Breatheasy, thank you for your kind words I also have respect for you that was a good post, I also give to charity I’m afraid I don’t put coins in the pot but support the heart foundation and heart of Kent hospice who made my mother father and quite a few of my close friends very comfortable in the final weeks of their lives.
Any way on not such a sad note I’ve been invited for Sunday lunch with the family today then watch rugby which will be a tough game as Ireland will be pulling everything out if the bag for a grand slam.
No harm done Breathe am also more than happy to wear a smile and leave it at that. As you say we all have our own strategies that suit us all honed over a long period in some cases, in my case im a longtermer dabbling in a bit of trading over a few recent years (i could have picked an easier period to start for sure).
Completely agree that we all 'chew the fat' and natter about all sorts on here, Its a really great board this one, got to be the best and most supportive friendly one on lse by miles. We're all a different bunch of characters, preferring different methods tactics risks and sectors, we share our thoughts and frustrations daily which is great to collectively learn from, hopefully to make a few quid along the way but i sense thats not the only reason most of the regulars are on here for.
Glad you made a few quid yourself on NCYT, and your donating monies is a real nice and charitable gesture that says a lot about you that you can be proud of. Have a great weekend, shall keep a watch on that rollercoaster on Monday :)
Daytrade your logical explanation for the skepticism of my share suggestion post a week ago is valid and I will take it on my chin with a smile. Apologies if it appeared as if I was teaching a granny to suck eggs. You gentlemen are seasoned investors probably and have your strategy. Honestly I suggested in good faith only on this board and nowhere else, as I have high regards for Ken and sensible bunch here.
Coming to my postings on LSE i dont have habit of posting one liner non contributary discussion posts. Having said that I used to enjoy the friendly banter between the 10 of you all like in a WA group on a public board here and enjoyed the great sense of humor you guys have and the lingo. Coming to my posts on NCYT I was posting only relevant news item article in favour of the longs including me. Some of you call it ramp but same can be said of posts on any board of all longs. A small board like this does not influence a share price or purchase. The cr**p spewn on NCYT board is bad with non stop repeats and dont check. Someone there started a group on telegram to keep it to logical, sensible discussion about long term prospects of NYCT.
Many AIM stocks have gone on to become FTSE 250 and FTSE 100 stocks for example Dominos, Numis, Abcam, Asos. Mears group etc.
Hats of to Novocyt a local UK company to come up with a diagnostic test with 100% accuracy for covid-19 in 2 weeks flat better than CDC or PHE kits. Roche has tied up Novacyt with Roche pushing their own diagnostic kit aside as this is better. NCYT have a good track record and a wide array of applications for aqua, food tech etc. Now if people want to pump and dump this it is sad day for such stellar companies. They help tackle acute diagnostics in pandemics (see their track record) or treatment. Such companies need better valuation and support. If this was on Nasdaq they would drive this share much higher and taken over as they are a brilliant bunch and need a break. With capital they can do better. I hope the price rises steadily and joins FTSE 250. Of course major dealings are on Paris exchange. Blame market makers who do the tree shake and make money.
Have donated to UNICEF and Medecins Sans Frontiers today to help lesser priveleged countries tackle Covid-19. We dont know when we may contract it. Wish you all good health and a good weekend.
breathe, happy to hear you have apparantly done well out of this one, knew we would.
However i am always sceptical of anybody popping up from nowhere spouting such confidence on a different share and encouraging others to buy in, especially on Aim, whilst telling the rest of us not to be sentimental etc etc over our own choice of investment
. I noted that you had been on lse for 5 years, yet only posted around 75 times in all that time until you started on about ncyt, you then doubled your post count in a month - that makes me quite sceptical for obvious reasons. Aim is nothing other than a casino where most investors lose money as all experienced investors know. Indeed some people have lost heavily so that you can allegedly benifit from their investements.
Good luck to you in your choices, but balance is needed in such situations, ncyt going from 8p to £7 and back down to 8p then upto £2ish ish over the years makes it clearly a gamble, oh and others called it first at a better price (just once).
Ken you dont have to put all your money dangerously. However for long term play you need to have 5 to 10 % of your portfolio in stocks which will make quick money for example say a £5k or £10k bet on a stock with good potential you come across.
As I said In 20 years I had never invested heavily in one stock but saw the opportunity and added ONLY as profits rose with a low purchase value with a buffer in case there was a big fall . I dont believe in adding more with a stock going down to average out. On hind sight I am glad I sold off Glen somewhere around 320 when the big fall started I think and bought TUI and SCT
Breatheasy, i always have respect for any board member and always take any comments on board and do my own research and you do sound a genuine guy, however there are a lot of guys that seem to think they can spout stuff off.
I hope you become a regular member of this board its a good board that is very diverse.
ATB
Either £ or shares you will get the idea and math Ken.
I regarded your views like many on this on this board a lot last year and we did discuss about TUI. I made loads by putting 50% of the holding at 800p level and had a good ride up with Brexit shenanigans out of the way.
Only thing I will humbly say is copper will go down. China is in big big trouble. They are building more temp hospitals in Wuhan. Perfect storm for a crash if and when Corona hits US. Markets betting on all feds and govt QE and printing cheap money. Sadly this will be worse than SARS. Apologies if I contradicted your view on copper for Monday. As a previous board colleague and always been long on stocks I hope you are right.
Very substantial revenue i have respect for that in a PI very brave i must say, but sorry i don't take risks like that as its very dangerous and i don't do danger.
£s or Shares ?
400k
Breatheasy, what do you call a very large holding share wise f you don't mind me asking.
Day trade novice please read my first post at 23.10 first and the 2 posts thereafter to understand the relevance.
CONVERSION FRANCE PRICE TO UK21 Feb 2020 10:34
Note - post from this morning at 9am
Back in bought bucket loads 70 to 75p this morning. Managed to sell a few at 99p and back in at 90p. NCYT has given me fantastic profit.
REALLY HAPPY to see big smile on all longs . Angryant et all surely you guys had a difficult night and morning with no RNS. Glad everything working well and you guys should make profits. Nice to see shorts BURN for a change
RE: Profit booked and out20 Feb 2020 19:38
Glad I sold everything between 8.15am to 8.45am today. Reason below from post this morning below. Should say whew.
Profit booked and outToday 09:32
NCYT thank you for giving me a whopping profit. All 4 family ISA accounts and 2 SIPP accounts glowing dark green.
Average buy in was 76.1p for a very large holding. Sold half between 190 to 165p monday, tuesday. Bought some yesterday 125 to 130p. No RNS today and not comfortable even though china news may be falsified. Sold all holdings between 103 to 110p as any sales over 10K shares was difficult to get through. Did not want to risk in case it crashed and go by my belief " a bird in hand is worth more than 2 in a bush"
Anyway best wishes to all holding and hope the FDA news comes in fast and takes you all on a nice ride up. May revisit if signs of pandemic becomes a reality......especially if over 10 sporadic cases comes up in USA. Have posted lot of positive info on this board to support NCYT last 2 weeks. Good luck all.
Hello Gentlemen. Thanks for you concerns about my investment in NCYT. If I tell you the amount of money I have made in Novacyt you will NOT believe. I have traded for over 20 years taking 1 to 3 or 5 percent profits (never got too greedy) and tripled my money. Have sold without hesitation taking 10 or 20% loss when stock crashed with poor outlook. Have my own rules with no sentimental attachment to a stock. Hence had a very good cushion of money to play big on a definite bet. You see with my advantage with medical knowledge I foresaw potential of NCYT and picked it low from 42p and added more which was when I politely suggested to you all. Sensibly cashed my money in at various points. Let me copy and paste 2 relevant posts from the NCYT board of mine and you can look at the share price movements thereafter after I sold if you want proof. You can also check my posts by clicking on my username.
When I suggested to you all to buy (never ramped please...it was just 1 post) if you had invested even a few thousand at 80p level this monday you could have sold out at 190p or 160 levels and made money.
Anyway guys I dont have to prove anything to anyone. Let me give hope to some of ye all that if you do your research properly and catch an opportune moment (really sadly in this case as I may be infected too who knows) a PI can make a killing in the stock market. I dont follow any candle graph bull****.
Also said last weekend that it will turn sadly into a pandemic.....well here we are with the mess in Iran, middle east and Italy. DYOR.
If and when the US FDA and China FDA approval comes through NYCT will take off. Win or lose I will come and post here gentlemen.
Good to know George, one for a bit of fun only i thought.
Have a good weekend all, hopefully a dry one.

Got more swings than Disney World that NCYT has - until it comes to sell em.
Not looking so rosy out there in Market land today, im going back out with the dog, at least theres a limit to the amount of cr@p he can produce.
hope ramper Breathe didnt put his house on NCYT like he was encouraging, sure he'll announce a huge' profit' regardless :)
Hope you didnt get in to deep there George.

Billy
