No it's just covid19 or fooking lockdown unemployment caused by the fooking lock down....why dont they do this with the flu? It's all a con to write off debt
Pete everything is affected by this virus things ya wouldn't think possible

I'd say glencores lawyers are better than Amazon's due to the nature of glencores business over the years
Full cooperation with the SFO and a top team of lawyers should see any penalty reduced. Glencore are the top of the tree in these types of investigations, and so are the main target for the prosecutors, but this where the expensive lawyers will earn their money. Look how the lawyers of starbucks, amazon, facebook, etc, who paid a pittance of UK tax, and the facebook cambridge analyitical scandal negotiated minimal penalities for those companies, hopefully, it will be the same here!!!!
I cant see a massive fine if there is a charge to answer for ..withwhats going on in the world trillions in stimulus the world going to what csnt see glencore getting really punished can you?
I saw on the glencore news icon on this site, that the petrobras oil bribery investigation started in 2014 and charges on individuals and companies were issued from 2018 and the investigation is still ongoing.....so, as you said it could be a while yet
SUSPICIONS!!!! That's it for Frank's sake !! I suspect trump and boris are twins :-))) SUSPICIONS MY HARRIS!! A good accounting firm will dust that off with some creative accounting
Investigations 5 December, 2019
Following the announcement by Glencore PLC, the SFO confirms it is investigating suspicions of bribery in the conduct of business by the Glencore group of companies, its officials.......now then look at banks compared to glencore it's the equivalent of a kid pinching sweets in a sweet shop for glencore compared to banks laundering money from drugs prostitution
Re SFO investors sat on the sidelines will have a long wait serious fraud office dont rush it could be 2023 that's if these agencies have any real proof of brides..I mean really if they had solid evidence wouldn't they of acted on it immediately? How long is it now? Since it was announced that the SFO if investigating them?
Also, does anyone have any idea when/if charges will be issued concerning the ongoing corruption charges in the US and by the SFO in the UK, I believe this is a drag on the SP and until these matters are cleared/complete, long term investors will wait on the sidelines, and share will be traded between 166 to 188.
Taken from the half year report, net debt levels should be reduced from $19.7B to within the target range of between $10 to $16B by the end of 2020, this was one of the reasons for cancelling the dividends in 2020 to pay down the debt pile. This will be an indicator of any forthcoming dividends in 2021. The recent rise in coal prices will also help the case for the dividends to reinstated.
Re glencore coppers at a high price infrastructure is booming in china hence copper flying... up so with this first 6 months glencore made a fortune on oil did we get our divi? Fook no..but they should do the same again only on copper ...no? So looks good for next results ...famous last words
This board use to be quite active talking about Glencore. Maybe we are all just too depressed over the constant bad Glencore news to post anymore. I know I have stopped posting but still check out the board stupidly waiting for something positive to happen with Glencore.
does anyone know if there is a chat site for Glencore. I have found this one but nothing much discussed on Glencore but just a general chat site.
