If you’ve ever watched gold rush you’ll know that’s exactly what it means.

Yes, crystal. It means you don’t know what is happening any more than we do!
Thank you for sharing your information.
It is much appreciated.
It is in keeping with many other generous posters on here.
Sandgrounded - got it eventually ;-)
Haha ..that got me giggling Tig.
Now I seem to remember one of the messages coming from your once-removed 'contact' within the machinery hire business, that NCM were trying to get every man and his uncle to get there with the purpose of taking the cap of the mine. I presumed at the time that this would be to facilitate easier/ more economic/effective drilling.
I wonder if this is the 'over-burden' referred to today?
That message seems to confirm what we already know from Paddy’s satellite pictures, The ore body is getting wider longer and deeper. ( the hole).
Hey Tig, I'll take it your source is referring to the planning stage & that the planned hole/decline/overburden is becoming greater as they understand more about the scale of Haverion.
""" So let’s be clear. There is a suggestion that ‘there is a lot of overburden to remove’. That is the removal of the covering of the ore body In mining. Tell us..what do you think it means? """
Extraordinarily, I reckon that it means that there is a lot of overburden to remove . I hope that makes it a bit clearer.
Tig
It may simply be the moving of overburden that has become waterlogged after the heavy rains and is becoming a nuisance to plant being moved in. Safety wins over everything.
This board is part of all of our DYOR. Hence if something comes onto it that suggest a significant move forwards in the project others are likely to question it. So let’s be clear. There is a suggestion that ‘there is a lot of overburden to remove’. That is the removal of the covering of the ore body In mining. Tell us..what do you think it means?
gold..So where are you getting the >> decline from...<< there is no mention of a decline..
I am not providing a detailed mine progress management report. I am not a Magic trained geologist, nor an interpreter of the satellite scene.
I am just passing on a couple of e-mailed comments ( genuine ) from a very good mate.
As one frequently needs to re-iterate on this board ..... DYOR..... DYOR.
I rest easy in my patient anticipation ......... MAIYDTS........ ( my advice is you do the same )
Tig
I think that’s the point. Removing overburden suggests digging rather than drilling. It sounds dubious that any decline digging has commenced without an announcement to that effect as it would absolutely be material to the share price of both Newcrest and GGP.
I can read. I'm aware that the lockdown restrictions have been reduced in the last two weeks from my brother in law in Perth. I know permits have to be granted before mining commences and as most people are aware there is a time lag between drilling and us getting the news. Unless tigger received his message by a carrier pigeon then I'm intrigued with this phrase
" Says hole is getting wider, longer and deeper, a
lot of overburden to remove but all going in the right direction. ""
gold..they cant do a decline until they get all the permissions through 1st..try and reread tig,s post.. " news is neither earth shattering ( need it be , now ?? ), nor SP stimulating " So can't see where your getting your decline from
Hi Tig which report and from what source is genuine/factual...confused.com !
Am I reading in between the lines they have started a decline already?
My contact ( brother of ) has been in touch , - the report is quite genuine ( though there are some cynical disbelievers still around ), and the news is neither earth shattering ( need it be , now ?? ), nor SP stimulating ( there will be plenty of that shortly ) . But , it is a report from the source , and is factual. Cut and pasted ( you will have to believe that ) . When we eventually get to the Stag on The River, I will hopefully bring my contact along ( Balmy Arnie / Ernie will be banned ).
"" Hi ******.
We are still OK and managed to see my sister and Brother in law half way
between us and Lyme.
GGP doing very nicely though my brother says progress is slower than thought
due to restrictions on travel and precautions with those in the camps to
prevent spread of virus. Says hole is getting wider, longer and deeper, a
lot of overburden to remove but all going in the right direction. ""
At least we know that NCM are doing there damnedest to ensure no Covid hold-ups. And ALL to be substantiated / illuminated / revealed next week.
Just a little more patience required .
Tig
