Wonder whether DB was waiting for the Bunker Hill cap raise to be successful, and the nod that the loan will be repaid shortly, so that he can include the repayment of the cash in this RNS and stick two fingers up at the doubters.......?
Banks will try to keep it below the psychological $2000.
I’ll go for Q2 RNS first although $1998 is getting close.
Looking lik 2k before the RNS.
Funny how he's absent when gold and HUM are on the rise. Probably pop up soon with something about the RNS delay because of some rollocks in there.
BunkerHill is trading up 30% on back of upsized capital raise for C$15m. Helpful as it should mean they can repay the loan HUM made of c.$2m that was due back now. Might be good for cashflow (unless we have subscribed for the shares...), perhaps to be covered in the forthcoming announcement.
Bet shandy needs a spare change of pants, he’s short gold :-s
Google also tells me we are 41p!
$1993 and silver up 4% to new highs
Gold $1992 are we seeing $2000 today
?
Gold futures at $1994 and climbing.
People get twitchy when results are due, the SNG board were all going bonkers and calling for results even though the CEO had already told us it would be July as the sp dipped they slowly but surely pi fell away and guess what july came and we went up 500% in a day and held.
Same here results are due, they are coming, no need to get twitchy.
We will shoot (not sng shoot but shoot none the less) and hold very soon, exactly when I have no idea but it's soon enough for me
A tiger woods story gb was telling. I just think we are getting to the point that we would like an rns and better pr which really shouldn’t be that hard. I generally don’t think they are that bad with either but then my expectations are pretty low with all share in my pf
i think we all agree DB has built a mine on time and on budget and hopefully the next also. Whats with the tiger reference?
Seems to me people are getting very confused with roles within an organization.
When you have people responsible for PR, that is their role not the CEO. Yes Dan maybe the face at times, but he could take a back seat and hand it off, and concentrate on his role. We are lacking this in HUM and suffering for it. When everyone would like more information/news, than you have to say that something ain't right. If it is one or two, that's life. Just my two cents.
Horses for courses, probably Tiger would not be good at building a goldmine.
I am happy to talk about factual information whenever it is available.
I just believe the guy has done a good job.
As long as DB delivers I can take a bit of arrogance. If he doesn't he can expect a hostile response from shareholders. Hopefully he will deliver!
If you are trying to compare one of the greatest sportsmen to walk this planet with an AIM CEO I think that is a huge stretch. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and I am not sure Dan is on the right side.
Song lyrics and anecdotes, a good day on the message board for all!!
I expected Q2 results before now but I also get that the company (its a relatively small team) are running a mine, going into rainy season, buying and planning a new mine, arranging a JV / earn-in on their second largest asset, running a drilling programme and all during COVID-19. I’m prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, though I still feel they could have got a shorter update out in July.
As regards Bert , top guy.
Cora has also had a tough time on AIMs, they regularly put out super drill results, the market has been slow to respond. Seems to be picking up lately.
Have you heard the one about Tiger Woods playing in a major.
Walking to first tee a lady wishes him good luck, followed by a man also wishing him well.
He snubbed both in silence. The lady was his mum and the man was a multi million dollar sponsor.
The guy went on to win because he was focused.
Dan is Dan, maybe he could pay more attention to PR but would he be as effective. I don’t know.
What I have seen is somebody who has taken the company through some pretty bad situations.
We are where we are because of a good team, I think there is a good chance that we will all profit.
Looking forwards to Q2,Q3,& Q4.
From DB's dealings/responses to shareholders (either by email, phone or at board meetings) it seems that he does not think the shareholder is that important. I understand at times you need to be single minded but the last few years have been tough for LTH's and I think Dan has not cared how it looks to others.
Bert Munro was good at replying to shareholders but he has now moved on to CORA. DB could and should do better.
I did in fact email the PR company a few months ago to see if they would engage about HUM's PR policy, bit of a big ask I know, unsurprisingly they never responded!! Sums up the HUM policy I suppose.
Let’s hope not ;-)
LEts hope it's not Mumford & Sons instead.
"But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really ****ed it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?"
