Good news; could add a significant amount to the bottom line.
ftse.. why does fundementals here show 5.9 yield.
if u bought at 12 are u calculating 3.6% on 12 ? its now 15 so if u sold thats the ££ u get to put into say vod 10pc. If merger comes off mA even get cap gain. (That said no way id add vod now... or glaxo !) Things are going to happen very fast now with new ai, will these beasts keep up.
Most likely, given peers' performance today:
GSK plc -3.87%
Novartis AG -1.57%
AstraZeneca PLC -3.66%
Sanofi SA -2.03%
Roche Holding AG -2.57%
Novo Nordisk A/S -3.76%
Ucb SA -3.05%
I assume the 3% drop is thanks to Brussels...

Done :-)
I want to believe this too but having been a long term holder it always seems the promise of "jam tomorrow" with GSK and for whatever reason it doesn't come to pass that it realises it's true potential.
That said, I am a LT holder and have a weighted average <£12 so with a 3.6%+ yield I am not unhappy at the moment.
Thank you, I meant growing.
Did some google and found they do state it will be progressive, between 40-60% of profit.
...the number and quality of potential new drugs marching through the Drug Authorities worldwide at present, these have to remain a much maligned quality co due for a serious rerating. Definitely staying in my p/f.
Here are the dividend numbers -

Define “progressive”!?
Apologies if this has been covered already but what is their policy, is it progressive etc?
Cannot blame them really for playing a long-term game in effort to combat a 'cheap' bid from over the 'Pond'. Just a shame it had to happen after I had vought more GSK! pronically, perhaps, if Bellus' new drug is as effective as GSK think - and you dan be sure they have done homework aplenty - yjen in due course that may well make them even more attractive for a takeout but not yet.
I think they are paying cash so the value of Gsk will remain the same, assuming this company is worth the price.
Glaxo buying a US company today for $2billion. This is the best defensive policy against being bought itself.
Totally agree, clearly undervalued now it’s a little smaller I think it’s a sitting duck. Sooner or later the yanks will take advantage.
I think the problem we still have is the Zantac litigation. My view is that once this begins to get resolved then we should move forward. Like yourself i believe this is an excellent hold with two possible blockbusters on the way together with hopefully a favourable resolution with Zantac.
on the UK market. Today's RNS actually saw it FALL. One day it will get its due, probably taken out by a large foreign outfit.
In the meantime I am content to hold.
Bit of blue welcome , big buys again at bsfa . ticking up some more here .
Fidelity says not in profit overall, but just below breakeven.
With proceeds of sale of Haleon. Pundits are giving Haleon the cold shoulder but think GSK is now cheap. Calendar says they are near to release date for quarterly figures so there's some sense to it, Also it seems to show that my holding has moved from a loss to a profit by this purchase ( although that might change tomorrow - Fidelity platform!)
Maybe an out of court settlement is about to be reached on Zantac
I would love to know why there has been a big move upwards in recent days.....it had been languishing for a long time?
Unsure of reason for move up .Good to see whichever reason .Also money moving into bsfa with 4 MORE pieces of news due. B welcome more blue at gsk .
I sold 3000 yesterday at £14.53 and they were grabbed. I thought that I was doing well until I saw the jump this morning. I wonder is it finally starting to move or is there some news about? I still hold another 3000 showing a decent profit. Might hang in there with this lot just to see what happens...
Blue day .
Virtually everything in my p/f is miserable because the market in general is on its knees. Time to take up knitting, or trainspotting or ANTHING but watching these!!!
