Hello WW... got it, I think I know the colour, super duper....
....all a million miles from Camp Chicory & Coffee ....ewe and yerk....
It’s a tortoise shell brown metallic finish. Worn away in the catch tray area but pretty decent condition overall.
That's great... I'm pleased you've been able to date it, an early one too, lovely, more of the period and time. They're pretty much bomb proof, over time, only the seals in the group head will need replacing, it's a bit of faff, more though a question of patience. What colour is the base... ?
Bartlebobton it turns out the Pavoni is actually from 1976 and my parents bought it in Rome. My shady memory not as clear as my mums it seems.
That's a sweet memory WW.... from time gone by.
Your welcome.
And thanks for the link.
No scale issues in Aberdeen! I did a bit of research actually to try and more accurately date it. Seems it may be pre-1982.
And yes, the hissing is very reassuring and brings me straight back in my mind to my parents kitchen when I was younger and that’s just priceless.
Hello WW.... they're amazing machines... I find it strangely reassuring hearing one hissing away in the background. If you ever have a question about your parents machine, this guy in Italy, is really knowledgeable and helpful.

(descale regularly ! )
I have one of these too Bartlebobton. Bought by my parents in Rimini in the 80's costing £50 back then.
It still gets regular use and aside from some wear and tear on the base, the body is like new.
I do pressure testing every morning with my La Pavoni europiccola, to froth the milk for a double macchiato... all common sense and very pretentious....
This last phrase is however presented as a statement of fact. As to exactly HOW the company has reached such a conclusion, I wouldn't personally like to comment, because I don't have such knowledge. Maybe SonoftheBull would like to expand on this, but I doubt somehow that he will.

Shutting the wells in and opening them up again will tell them the build pressures relating to drawing on only a small section of the reservoirs.....
It's all common sense !
cat5,
"Is that to say that the gauges are set along the length of the drill hole?"
This is highly unlikely. The horizontal sections are 'barefoot' and not lined nor cased. Leaving gauges along such open hole which could transmit data individually (how?) isn't any bit of technology I know of.
Though I don't know everything, and could be wrong about that, though suspect I'm not.
I've preferred to keep away from this discussion about 'how the company knows', but I do suggest it's worth looking very closely again at the 12 December RNS and its wording.
" Data gathered thus far indicates immediate and strong pressure communication between the wells, suggesting that together they act as a single well."
Note word 'suggests'. Not engraved in stone nor expressed as fact.
" Furthermore, the Company believes that only approximately 50-60 metres of each 1 kilometre wellbore is contributing to production."
Note the word 'believes', in much the same way.
" Both wells are currently drawing on only a small section of the reservoir."

Hurr know exactly what is happening in the oil well pay zones
Sonofthebull,
Are these pressure gauges or flowmeters?
If pressure gauges, then the ones further along will be steady I guess and the early one(s) show a reduction due to drawdown/flow......is that correct?
The Electric Submersible Pumps are still switched off......
Wells flowing themselves.
Is that to say that the gauges are set along the length of the drill hole?
How does Hur know that most/all production is from the early part of the horizontal in each well?
_______________
Down hole gauges tells Hur this !
How do we know it is the first part of the horizontal?
Sounds as though we could o with a bit of fracking going on down there... only joking :)
