Wellwell
Indeed - such absolutism from the one who.FPSO solution was/is akin to flat earth theory compared to the big bold fixed platforms of his youth!
HUR will need to.look at a multi FPSO strategy which I have suggested for 3 yrs I think now.
Their problem I guess will be funding the works but some will be harsh weather equipped and.others likely to need less work than the AM. Indeed, subsea can I am sure be designed to fit if the right vessel was available.
I'd hoped they'd have.ordered some LLI last year but alas not.
FID is guided in the presentations.
At some point or another re WW, LC, and future Warwick drills and their possible outcome and maybe even brought forward GLA drills in 2020 ? a decision for another FPSO will be required to be made, will it not?
The question in my mind is when will that decision be made in order to monetize the potential revenues asap given that one cannot simply hire a FPSO off the shelf or can we?
Well we can strike that off then.
Iamluvingit,
"This is a 50,000 bbls a day FPSO coming available at the end of the year, not sure if suitable for WOS."
Totally unsuitable for WoS.
Compare / contrast with the AM, where quite a lot of the Dubai work consisted in beefing-up the already-existent weather protection. That boat has none worth speaking of.
That chat here has come around to a future FPSO for GWA makes me chuckle a bit. Sure, an FPSO for GWA seems (according to published literature) the 'programmed' route, but the liklihood of Spirit / Hurricane going window-shopping for suitable boats right now strikes me as remote.
two of these would do nicely, thanks........

Off-the-cuff, i'd hazard a guess that funding this at 3.57% (Libor + 1.5%) should be within the realms of the possible: now to do some sums.........
