Woogie - I am sure that by the time DM gave that 12th July interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8m7W8qwnhQ that the drilling had at least reached that original bottom. DM says a bit after 3 mins into that interview that after the successful sidetrack, drilling down was under way. What I am not sure about is that by 12th July the drilling had gone "numerous metres" past 481 metres.
Oh dear, Metis. Do you really think DM would make such a statement, without actually achieving a successful side track drill. Thus, meaning going past original bottom. I'm happy, if they're taking extra care and drilling slower so not breaking of any more bits. But if they do, I'll be ready with my milwaukee SDS drill. Albeit I've only got a 24mm bit! Haha
Don't need to convince you because I don't care if you believe me or not. It is just my opinion, just like lots of other have opinions about how far is drilled per day or what the SP will be on a certain day. I don't see you questioning the 30m/day number so seems weird you question that particular part?
In my world, to say you have successfully done something means you have sufficient evidence that what you have done has worked. To say you have done something successfully when you haven't drilled 1 metre past where you have inserted a wedge would be clearly wrong - again in my opinion. I didn't say how many metres past 481 but to me a successful sidetrack would have meant that they would have had to drill sufficiently far past 481 metres that a new track/hole has been developed that is separate to the original hole and they know it will pass the broken drill. Again, just an opinion based on common sense.
Convince me that anything I have said is so wrong that you need to question it ;)
12:38 SpeculativePunt " but they must have gone numerous metres past 481 metres at time of interview in order for DM to state it has been successful" Convince me that the above is not just mere speculation!
According to slide 15 of the investor presentation the first target is in the 700-850m zone (depending on where the drill was positioned). Given DM said in the last interview (11 days ago) that the side track had been successful, we know the side track started at 481 ish metres but they must have gone numerous metres past 481 metres at time of interview in order for DM to state it has been successful, then with the conservative estimate of 30m/day they would have hit that zone c.4 days ago. Given some contingency time for any casing, and testing then should be no surprise that we have not had any news (and we know DM loves a Monday RNS).
So agree with Rum, in that RNS should be imminent about what they have found in that pay zone. Hopefully they have done a wireline so they can confirm a discovery, rather than just another gas show
Seahawk. You posted that you intended to sell on a public space. The general opinion is once you post that publicly then it's in the public sphere. If you post that on a forum, there is a little word 'reply' under your 'intention to sell'. You can Google that word and think about what all that means. A grown up might add why they changed their mind, I don't think there is right and wrong in that.
You can twist and turn and make stuff up all you want. The end of the day your 'expressed concern' was saying Minchin had said he would update you, and you thought it wrong he hadn't. You said there was total silence. You posted what you were going to do with your shares.
We obviously have different interpretations of what those things mean. So let's not go tit for tat.
Noob I have already explained my concerns and if you cannot understand them that your problem not mine. Where did I say people piled on me, I didn’t, I was saying it to Shagged and people were all over him yesterday. I get it you cannot even contemplate hearing views different to your own. As too what I do with my own shares thats none of your business at all and you have no idea if I am out, fully in or somewhere in between.
My understanding was that they had recommenced drilling prior to the Friday. And we have no idea as to drilling speed..30mpd is a possibility, but not necessarily a probability. Personally, I think they've just hit their first target, as of Thursday or Friday, or will this weekend. With an RNS mon-wed, with Thurs the dark horse. Although I'm happy to wait till whenever
Am I correct in thinking they restarted drilling from last Friday roughly (assuming sidetrack casing had set?) If so and at 30m per day then aren't we somewhere around 720m ish? And isn't the first target at 900m? Or have I got that wrong, because I don't think they even have anything to report yet and even if they have reached sufficient depth, only just... please correct me if necessary there are plenty more knowledgeable on here
As for seahawk. Mate stop being a big baby. You said you were selling if there was o news and seems you haven't. Then said there is a' total silence' claim certain communication agreements were made that are not being met And you were called out for it.
You had the choice, argue your case, as posters were polite to you. And now it's a pile on
Do you want me to get you a rusk and say well done?
