roly12 ref 12.02 post I do not think that you made the wrong investment decision as the fundamentals of the company and it's prospects remain the same. What has possibly changed is the perception among some investors of the competence and integrity of the management. I note we did not have an RNS this morning clarifying the issue all we got was a statement issued from the H&W yesterday. This meant that few people were likely to have seen it than saw the RNS.
Trying to catch up here as was offline since Friday, there seems to be an issue with the RNS 8th November which HARL stated that they have a framework agreement in place with the RNLI for the , haul out, repairs, maintenance etc..... for the RNLI'S FLEET of lifeboats, at the time I was dubious of this RNS as I stated here and Stokey replied to my point, has something occurred that puts that RNS in doubt ? Roly.
And sure enough, Mr Teflon has explained it all, by tweet no less, and we can all carry on as if nothing untoward has ever happened. Bit like an appolgy for an incorrect main headline stuck in the wanted adds a few days later. It'll be interesting to see if this is also followed by a similar RNS in the morning.
And, regardless of the outcry of foulplay and the oh so obvious explanation, it does not matter about investor sentiment, It never does. Because if they lose a few disgruntled punters, ah well, there will always be plenty more for the next bit of fluff. It had the desired effect of being splashed around the media before the placing. And that's it. I'm sure they must have some sort of contract lawyer on the team that creates the RNS's. Because, having re-read the RNS multiple times it's obviously more cleverly crafted than just written.
TBH, H9, I personally wouldn't pass up the op to average down if the occasion should arise. The market won't care if anyone is taking the moral high ground. It will just carry on, churning away. And all that matters, regardless of valuations, company profit against turnover or the ebitdooda are just two figures. The one you bought at, or your average, and the one you decide to sell out at. Everything else is just froth. And time watching the froth.
Even at a lowly 1.5 on your scale investor confidence will now be low. I planned to top up this week to average out my high 20's purchases, however, in light of the weekends disclosure I won't be adding now. I stupidly purchased more in last weeks placing, never expecting to be making a loss on those. Investor confidence will be shot now hopefully the share price does not hit an all-time low this week. It's going to be a very long uphill battle to get to last weeks high of 29p again.
I thought so BP lol all i can say is when you have all the money you can ever wish for you will see a differnt picture. I hasten to add i see a differnt picture without all the money in the world lol i just have a different perspective
My point of the post was to say to folk (and not wanting to sound patronizing) is to have an open mind with their thoughts, and be aware of what category you think some posters might fall into, and the potential reasons behind their postings.
I personally like to see as many posts as possible to help me make my own mind up. No matter what one of these groupings i think someone might fall in to, i never ever block anyone. I never will either. That doesn't mean i agree with some people, but i still want to hear them.
My thoughts are that ' ALL VIEWS MATTER ' ! ! (said in my Citizen Smith voice. PTTP ! !
TTNY i hope you do not mind me reposting this it seems quite apt yet again Some of us posters here are :- - Very knowledgeable and intelligent individuals. - Some of us are total numb-nuts not knowing our arrse from our elbow. - Some of us only have a few hundred pounds of shares. - One of us is maybe a TR1 and several others ex TR1's (but still with very substantial holdings). - Some folk here are blatant rampers, others de-rampers. - There are some very interesting posters here, some of them posting often, some less often. - Some of us are duller than dishwasher. - There are those of us that are so predictable with comments, and also with the timing of those comments. - Some of us here are maybe H & W staff of various positions. - There are peoples here with agendas (positive and negative ones). - Some folk posting have history with BOD's (again, both positive and negative). - There are some people posting who maybe have direct contact with the top table of the company. - There are also some who feel they themselves should be at the top table of the company, as they know best. - Could there be some that need to get rid of their shares for their own sanity (and maybe the sanity of others). - Could there be peeps thinking i need more shares at these levels and decide to top up.
The RNS is a lie. The deleted tweet was a lie. Both referred explicitly to the RNLI "fleet", which is far from the truth.
This tweet is an attempt to diffuse the bomb that is likely to go off tomorrow morning, without telling more lies.
JW seemed to get a pass from most following the Triumph debacle, which confirmed him to be either a liar or an incompetent (or both); dragging the venerable RNLI into his web of lies will not so easily be forgiven.
