Thrashed some sanity into my Android phone.... and Sentinel Hub is now visible in all its technicolour (or indeed black and white if I change filter) glory. So I'm finally looking at today's image:
Northern 50m by 50m square area is a new curiosity. It doesn't tie in with any nocturnal lights - one on the 22nd Oct 2019 is about the closest but is still a few hundred meters away. I thought the darker dot in the top left hand corner may be a drill hole? Is there something dodgy about the terrain so they have moved a lot of earth to form an embankment to contain any spills and to keep any flash flooding out? Maybe its advance planning for all the heavy vehicles to park in a compound prior to the creation of the decline. Keeps an oil or diesel spills inside a known area they can clean up later.
Other oddity is in the SW beyond the dune bridge - the most recent peppering of new holes seem to have vanished? Could it have been the after effects of the rain storm that has now dried out. It seemed odd for that flurry of activity to be new drill pads when the most recent nocturnal image didn't show anything happening over there, and day and night images were about 36 hours apart.
Looking froward to the 11th(ish) of June for the interims - should be the first proper tally of the cores from the original Emmental cheese in the south west.
Please note I have resisted the temptation to suggest the square is the first part of the "H" they are creating in order to spell out "Hi Paddy" for the satellite.
Hi Mineral,
Not too exciting I know but if you are on iPhone/iPad etc and use maps (click i and tab satellite) you can view activity later to that currently shown on Google E.
The workings you can see predate the SW stuff but the quality is comparable to Google. (13 workings shown I think)
Kind regards
UR
We should ask Gervaise to claim the pin on the map, which is an option when you click on it, as Greatland Gold's business.

At some point should we start looking for heavy plant equipment on the satellite images. They would have to be either out working or parked up ?????
Nice post Hydrogen. I wish the Google satellite images were more up to date. It's great that the Google Map satellite has a pin for Havieron (as a petrol station), but it only shows it with an image from the time of when we had only 4 rigs. Would love to see it as it is now with all the activity.

Thank you Mr Hydrogen :-)))))
and S1982
thanks pg
Good to have your opinion..using the Planet site you can see it was not there on the 2nd June. Also I am able to see a road/clearing leading up to it. How far would the decline need to be from main site?
Hi Spratt - yes mate I can see it.
Initially I thought from first glance it was just a shadow from a cloud but it's definitely looks too regular shaped to be that.
Curious - maybe tigger's man has finally gotten the go-ahead.

Thanks paddy, if you zoom out you can see the mysterious square north of the dune..
Something that does stand out is a huge disturbance north of the northern dune between the camp and the main drill site , approx 1.7km from centre of main drill site at approx 10 o'clock direction. The disturbance is 50m/50m square...could this be the start of the decline/removal of top covering layer?..it is not present on the 2nd June sat pic.
Today's image is up

Like CB says not too much new in the NW but to be expected as the rigs only got set there last week. They seem to have entered one of the old holes in the centre of the system again and a bit of new activity in the NE and the 'old' SW.
I'll get some comparisons done later - but suffice to say, they definitely haven't stopped working so lets put that rumour to bed.
