I still think a deal with ILH is the most likely outcome for Luansobe. They have the finances and size to expand in Zambia. Colin is also based in the UAE and JLP has already done a deal with ILH. Given the power shortages in Zambia it will require a company with deep pockets to sort the issues out and the UAE has already announced they are going to invest in Green energy projects such as solar. Hopefully we will get an update this week on Luansobe and then the Afrimat confirmation shortly after. Maybe some publicity from Charles would add interest.
A takeover over of GLR by Sandfire using their shares is getting more likely every single day. Just my opinion.
If Sandfire wanted to move in and invest in Zambia for copper and with a company they already have a stake in of 5% ...
If Sandfire wanted to move in and invest in Zambia for copper and with a company th
Data I think Sandfire have a 10/15% stake in AFP but they have ditched the AFP kalahari licenses. So I see Sandfire more as a silent partner in AFP. However, GLR are definitely there for Sandfire to complete big deals and investment.
No doubt Sandfire will capitalise on this. They are worth nearly double than a year ago and a year ago they were raising billions of $ for re investment without even having earned a penny from the KCB.
Where will that investment go........companies they are already involved with. GLR, Cobre and AFP
That’s brilliant news! :-) I wonder when (not if) our remaining 100% owned Kalahari licenses will be sold off with a bonus deal thrown in. Lots of movement in the regions we are in.
Sandfire Share price up 56% in 6 months!
We original had
370,477 @ $5.2
I think we sold approx 1/3rd recently (I can't find the remaining number)
Now the Share price is up to $9!!!!
So we have recovered the value we sold and then some
They seem to be capitalising on the big mines that have previously been stalled due to bad management and Dept. Seeing the scenarios as an opportunity and coming in with a 51% stake buy in and helping with the debt. Mopani and now KCM.
The more money pumped into Zambia the better. The more competition for all the assets. The monopoly game and land grab is picking up pace
The UAE at it again: https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/uae-giant-eyes-majority-stake-vedantas-zambian-mines-expansion-drive-2024-04-19/

Another mine off line. Supply will only get tighter. Lets get Luansobe into production asap.
Irish, you want to be sure to be sure :-) No problem. It's all about probabilities and we have the Zambia MLC Minutes published, and the Zambia Cadastre Portal Update off the back of that. The overall probability has just gone up significantly and I expect to hear shortly.
We will soon be in the realms of price discovery by the market - slowly then quickly! I have my numbers, others will have theirs. I would be disappointed if this particular asset did not return a very good multiple of current market cap. The other assets will then be believed in even more, and they will also re-rate accordingly. All I will say is I am quietly confident for a very good 2024! I am hoping that GLR will be one of the top gainers on AIM for 2024.

I agree irishdemon "confirmation in writing will be needed by glr", saying that the way colin and the pleasant women ( apologies forgot her name/role) spoke in a previous interview about luansobe and going live in sept/October suggests there's much more going on behind the scenes.
Colin must have had enough insight from the decision makers to know they'll get required documents etc.. imo.
Question for you ana, as you brilliant with your calculations etc... with what we know about luansobe currently and current copper prices, what in your realistic opinion would be the MINIMUM reflection on sp.
Thay are unlikely to immediately issue an RNS in my view. If I were them I would await the latter of confirmation or whatever follows the cadastre update. Surely that letter is the definitive evidence of 'title' not that I doubt the cadastre but that in itself would hardly stand up in court as evidence of ownership !! It cannot be long between a cadastre update and whatever hard copy follows. Just guessing.
It reinforces the Zambia MLC results for sure :-) Great news and now we have the ticks in the box for whatever deal is being worked on. Produce - outsourcing, or Sell - plus the underground and the potential of the blue sky deeps - big bucks. I think every one of my £invested in Luansobe is going to do rather well from here. Maybe we will get Kalahari, Kamativi et al news soon as well. All those buses coming along would be massive and have a compounding effect. It’s a sunny day in more days than one! Thanks for the update DC.!
Hopefully Iky. Surely this license solidifies whatever plans we had in store for Luansobe. So if not an RNS for the license update, surely one is to come soon about the strategy for the asset. Or even better a "blow the doors off" bit of news about a sale or lucrative JV

Let the games begin...
Monday rns too early to expect?
The Minkng Cadastre has now been updated with "Approved for Granting" for the small scale mining License over Luansobe

This is huge now. Can't wait to see what GLRs next move is. 60kt of Copper in that asset
Marvin the Paranoid Android springs to mind
You worry too much Sumo. Key milestone reached - really significant - that was what I call stunning.
Expect a deal. That will be even more stunning.
Usual stunning performance!
Yes it all seems like buying yet the share price stays the same/drops a bit. Good news we could add more with the license news pretty much confirmed - in the last couple of minutes I did just that.
Of course until there is an RNS to that effect there will be some uncertainty, but IMO significantly better off here than we were even just a few days ago GLA
I doubt the 43 shares sold would have given them a life changing amount of money
So the SP is down today which is a demonstration of extreme naivety on those selling. It might be the biggest mistake they ever made.
Copper Touching $9,925 per tonne, will it go through $10,000
