Improving by £200m courtesy of hmrc . 30p on sp today I hope.
Gambling shares tend to do well in recessionary times and in poor areas. Nobody gets that t this and the others were oversold. Lots to choose from 888, wmh, this one and bet at home. I was married to a casino gm for over 20 years. Something going on at rank too.
And mr man with 10 posts where is your source for this odd assertion
Over £4 milli0on of shares bought today. Bit more than a popular vote. Hard headed business people
SP movement is purely popular vote, these guys are running out of cash.
Oh dear Bob, GVC flying again today.
A similar prophecy to your post on GLEN late last night 'USA futures now gone red, I think that will damp the ftse tomorrow'
I'm not sure that they're tea leaves you're using to see into the future but you're supposed to read 'em not be smoking 'em!
However you read this rns , looking at numbers it is massive profit warning . Profit falling , cash disappearing , massive debt , market disfunctional.
Follow the m a r k e t . I looked at rns which mentioned increased share in Italy. Could not see more. Don't underestimate these people.
However you interpret the rns , looking at numbers it is massive profit warning . The reaction of share price perplexes me .
You nailed that prediction.
Have written before about how I sold my GVC holding, but still interested in buying back in at some stage. I just don't think we're over the worse of coronavirus yet and I think the lockdown and suspension of sporting events could continue a lot longer. I think GVC (and others such as William Hill and Flutter) are still trading pretty optimistically. It seems positive that GVC are adopting measures to reduce the impact of Covid-19. Nevertheless, in some territories it appears they're ready to throw the franchise operations to the lions, i.e. Italy and Belgium are mentioned in the RNS. "They're costs aren't ours, not our problem". Well, it will be if those franchises disappear never to return. And what about the much anticipated global recession after the pandemic has finally passed. How do the betting firms fare during downturns? No mention of the US market in the RNS either, even though that had been one of our great hopes.
S - good idea :-)
@Moljen, I should probably drink at least one cup of tea before reading RNSs...and commenting on BBs.
When is drop to £3
Think B&S need to learn to read before commenting, 2 for future reference to file away in the irrelevant drawer
Bobhope - Currently 515 up c. 9% - which open were you referring to?
Could I please buy all your shares at £ 3 - assuming you have any that is ?
Read it properly, EBITDA is reduced by £50M per month and cash is £15M per month and are assessing whether they can get that down to zero
It was hardly complicated to read it and get the facts correct.
Conserving cash.... Still burning through it at £50 million per month. Ouch!
It's about usa .
Isn't there a more soundly based and listed UK gaming company to play this home internet gambling theme?
Looking purely at their 2018/19 financial accounts. The debt vs available Cash is not healthy, £2105M Vs 260M.
If you look at theirs current assets vs Current liabilities there a healthy 7:1 ratio. However the non current liabilities vs non current assets is the opposite. If those liabilities mature early 2021 they would be in big trouble and would need to service the debt from somewhere.
All said and done if their gaming business can pick up and Covid19 blows over they can ride out the storm. Sustained longterm issues, this organisation based on 18/19 accounts has significant debt vs available cash, that debt has to be serviced.
Gaming firms enjoying surge in demand as workers make the most of more time at home. ctrl
Echoing what I posted. Shares strong today
Apparently there is to be a virtual national next Saturday complete with betting, televised too. Our boys wont stop work. The paddy power merger proceeding too. Noone m entioned stake building at wmh big bucks are made on recovery not when business is booming. M ad g used to be good at that
GVC on my watchlist too but it's too early for me . I am not sure abt WMH it's a massive gamble so that one I leave it for the gamblers :)
gl
For me this is a huge buy. So is William Hill. They will weather this storm and when the shops open and the sport resumes ..... back to normal.
