Not sour grapes at all. Just stating the obvious. JLP have clearly moved on from the whole failed Kabwe zinc tailings deal, and they have repurposed the Sable refinery to produce only copper.
And with that, GLR have no customer for the willemite at Star Zinc and Ka****u. It's not an easy mineral to process, and I believe there isn't any alternative refinery within reasonable range. It's a dead deal.
As for the Nomad, well, this is AIM. And, in truth, there's no clear cut reason why GLR would need to RNS this. Nothing, as such, has happened.
As for Tom Winnifrith, why does he keep tipping Colin Bird companies recently? It's enough to make you wonder...
Best to.remember that JLP is a company at a far later state of development than GLR. In a JV that is worth £30M to the Market cap of JLP, that represents only a 25% (ish) increase in SP, whereas a similar increase in the Market Cap. Of GLR would result in a multi-bag in the SP and a lot of very happy PIs...
Basically the gearing ratio is much higher for GLR, so will produce far better returns in the event of a success scenario.
Time will tell...
Thought it was called the Sable ZINC Kabwe Refinery !!!!
If the “whole business has gone sour” nomad would have forced an RNS, and as MM says, CB said complete opposite four weeks ago. The beauty of GLR is that project diversity offers a safety net. If Star Zinc has gone pear shaped, that’s a real shame, but current market cap doesn’t even reflect KCB potential, let alone the other projects.
A tigger by his wail - LOL . Methinks someone has missed the boat both here and at Jubilee. Sour grapes, or what?!
Hi Caterham!
My take on it is that Star Zinc and Kashi'tu are failed projects. That's why Colin Bird has gone haring off at a tangent into Botswana.
If you look at JLP, they have now loaded up the Sable refinery with copper projects, and they have no capacity left for a zinc circuit - the completion date of which they keep pushing back towards never. My guess is that something has gone horribly wrong with the Kabwe tailings deal, and that the whole business has gone sour. And with that failure goes GLR's Star Zinc project.
If Colin can go from soil sampling to drilling, in an astonishing couple of couples, then me and my 7.5mln shares will be super delighted to be proven wrong! That really would be setting industry leading project pace. Colin - please can we have same pace at Star Zinc. Thanks in advance.
Minor.
If, as it suggests, CB reads bulletin boards, hopefully he gets the message to sell our rare earths and gets a move on with the star zinc licence and offtake agreement with his own other company, Jubilee.
This is an excellent listen, with Birdie super enthused about our KCB prospects.

Note also that Birdie directly references our conversations here (Hi Colin!!) at 03:24 'I see on the bulletins boards that there are some thoughts on soil sampling' which goes back to last week and comments from Caterham7 about the time to get results.
Basically Birdie goes on to say how coal sample readings are near instantaneous using XRS hand held devices. Very quick. 'I'm hoping to be drilling in a couple of months', concludes Birdie.
Works for me.
Yes, i may listen to that TW one again.Always pick up on bits you didn't catch before and helps keep the faith
Well done Phoenix, hopefully a game changer for many of us. I have had my share of AIM dogs, but have stuck with one or two and this one I got into about 18 months ago now and have a fairly good holding. Mostly in sipp/isa

CB :-
"THE SKY'S THE LIMIT. THIS IS A WORLD CLASS SITUATION. IT (THE COMPANY'S MARKET CAP) IS NOT GOING TO BE STUCK AROUND £7MILLION"
Now's the time to get in IMHO - before the opportunity is lost at this ridiculously low price.
CB "I see IMMENSE value in the company from here".
Here being share price of 1p
So he sold a company for north of £250M that didn't have as much as GLR have. Simple calc £250M /£7M current = 35p
I will have some of that please
