Only about 100m depth to basement at Scallywag
Ideally you'd still want a diamond hole to confirm the full stratigraphy and what's at depth. However, from memory yes the scally sites are under less permian cover so it's possible early holes won't need to go to such depths. I can't remember what the cover on scally is off the top of my head though
sorry, ignore last line !!
Hi Paddy / Magic / anyone ?
It has been stated Scallywag mineralisation is not deep ie RC drills
However, if the mafic dyke / mineralisation / granite bodies etc does extend
up towards our Scallywag targets would the proposed drilling not need deeper Diamond Core ?
Thanks... Rup
to go deeper via Diamond Core drilling as opposed to RC drills
"more metal endowed" - lol. what a great expression!
I've pinged an email to Artemis to try and establish a communication line. I think given their early exploration status they may be more open to comms about the Paterson than ggp.
Yes Paddy I did see that. All very good for trying to support regional targets and the idea that the Paterson could be a more metal endowed than first thought
Hi All. So, 74p it is then. ATB Speedy
16.49 Paddy - so we are bound for Rio Ground (Duran Duran if I recall)
Yes, Magic and Paddy, much appreciated from me too.
Apart from the quite good information in the release, then a noticeable point about the Artemis release; Havieron is mentioned 31 times !! definitely the benchmark for gold exploration in Oz.

Thanks Magic, your input is much appreciated. It always helps when someone such as yourself takes the time to explain.
Hi magic - nice to have some professional opinion to back up my amateurish stab at trying to explain the map.
Looks very, very exciting from where I am looking. Have you noticed that the mafic dyke that runs through Havieron also continues up northwards and eventually terminates near the Outamind target and there also appears to be another splay fault that travels north through the RIO ground and bisects Outamind & Goliath - looks like there are multiple fluid pathways, granitic bodies, etc, etc.
All the necessary components, and we already know there was a mineralisation event (or multiple ones) in the region so the probability of other deposits have dramatically increased if this map is proven to be correct.

BR cont ..... but it sounded exciting
I think i just wet my pants, and i have no idea what you said MT!!
Can't believe I missed this! Very interesting stuff from Artemis. This adds further weight to our theory of ore formation at Havieron. The identification of granite at depth is an important find for the model I envisaged in my videos and supported by others such as Hydrogen on here. Although its only an interpretation, the seismic interpretation alongside knowledge of the local geology seems to show a structural configuration similar to Telfer. By that I mean - on the map you will see some pink lines with arrows - these mark out supposed antiforms and synforms. If these folds affect all the rock units we can call them anticline and syncline. If that is the case - if the oldest rocks are in the core of the fold (anticline) - it appears Havieron sits right on a synformal anticline (sorry for the jargon).
Lots of faults a plotted on the map = lots of potential fluid pathways. You can see based on this map how complex the structural configuration in this area might be. The key takeaway is that Artemis believe that they have a deep granite, structural features and of course gold mineralization similar to Havieron in their area. In essence they strongly support the idea proposed here over the past few months. For us their map - like Paddy says - shows the Havieron fault draped around our targets at Scally and their "magnetic rock units" underneath its contact. So Scally looks like a prime area for targeting mineral deposits.
*There maybe
MattJ - we have not yet had the clearance re the Martu indigenous people, so no drilling at SW until those discussions have been finalised.
Thanks Paddy - it puts it all into perspective. I wonder what is holding Gervais up with the drilling in Scallwag announcement?
Before or after Thursday?

Matt
I noticed there was a lovely new image on the Artemis release from last night that showed the whole area in detail with new interpretations of the Havieron Fault, Mafic intrusions & granitic bodies which I hadn't ever seen before. I decided to import the image into Google Earrth and see how it lined up with our targets in Scallywag & Paterson Range North.

See where the Havieron Fault Line folds back on itself and then dips to the South into the RIO ground - 3 of the Scallywag targets - London, Kraken & Blackbeard are all located in that area. That looks like a very good place to be drilling with the fault line folding around and surrounding the targets on 3 sides.
There is also another fault line that splays off the Havieron Fault Thrust and heads North through the RIO ground and up into our Paterson Range East and you can see where it goes to in relation to the targets up there also.
