To me, the reaction of DM was that if it is 2.2% with an uncalibrated instrument at 70m then the they have just hit the jackpot. Obviously going to be a huge buzz now until that RNS
Exciting times - and hopefully making up for all the rubbish I have in my portfolio
DM can't join the party if he is in the UK
Probably completed the wire-line testing of the lower lake bed target....
DM probably wants to be there for the test and see the results first hand - and to get a read of how rich he's going to be.
There are supposed to be 2 mass spectrometers on site, aren't there? Hopefully we'll be able to get some kind of corroboration about the potential grade as well as seeing if this can be deemed a discovery.
got a feeling the 2.2% was a bit of a surprise to DM....
My take is that this is a very positive sign. Listening the the Zak interview the 2.2% ‘is very significant’ statement is immense- if commercially viable can be at 0.3%…. We can start to produce from the mud washes :-)))) I think DM is confident of something big and he’d rather be there, on site rather than see/hear via a live feed- and who can blame him. We are quite new to this ‘game’ but already we can see the difference in CEOs and tbf DM might be short for diamond …… if Carlsberg made CEO’s ….cheers and Enjoy the ride folks !!! SkyBlue Jonesy
What's interesting is that it got tweeted. Let's face it our dear CEO is not Elon Musk; no-one's going to publicise his flight to Tanzania. So you have to ask what's the motivation behind the tweet ?
Yes, the trip MAY be because they've encountered problems. But that, to me, would be something you'd brush under the carpet until you know whether the solution requires an RNS.
Circumstantial it may be, but this evidence suggests there's a reason for the trip to Tanzania and a reason to tweet about it.
Love it poodle!
This adds a whole new meaning to squeaky bum time…..
In terms of bad news my concern has always been the collapse of the upper part of the well due to the poor composition of the fluvial-deltaic sands. However, we know that they have cemented and cured down to 55m. With the drill pace ramping up they must have as much as possible eliminated that risk.
There may still be issues further down hole but these really aren’t the details that a geo can fix. That would be done by Mitchell’s. If they had to abandon the well it would be pretty clear cut and word like that gets out from the tightest ship and shows itself in the SP.
What we can glean from the tweet that it’s to support ‘ongoing operations’, ongoing isn’t potential abandonment. It’s more likely data interpretation.
If I have to guess my money is it’s on further Helium shows downhole. They may have had the Chromatograph calibrated and are able to get a quantitative result that the CEO can release to market. DM may want to check it himself rather than rely on the remote laptop as the concentrations are high showing a reservoir full to spill!
Now we can but hope but as this is the first well of its kind you’d want to check any substantial results before publication especially if they are off the scale! RNS and a nice vid from site soon and our 5p in a day SP rise. Well that’s my rose tinted guess!
Very exciting!
Usual caveats,

In Africa they love a ceremony to celebrate success. Makes sense they would want the boss there if anything significant was to be announced?
Of course, he has to be there should we hit the motherload. Who is the best person to take the pictures with the Government officials when the media flock in? This is transformational for Tanzania as it will bring much needed revenue and place the country as the biggest Helium resource ever found.
He's getting the live feed of the readings and if the needle goes off the chart as we drill down, sure he got to be there!!
Either way it’s good pr snd gets people taking which helps to boost the sp.
More companies should update its investors like Helium do. I do understand things are happening thick and fast but even if a company gave a monthly update it would help keep sp up in companies that have large lead up times and keeps us investors excited and mostly informed
No sure why HE1 would publish DM is going to the drill site unless he expects something big. After all this is a CEO that tries to watch every single penny that is spent on the project.
well, I feel if we are to get very good news either late this week or next, then the SP should start to catch up with our very astute reading if the runes pretty quickly. I have sold some of my angle stock to take advantage of all this analysis (just before I posted) and got in at 21.69p. the slight uptick since then could obviously be coincidental with the tenor of these posts but it should be clearer, maybe, by the end of the day?
this is a HUGE moment for HELIUM ONE. It is very fitting that the CEO go to site to be part of this massive event for the organisation. The traps are identified, the helium is leaking up to the surface around the edges because the traps are FULL OF HELIUM this is my interpretation from what I read.
I also wouldn't expect any RNS this week regarding further helium shows as DM will be travelling now. I would expect Monday morning we may get some news as we will be 2 weeks into the drill program therefore we should be nearly 50% way through drilling the 1,200m and as such, the crucial 400m mark must be crossed.
GLA all, very excited now......
"Following the identification of subsurface #helium, our #HE1 CEO David Minchin is on route to #Tanzania to support the ongoing drilling operation"
is the tweet, which (to me) suggests this not a scheduled visit. Be surprised if bad news; why a tweet if it was? Think the latest Hannam appraisal is the key.
At least he should get some rest. Looks like he needs it.
It depends on whether this was scheduled or not.
If it wasn't (and it reads to me as though it wasn't) which suggest its either very good or very bad news.
Given what we have had reported thus far it looks like it will be very good news. (I can't see why, if it was bad news he would endure a such a long journey away from the office to make a disappointing announcement form the site, what point would that make or serve? ( plus he then has another arduous journey back.)
However form a PR po, being there at the site delivering good news would be much more impactful for the company.
Normally I rely on the SP to tell me what's going on as my analysis is not reliable and the SP has not moved. So 3 possibilities:
Either A, I'm wrong (high probability), B, the market has not realised and we are putting 2+2 together quicker then them, (possible I suppose but unlikely), or C , confirmation of the greatest Helium find ever is already built into the SP at 20.5p (which does not seem likely)
C's is out so A or B,? I'm going for A, because although 'm often wrong, I'm not always and this time I might be right!
Hmm, this could be interesting. Surely it's a sign of something happening?
Is it just me or did anyone else assume DM was already there for the start of drilling? Lol, most important company making operation going on and not already there keeping an eye on things.
Better late than never :-)
He does remind me of an ex premier manager with the mask on.
The updated broker report is using very conservative figures.
Looking very good to me.
As he said he gets a live feed of what is going on.
Probably timed it to be there when the so called motherload is encountered.
Just out of interest lowest mc for current ftse constituents is £4.8 billion.
So about £7 a share needed.
About £1 a share would only be mid cap.
Would need £4 plus to be in ftse.
Not even sure if that would be enough
Make it a tenner.
