I have several thoughts on this.
1. You guys discussed sanity. Sanity is overrated -- if anyone doesn't agree with me, just look at the last two weeks of GGP.
2. MVIS probably does not include options in free float MCAP. Therefore, these employees are really only doing this to boost our weighting at the next rebalancing, because they love the shareholders. Honest. Nothing in it for them at all. LOL.
3. Since these are not directors their sells do not have to be reported. They/he have certainly sold some of these shares to pay the taxes. They may have sold them all -- paying 2.5p to get 20p seems like a savvy move to me, and more power to them. If so, this may have contributed to the drop this week.
4. Glad we're using options as part of the compensation package, makes the cash last a little longer.
Why? I totally accept what you've said about a diluted MC. All I'm saying is that it's important to clarify on what basis anyone makes a statement about MC under the accepted formula's.
Well then I give up.
Jerry. I'm purely using the accepted formula's for each, nothing less.
Sorry TT but you are wrong. Look at where the option strikes are. The highest is I think 2.5p. Whats the chance of that being exercised at the moment? 100%.
So at current prices its 100% likely that the fully diluted shares in issue is the ONLY number you should be using.
If there were options at 40 or 50p I would have a slightly different view, but there arent any.
Market Cap is calculated based on ISSUED and also FULLY DILUTED - which includes unconverted warrants / performance options and so on.
Agreed.
@ Jerryspaniel "...any sane person should include the fully diluted shares in issue in any calculation of mkt cap."
Surely that's down to what anyone is saying, at any particular time, about a company market cap? The importance is what's stated at the time. You're not insane stating the accepted accepted market cap formula.
The market cap is based on the current market price of all its outstanding shares – that is, the stock currently in investors' hands.
A company's fully diluted market capitalization is what its market cap would be if all stock options were exercised and all convertible securities were exchanged for shares.
It's clearly important, but nothing to do with sanity, which is stated. :-)
Mrninjazx6. You really dont understand options do you? But you thought it worth a ridiculous comment?
These options are part of the fully diluted shares in issue, so any sane person should include the fully diluted shares in issue in any calculation of mkt cap. Its approx 4208 million. And after todays announcement, guess what? Its still 4208 million.
And thats why this board is going downhill faster than Franz Klammer on steroids.
Hi. New to the board but not to the stock. I suspect this is the same employee who exercised back in May at 9p (Ben Wasse). I wouldn’t read much into this.
8.5m sells causing such a drop? Unlikely. I guess a lot of LTH's sitting on large amounts of money here decided to derisk and cash in after two consecutive red days.
Just have a look at the long-term chart: the extremely steady upward trend is all due to Havieron, and we're now pretty much back to the expected levels and the trend will continue unabated. That's not including any Scallywag results! If those results are good, we'll have a hell of a ride up, and the trend will continue from there. The same will happen when the MRE for Havieron arrives.
To those scaremongering: if options are given out in the future, they'll be at prices 10 - 20 times the previous level, so exercising them won't cause a massive drop! Got any better straws to clutch at now?
Would today's RNS be the reason for the short sharp fall yesterday..?
Nothing wrong with rewarding employees.
At the PLC I work for, we have similar incentives. It motivates staff to go beyond their salary as they have skin in the game.
I would take this as an indication of the character of the board. I like it.
LoggyLogBot
Correct, I added them up and it says 'Including' Doh !
I've just gone and cleaned my glasses, the world is brighter....... : )
Chester
You Lucky Lucky b=ggers
Chester I think it's £137,500
It dosent matter how many are left now, it matters how many more will be issued/awarded in the future, and you're kidding yourself if you think there won't be any.
Hope that helps, clever dickie.
Nothing to worry about.
New Market Cap @ 20p £760.49 Million
Worth noting..No options exercised by the directors...
Tell us how it will be 6 billion ?
What options and warrants are left clever dickie
Another £275k into the prospecting coffers.....
Chester.
Will get one for sure next week maybe 01/10. Hope that all the remaining 84 mill plus block listing warrants have been sold into this massive rise
There will be 6 billion shares in issue before long at this rate.
Can't fault them for that.
