Wellwell,
Do tell what?
Do tell...
cat5,
"I thought the forward plan (if things work out right) was to move AM over to GWA with a bigger FPSO on GLA?"
No.
That is a pure fantasy-dream issuing from people on this BB and others, who generally have no idea what such a thing would entail. It's an absurd idea. For 'n' technical reasons I simply won't enter into detail about here.
The only thing the company has given hints of forward-planning about is a further FPSO over GWA, and that makes sense. Possibly a bit larger than the Aoka Mizu, who knows? But moving the AM to GWA is just a non-starter.
Moving it in six years time may be on the cards, but that's a different ballgame altogether. And by then, it may not be a question of moving it to GWA, but instead somewhere further up the Ridge.
extrader,
"FPSO's - esp harsh conditions purposed - aren't usually 'off the shelf' items..."
10-4. Plus the AM had considerable topsides weather-protection added in Dubai to prepare her for WoS.
It's true that possibly this was based on lessons learned on during her previous career for Nexon N.Sea, after which she had to be towed to Poland, unable to make it under her own steam.
Plus also it mustn't be forgotten that the Glen Lyon wasn't always over Scheihallion. Se went there in great pomp, but not until after almost two years' shutdown of the field, because the weather had broken BP's previous FPSO.
£4.01 ???
No!! 400p. Anymore bds?
350p is 'more than 300p per share.'
No!! 350p!
If they were successful, they would be buying us cheaply.
I think someone will counter-bid more than 300p per share.
Have you been playing with that DeLorean again Emptyvessel?
FPSO's - esp harsh conditions purposed - aren't usually 'off the shelf' items...
I fully understand that Hurricane will be keeping an eye on the FPSO market and talking to FPSO owners, but I cannot see any scenario which realistically results on Hurricane having another FPSO producing on the GLA or the GWA before early 2023. They need to drill more wells on both areas before any FEED and FID can happen. I think we will see both fields being drilled next year and both FIDs taking place early 2021.
AM is 'paid for' and could move to GWA leaving a space for a 'new' FPSO for GLA.
I thought the forward plan (if things work out right) was to move AM over to GWA with a bigger FPSO on GLA?
That's how I read it anyway
Genghis15
No this was a second FPSO for Lancaster not GWA
NcB
RE Redoctober and a second FPSO, Shouldn't be a surprise, the forward guidance section of the CMD shows a second FPSO on GWA for 2022. Just forward planning, getting contracts in place. Be interesting to see if new build, or more likely imho, another lease/refurb.

He's just miffed that he lost the sweepstake to me. Plus a hundred other things he cannot get over.

Agreed. Takes one to know one.
Driver, i think SIPP has got you to a T. You've been rumbled my son. :)
Surprised no one mentioned Mr Stobie's scenario of an additional FPSO on Lancaster or was this in another thread I missed

Driver7. Or should I say, Mr Allan, this is for you:
You pedantic, pontificating, pretentious b4st4rd, belligerent old fart, a worthless piece of stinking cow dung. Figuratively speaking.

Thanks, SIPP.
'Hurricane is also mulling a number of funding structures, including “those that do not result in a reduction in licence equity”.
The company also provided an update on the Whirlwind discovery, saying it was not a suitable candidate to be tied back to Aoka Mizu.
Subsurface and development teams are working on the best appraisal option for Whirlwind.
And Hurricane will relinquish the Strathmore asset, which, unlike the firm’s other reservoirs, is sandstone, not fractured.'
I can get back in the freezer now and dream.
