The link to the RNS was http://ir1.euroinvestor.com/asp/ir/GulfKeystone/NewsRead.aspx?storyid=12274483&ishtml=1 and I have sent it to an institutional investor in November 2018 with the comment: ”This discovery was so big that in January 2012, after only 4 tested wells, GKP issued a tender offer for a 450kbd pipeline with an option for a second one.”
@TM
You don’t want to phone RNS services and as I live in Europe I leave that for the Brits as it’s easier for them.
” Since I am trying to make money from this investment, what sort edge do you think finding out what happened will provide?”
I am just trying to make public the fact that planed output of Shaikan was 500kbd which should warrant a market cap higher than 500 mio$.
I have emailed the cy and myself, but I saw that it went in my spams.
If I write another email to the cy, I will not advise the bb.
That’s all for that subject.
"
If the threshold was crossed as you say, why haven’t the cy issued an RNS informing the market that the threshold has been crossed?"
They don't have to. The terms of the VCP are all on their website. They will update the disclosure in the annual report. They HAVE issued an RNS for a block listing of new shares relating to the expected issuance of shares pursuant to the future exercise of options granted - and now vested - under the VCP. If the options hadn't vested there'd be no need for the block listing. In order to vest the threshold had to be crossed. Just because you got lazy in your calculation of the threshold doesn't mean that the reality of the situation is that the 8% CAGR wasn't achieved.
"PUTUP how much are you paid to post here?"
Nothing. Why, am I missing out on a revenue stream?
"wrong ;) "
Hmm. Invstrat admits to being spammer Paul?
"you see some of we longtermers on here have seen ‘contributers’ come and go,"
And ya still haven't learnt much over the years have you? Oh well, every game needs at least one fish.
I think it is unbelievable so much time that this subject.
@Bravedog, did you get a reply to your email to GKP about the matter? If so, what was the gist of it?
My problem is that you are the one who is adamant there were two RNSs but you have not provided any verifiable evidence that there were.
What benefit do you see in chasing something from over 9 years ago?
Since I am trying to make money from this investment, what sort edge do you think finding out what happened will provide?
I had a well documented history on the old UKX site on iii of collaborative working - in this case I need more to get my interest.
At this stage I don’t fancy ringing up the Customer Services at the RNS organisation and start by explaining I am contacting them about an alleged missing RNS from Jan 2012 that I personally know nothing about.
@Bravedog, the pipeline project was announced on 12 January 2012 according to the RNS in your post. This (announcement) doesn't have to be by RNS, does it?
Best Regards ValueS
@TM
Taken from RNS dated 12 March 2012 https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/gulf_keystone_petroleum/news/rns/story/x8g29pw
Shaikan Field Export Pipeline Project
On 6 March 2012, Gulf Keystone initiated a tendering process for the export pipeline site construction and installation for the Shaikan field export pipeline project.
As part of the ongoing tendering process for the materials procurement for the Shaikan field export pipeline project, which was announced on 12 January 2012, bids are currently being received with the technical and commercial evaluation to follow.
Gulf Keystone is the Operator of the Shaikan block with a working interest of 75 per cent and is partnered with Kalegran Ltd. (a 100 per cent subsidiary of MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Plc.) and Texas Keystone Inc., which have working interests of 20 per cent and 5 per cent respectively.
Where is the RNS of January 12 2012? I posted it here before and it worked. I also forwarded it to some II.
I did find this discrepancy and I leave it to you on the bb to finish the job as this bb should be a collaborative work. If no one dares to scratch further, it means there are only trolls and bots on this bb.
@Bravedog, since the second RNS refers to the missing first one, if it was an attempt to hide information it would be a very poor attempt IMO.
Once an RNS is published there is a facility to “replace” it if necessary but I can find no reference to being able to remove it from the central database.
Have you contacted the RNS people themselves and asked about the issue?
Have you logged in with the incorrect email address? Haha.. Well
@Nobull
Have a look at my previous posts (around mid February) where I explained that on March 12 2012 the issued an RNS informing that the tender offer was ongoing as announced in the RNS dated January 12 2012.
I even included the link to the previous RNS, but now it doesn’t work because they changed their website.
2 months ago, old links using euroinvestor where active, but not this one. How strange!
Yes, it is probably a breach of rules but I believe the new Investor Relations is aware of the rules of the LSE and that he will correct an error made by the IT department that was probably outsourced in another country.
"PUTUP how much are you paid to post here?"
Nothing. Our shares are probably fair value now even if they move up to £2.60 next February. All that will have changed if our share price is £2.60 then will probably be that the present value of the future cash flows will be higher and maybe more certain, I wonder? I can't see how posting can push the share price down unless the posting content is unpublished negative share price sensitive info. When has Putup posted any such info?
BraveDog,
On the alleged missing RNS in 2012, I don't think there is any. Putting out to tender a contract to build a pipeline probably is not share price sensitive info. It is capex info once a price is agreed to build it, I wonder? If the company had failed to disclose a commercial oil discovery and secretly put out a tender to construct a pipeline to sell the oil, then that might be a breach of the rules, I wonder? I presume the size of the discovery was signaled to the market before the tender was put out. Just a thought.
Please don’t take things too personally Put Up, you see some of we longtermers on here have seen ‘contributers’ come and go, and can spot put ups a mile away.
The Financial World is basically that of simple arithmetic - peppered with a few buzzwords to impress, seduce and convince the layman as to the superior wisdom of the contributor with a mission.
Not an exact science then - and no evidence of solid analysis to back up the superiority of the utterings.
Good luck in your next assignment.
PUTUP how much are you paid to post here?
wrong ;)
but don’t feel so bad at least you get paid for being on here :))
" Got me thinking how many are actually him on here?"
My bet is pessimistic Invstrat isn't one of them
I really think these boards are a psychologists dream
A poster on the other side has shown that the internet spammer Paul has over 100 names on Advfn alone plus what he has on Twitter. Got me thinking how many are actually him on here?
Lots of avatars but actually only one man pushing the same agenda?
How easy is it to control a forum and the way people think?
