Wonder if the pathetic schoolchild walked there from Sweden, or took a carbon finre (unrecyclable) yacht? Nah, thought not. hypocrit.
Grumpy Thunberg has turned up at Glastonbury today, will Qz get to meet her?
Remember those days well Livin, how times change.

living the dream . That's us ;-)) coals a big Big winner
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/coal-makes-unwelcome-return-as-energy-crisis-engulfs-germany-and-europe-vp5m7bcx6
Times article stating that europe turns to coal for power through the winter months.
Just like the old days, scrambling around for 50p to put in meter before the lights go out!!!
Or locked up hopefully ;-)
Gretas gone bery quiet of late, hopefully she's discovered boys (or girls) or something and has gone back to school.
Fira yes we did ..re greta she can sod off too when it comes to the real world people need energy we need transportation to bring food to the shops ...how does she think she gets fed she need to come out of cinderella mode
Fira, im on the initial FiT tarrif, just over 62p per kwh for 25 years, great money spinner £2.5k back a year now linked to rpi and free leccy in the day. They screwed it down pretty rapidly to next to nothing now, but at current prices just the saving on the meter costs is worth the £3.5-4k they cost now to install. I paid over just £11k.
Take you four sunny summer days though to fill a Tesla.
They look good parked on your driveway should say and your telling your neighbours, hey look at me I'm helping the world... ..putin has given everyone a wake up call he can stick his gas up his arse ...long live coal come on glenda fooking genius move buying up coal assets GENIUS!
Yeah but yheyblook good on your drivevpsrked up ;-))) get an electric scooter or bike no one gets in your way no traffic jams no red lights
Did some research the other day on the ****test Ev car availible, a 24kw Zoe i think it was.
Max (yeah right) range 80 miles and 24kw to 'fill' it up.
Now on a blazing hot summers day my 4kw south facing solar Pv will generate around 23kwh.
So just enough to fill the car and get the Mrs to work and back for the day on a perfect day.
However the fly in the oitment is that the car will not be here in the day to actually take the charge, so it would need charging overnight, while i export my solar PV back to the grid for 4pence/kwh - which completely defeats the object of having solar Pv on the roof.
The whole system is cack handed and ill thought out.
Am buying shares in faraday cage manufacturers next week, you heard that tip here first lol
EV, thats spot on.
There has been some legislation out in the EU for a number of years now forcing manufacturers to put electronics into each electric vehicle at source so they can have a simple 'switch on' date and start that charging regieme.
All sorts of issues about privacy wrapped up in the same package, so will be interesting to see how its implimented, but its the cost per mile that everybody is waiting for.
Old non common rail injectored VW diesel with Bosch fuel pump and a biodiesel conversion plant required in the garage, you know it makes sense :)

Appreciate your informed posts. Heard a radio 4 podcast not long ago about how to charge owners of vehicle in the future apparently we will be sent a tracker and charged for the time spent on the road.
The reason electric cars havent 'taken off' is the Government havent announced what cost per mile they will be charging them to replace the fossil fuel taxes, that sure as eggs are eggs will be needed to keep the treasury going. Its that simple.
When they make such an announcment people can then make an informed choice as to the actual costs of being pretend 'green', but the delay in saying anything should tell you all you need to know.
In the meantime EV owners are making hay while the sun shines and enjoying the 'freebie' of paying nothing except the leccy costs, awaiting judgement day..
Re hs2 yes he would boris is a T.I.T
high energy prices, are a growth killer, that's the problem.
the world consumes about 100 million barrel per day and it's up about 50%,since 2020 prices
Qzqz, £2+ a litre of petrol should help....but the last 6 months in industry have been very quiet.
I work for a small multi national company manufacturing bespoke hydraulic systems for Tata, british steel, GE, Rolls Royce and other heavy industry and see this as a barometer of the wider picture. We have plenty of enquries, but not many orders.....possibly projects aren't being sanctioned due to higher costs, for example, would Boris have sanctioned HS2 at todays costs?
been brutal for miners/commodities this week, in particular the metals, but perhaps the lightening quick drop off in metals prices will slow the rate of inflation and should help lowering the peak of inflation, and get industry get back to normal, sooner. Wheat, oil and gas prices will stay high for longer for obvious reasons, inflation could even plateau for a few months till the next hike in gas/electric prices in october.....then hopefully the worst could over.

they reckon another 6 months,of high energy price,some think12
gonna be a long slog.lol.

troajan,
it will be eventually for sure, but currently not worth starving to death or slitting your throat for. The whole price rise thing has shown the neccesity for cheap green renewables and, all things being normal, that would be going great guns - just nobody can afford them now with Puktin causin mayhem and inflation, as part of his warmongering leverage, eroding joe publics spare cash.
daytrader
the markets dont seem that interested, but at some point, the green sector, especially energy
will be the kiddie.
Not good. They call it Dr. Copper and has been a reliable predictor of how the world economy unfolds.
