive decision making and industry sees this.
2. set aside BoD outdated RNS's position well 6 end of commercial life Dec 23 (not in list). cited and relied upon by all industry writers. state good till end 24 or even end 25 as per ca calcs. what company is going to buy HUR if well 6 economic production will end in 18 months time?
These 2 questions MUST be asked from floor if not addressed. All attendees please lock into brain cell and back up those who ask these questions.
DYOR2 - will try do likewise 10 or 10.15 ish. but don't shoot me if i no show - depends how late will close down work tonight
I will pop in the Clarence prior to the meeting
Probably wants everyone to get s*itfaced before they arrive
Anyway, many thanks sensey you have done a great job for us all.
Hopefully tomorrow we will get some clarity on what the future holds
Good luck to all of us and heaven knows we need it
FYI
the friendly events lady at tomorrows location says nearest tubes are green park and piccadilly, approx 5 mins walk
she also says the usual meeting places are 2 pubs approx 3 mins walk away
the clarence 4 dover st W1S 4LB
chequers tavern duke street SW1Y 6DB
she says clarence usually preferred though takes no responsibility for info
Can I ask that someone posts a brief overview of the AGM and answers to the questions. (on assumption they are addressed). Unfortunately I can't make the AGM as I have to take a family member to hospital.
Even possibly updates (if you are allowed or is appropriate) whilst in the AGM as not sure I can go too long without not knowing what is going on.
I have a time date stamped message from HL stating my current HUR holding, so that should suffice.
It may surprise but I am by nature an exceptionally reticent limelight avoider until absolute needs must.
Tomorrow's priority is to give clear message on a few main issues. Not to have proverbial punch up. Hard but true.
Being pragmatic I am not adverse to a meeting up but how do these things occur? Were past AGM's held at same as tomorrow's & was there acknowledged meeting place? And was it before or after? 11 am start would seem to preclude before. Also, if one speaks at an AGM is normal protocol to state one's name before speaking?
Me too
Sense
I am attending the AGM, I received a Letter of Representation from Interactive Investor a few days ago. It’s states my share holding and is signed by II.
If you fancy meeting nearby let me know.
I trust that you will identify yourself to others at the meeting as "senseman" and lead in co-ordinating the effort in holding the BoD to account. I am sure that many attending the AGM will be contributors to the various bulletin boards. Good luck to their efforts.
advice received via private message from advfn member. no need peeps respond on here & clutter up forum. thanks
I wish to attend tomorrow but broker HL advised yesterday I was out of time for them to put me, as per normal requirement, on 'shareholder guest list ' and receive via Crest system the usual OK enabled them to message me an 'e-ticket' for entrance to AGM. Having not attended live AGM before, it is my error. Though a clear flaw is brokers being unable to automatically issue 'e-tickets' for AGMs when they know one is a SH. Why do they need the company's permission?
HL also advised I would likely be turned away, even if I showed proof of HUR shareholding, voting instructions etc etc printed from HL account, + matching ID.
Pragmatic question - does anyone with practical experience know how strictly entrance to HUR AGM is policed? And is proof of HUR shareholding etc etc + ID usually accepted to allow entry if one lacks the magic 'e-ticket' issued by broker? Or not?
Specifics in answers would help. Thanks
