Uusing hard earned funds to put at risk when you could borrow for very very cheap and use cash to explore yan to add value its a simple toss up for me.
Cash spent on Yan typically yields returns in LOM and ore grade improvements that then go on to de-risk and reduce AISC. Which typically reduces investor concerns and improves sentiment (= SP increases)... keep the investment plan and cash piling up for freedom of potential other things that may present themselves......
Kar should be as near as damn it 100% debt for me..... And gaining access to it should be a doddle for many reasons.

I think it will be a combination of debt and cash, it makes little sense to raise funds at such a low share price. The company has a long way to go but it is certainly shaping up in the mid term for something that could do very good things. Experience has taught me that potential and outcome are not always the same thing, what I think will happen is this will stay low and then either the market will wake up or the gold narrative will change, if we have a combination of both the LTHs will do very well.
I feared a placing(especially at this SP).. because it might have been an 'easier' route to get K going. But given what it seems has been said on and off the record, I think chances are very low now. (but of course are pretty much never zero)
@Dusty.
I like this board because it tends to debate driven rather ****ging matches which can infect other share boards. there is nothing wrong with jumping in and out of shares. Personally Im stake building. I have an average of 32p at about 60k shares. I want to build this position up to 200k max but it depends on my circumstances over the next year or so. But if I built a stake and I felt the company was taking the wrong course, Id sell in a heartbeat regardless of profit or loss. Healthy debate is good, ****ging matches are just poor form.
In terms of a placing, Ive seen it so many times, I dont personally think it will happen here due to the sheer amount of money they are making. But if you load a pack of cards with a joker, its unrealistic you will pull it, but its not to say it wont happen.
It really doesn’t matter, let’s get back to debate rather than arguments. Tones post this AM was a welcome one for me at least. I’ve been in and out of this share several times over recent years, came back in when the dust settled earlier this year. Perspectives change.. and whatever anyone says on a forum, people make their own judgements. More shareholders are always welcome in my book.
And yes(agree shaun), regardless of what anyone says, placing can happen even if it's explicitly said they won't be happening the day before.
Im not sure I agree really.
If you have taken then time to truly research the companies you hold shares in you don't listen to 'Steve' on xyz trading board, you would have a comprehensive understanding of what you own and work out the individual risks based on your portfolio and standing in life. The fact is they could issue shares that is not off the table its just a small probability of it happening, but equally people should go into these investments with their eyes open to all possibilities.
**So we are perfectly clear, I dont personally believe there will be a placing but it could happen...
When bogus scare stories about potential placings are mooted, with the intent of scaring other investors to sell their shares; it does matter.
To be fair, does it even matter if someone sells and then buys back in? I doubt anyone on this board is big enough to move the market on this share. You either believe the market is heading down and take appropriate action or you believe it is going up and take appropriate action.
Remember guys this is a board for everyone, why lower yourselves and argue over something that is quite petty. At the end of the day whether you are long or short you pay your money and take your chances...
