Ok that’s brilliant, are you still accumulating shares at this level?
Who knows Redcrayon
In the meantime US Inflation figures have come in better than expected and UK should follow suit with a fall tomorrow also courtesy of the Energy cap and a few other wins. Perfect storm brewing.
Should put paid to Interest rate rises for a while and the next direction might be downwards ultimately.
lets people keep more of their dollar / disposable income for spending in the shops over Black Fridat and the Festive season.
On solid ground - when will the news drop?
Just look at that volume. All sneaking out from behind their positions and going long.
A good omen nevertheless for when the deal sealed news drops
Shorts trapped at 24p will probably do everything they can to get the share price back under 25p so they can cover. It’s important that retail investors keep buying and holding to keep pressure on the short sellers until they are FORCED TO COVER!
Onsolidgroud - would announcing a dividend force shorts to cover? Trigger a short squeeze?
A wall of blue still coming through :)
Probably both today. Volumes up a significantly and large trades like this are being squeezed through without seemingly affecting the share price. Just shows what's been going on here. Shouldn't see some RNS's appearing shortly. That or the confirmation of the story Sky News broke.

Rc,
Rita Rose Gagne the CEO has a very good track record in sealing deals so sit back and chill.
We might even see ourselves presented with the news of a nice special dividend.
Who knows.
If the company has no debt and the NAV is £4 billion if someone was going to buy the company what share price would they pay?
I think FOMO will kick in after 30p then we shoot up to 40p
I agree but GME investors said the same at $40 before it ran to $300 :)
Triple digit might be pushing it Redcrayon, but the 45p mentioned yesterday might not be too unreasonable a price target and given we have been there in the not too distant past.
Time to sit back and let it unfold.
"detailed discussions" is what they state. and virtually all deals previously @HMSO that have made the press have sealed quite quickly thereafter.
Cheap as chips for what would be a transformative deal for HMSO.
Shouldn't be remotely red so I'll look to pick up and add.
Not selling below triple digit share price! Buying more today as an early Christmas present.
Well if the monies can clear the debt here then there should be a lot of position closing to come. Quite a few use financial instruments to bat both ways and there will be others lurking. Sky article seemed to think at an advanced point and the company all but confirmed the talks.
Expected a little red dot but unperturbed by the lack of...
LTE may be another attractive entry point / they own 22% of HMSO.
GameStop styled short squeeze to 100p
All those massive trades timed after market close (after 16:30) counting for today's sp or for tomorrow's?

Corrected*
I stand correct - 31/12/22 it was at 52.05p
I'll go with you 53.7p for the current date :D
I think net asset value is 53.7p
I would say this would bounce about 80% to match the NVP whicb sits at around 45p right?
