Hi Hydrogen
I was trying to be conservative with my £4bn .
The biggest catalyst in my opinion would be a Newcrest buy in of say 10-20% as I have mentioned before the 20% stake by Linde into ITM this time last year sent the price rocketing from 40p to £3+. I'm not suggesting Ggp could match that but could hit £1.50 with that scenario.
Exciting times :))
Dodge - Good post and totally agree.
Everyone can say DYOR, etc but if you are not a geo, mining or financial expert then, for some, reading lots of RNS, data and webpages doesn't mean it will fill you with confidence to part with your money and buy shares; and even if you do have the confidence then you could still sit there with some worry or a nagging doubt in your head that you've done the right thing.
That's why this board is a great place to be; as you are well informed on all aspects of GGP/NCM/Mining and Geology, and you can get involved in discussion and feel part of a group of like minded people who have also invested their own money to try and achieve the same outcome as yourself - and importantly, it gives you confidence in what you have invested in.
I certainly have improved my knowledge of GGP through this board.
cheers Hydrogen "5 Billion quid" potential just after I said we don't do rampy here lol !!
PS Mushroom I was a left footer and even when I was the ONLY left footer in the team would still warm the bench how depressing is that !!
agreed , scally is the big one
Well it's clear, Scally is holding us back at the moment....until news is released even with Hav 10/10 positive drill results this evening - positive drill results at Scally will open the resistance point and we may well see the S/p fly past the 30-40p range. IMHO just a matter of time for GH to strategically release the Kraken and I don't think London Bridge will be burning down! GLA
Agree totally re the collective brainpower here. Imagine if it was like the average LSE board. I wouldn’t be in this happy position.
World markets are a dampening effect, but let’s keep in mind our special standing over the weeks ahead that will outperform the broad market.
BTW. Please take care tonight when using the expression about blowing the doors off the SP. With my handle I get a slight tremor when I read that.
New thread suggestion: “appropriate phrase to describe SP lift off” . All / any suggestions welcome.
To start us off: “BOOM shackalack”
;)
Haha...fair play Dodge. Actually, I used to play left-midfield on the football pitch even though I am primarily right-footed. All because my dad used to make me practice with both feet.
I shall continue to hold, my friend (appropriate comma inserted there), until the Mickey levels have been reached!
Morning Tom
I don't normally get involved with price predictions, I just prefer to focus on what we have asset wise.
At the moment the share price is probably about right or a little bit under for what we have.
Confirmation of what Havieron has will have a positive effect and increase the value.
Progressive working on other fields firming up the value will also increase the sp.
You know I'm not a ramper but after the results of Kraken, Goliath , Los Diablos and Parlay, the mine Decline starting and the MRE the sp should be on it's way to a £.
If you take low asset values to each target it's quite easy to get to £4bn after all Havieron has pushed us to nearly £1bn.
If Kraken has similar results to H and is double the size, what value would people put on it £1bn, £2bn.
Very exciting times :))
BUT.........if only they could keep it up and running smoothly all of the time.
Tig
As well as being entertained and amused by comments like -from pond-liners to ocean-liners
Ha Ha nice one Mush :))
....and where would we be without mush's left field interpretation of the good & great on here?
Keep 'em coming mush, can't imagine this board without you my friend...did I say that out loud?....on a public forum...?
Nurse.....NURSE...
@ Dodgemeister,
As always, you are absolutely right.
This LSE site is quite unique - in the very number of people who follow, use, contribute etc. to the site;
In the quality of those relative few who come up with diligently researched data, info, links, solutions;
In those who also diligently analyse that data , and add to it , occasionally correct it , assist it;
The site is unique in the available library of info available in addition to one of the best company websites there is ;
It could not be better , perhaps with some concession to the odd ******s who deliberately set out to disrupt, abuse, and annoy. But they can always be filtered personally.
A brilliant site. Always a reasonable read, Frequently , for dumbells like me, an extraordinary source of everything I need to know, and an outlet for my occasional erudite thinking
Good luck to all tonight. For the time being keep those mits sub Paddybum, and may be remove one mit at 10-30pm tonight as the golden sun rises.
Tig on a journey.
I can safely say that my errr second-to-none investment skills come from the information gleaned from this board. Let's face it, this contains a complete tome of brainboxes working in unison. Sometimes it remind me of those science fiction films where a disk is found containing the complete knowledge of humankind. You plug yourself in to the board and ten minutes later you know everything there is to know from pond-liners to ocean-liners.
Hear hear Dodge.
I'd rather have a mix of opinions and the background that so often accompanies it to interpret as I wish than have nowt!
Dodge
Agree with most of what you say - I only adjusted my internet filters in the Spring due to lockdown - so I could register for skype and zoom to keep in touch with family and friends. Otherwise I would not even have registered for LSE (albeit I had been reading for 2 years previously).
Do not use twitter - grateful Paddy puts a link up for the satellite info.
Great post Dodgemeister...without this Forum I would be far less informed. However the caveat is there are many forums on LSE that are dangerously rampy etc where your own external research is critical which I have learned the hard way from however I have never found the GGP board to be one of them . GLA MFU
For me the chat forum is a integral part of the overall investment case for GGP, so to say it's irrelevant and DYOR research is a bit churlish. The quality of the information available to all and sundry on this board is second to none and should not be underestimated. It's a place where newbies gauge sentiment and garner information to help in assessing the case for an investment decision. It's where regulars interact with like minded people.
...and for those of us not in the Telegram groovy gang, those of us who abhor social media and those of us who are not members of the twitterati - its a vital link to Paddys research.
Rup hi,
Welcome back, just like a long hang over :-)))
ATB & GL
Tom :-))
Only 24 hours any more than that my subscription may have been cancelled !!
Fair enough though as the rules are the rules......
I wonder how much politics apart from covid crash is yet to be played- RIO still looking for a CEO , what direction will he and the board take them re interest in the Pilbara.Canberra would like an Aussie ,will it be MR Biswas ,yet the largest RIO share holder is Chinese ,but the Australian relationship with China is not good- .Rio have a big elephant in their room with an iron ore mine in Guinea - half being developed by the Chinese ,do the Chinese want to share costs with RIO on their half- if they develop amulti billion mine will that MASSIVE iron ore production affect the price of iron ore and so RIO's profits from other of their big iron ore mines eg in AUS and so will RIO want to take there interests else where but if they try to sell the Guinea mine what will RIO lose by doing so --RIO ,I think have to appt a CEO by end of march next yr when the current one will step down .Quite a few possible internal candidates have left recently .Just musings which may or not be relevant
Hey spy , if scally is as good as many are adhering to it’ll be well before the MRE and will take the top of the ants nest sp wise . Look out for the N/W progress to tonight , you’ll see more than a few pence on the sp if that’s open .
Agree TomE slightly down beat today
I remain very encouraged with the amount of big buys
Covid can work both negatively and positively for us
Fundamentals and pending announcements still very positive
Best Rup
ps Off line for a while via Scheimel-esque L2 reporting ban on here !!
and we will end up at 48p cob tomorrow and all stupid....lol
Warren Buffet takes holding in Greatland? Would that do anything??
we have averaged around 2p per month on the activities surrounding 1 licence. if SW proves to be of the same formation as Hav, we could see some higher gains, other than that the next big move will probably be the MRE.
Price targets not changed, just the timing.
