Good points by you all
Just point to newcrest 2019 annual report
Exracted from as follows
"The greenfield growth pipeline was enhanced with new exploration projects entered into
Ground in fertile gold/copper districts including the Patterson province of Western Australia"
Ggp have the fertile gold/copper district(Newcrests words not mine)
Newcrest need this feed for Telfer to continue
There should be a new contract with MacMahon
I'm sure newcrests drillers are expert enough by
Just looking at cores they know when to keep drilling, and they have
All should be revealed this coming week
All in my opinion of course
There's no chance of GGP selling down further. Either NCM spends USD65m and Havieron is a Tier1 asset or it's uneconomic because it's too deep. At say 2g/t Au & 0.5% Cu Havieron will need to have a lot tonnes, >250mt? It;s going to take more than 20-25 holes to indicate if that is likely. I think it is entirely possible but we'll just have to be patient while Newcrest probes away. No doubt PG will keep us abreast from time-to-time with NCMs progress via his wonderful satellite images.
I hope he doesn't sell it off - keep hold of the 25/30% and watch it roll in.
Lovely jubley - Paddy
I don’t believe GH is interested in selling Havieron unless of course there is a royalty arrangement. Havieron will hopefully become an income stream to fund growth removing any need for future fundraising.
Its all a bit ridiculous in that Numis is an institutional broker, GGP has a s/holder base that is mainly PIs and yet we cant see what they are saying.
I know that Solgold make their broker coverage available via their website. GGP should do the same.
Also we never got to see the first note from Numis. The first we heard was a tweet from Primorus saying a broker note had been released with a target of 4p - then a couple of days later an article appeared on the Proactive Investors website with excerpts from the note - I don't know if anyone on here ever saw our had access to the complete first note. Apparently it was over 30 pages so must have been pretty comprehensive.
GLA Paddy
I know mate - shocking performance again. I know the ABs were ruthless but we just didn't turn up again - same as Argentina 4 years ago. ****ing frustrating being an Ireland rugby team. Just gotta hope one of the 3 Northern hemisphere teams left can stop them.
I agree it would be nice to see what was in the second note - I might drop an email to GGP and see if I get a reply.
GLA Paddy
I disagree paddy. Brokers can’t do much analysis these days without a great deal of access to the management. The numis analyst will certainly have spoken to GH and so the quid pro quo should/could be a wider audience to the research after x days.
How did we see the first note?
Anyway commiserations on rugby but it’s not like it was close or you were robbed.
Another thought, if those step outs are great we could be suspended pending a cheeky early offer from NC
Certainly not the time to be out. Imagine trading it, and your out, and suspends and then re opens at 5-6p
Mmmmmm
I don't think GH gets any say in it. Numis do the research for their customers. I contacted them before but they said they only issue the research to clients with over 100M portfolios.
I guess someone like proactive may be able to publish snippets like before with their permission.
I think the way this is playing out we are going to prove it up to the point NC has a fairly accurate resource estimate and then we are going to say “instead of buying the last 5%, have the lot for 500m”
Just my gut instincts, i dont see GH wanting to go the distance, i would be ok with that if it nests us an sp of somewhere between 10-20p and loads of capital to progress other projects.
Tick tock, roll on Tursday.
I think GH should ensure that it gets to a wider audience. Especially now that it’s a month out of date already!
Numis already put out a second note on the 10th September but nobody has access to it or nobody who is willing to share. See their research page here
https://www.numiscorp.com/x/MainResearchDownload.html?id=24962&stype=stock&secid=314
I would imagine they will do more notes as and when the assays are reported.
GLA Paddy
Does anyone have an idea when NC will have a stab at a first MRE? Do we have to wait till they have completed the farm in requirements?
Otherwise it’s all a bit of guesswork, unless they tip off numis for them to revise their note.....
To me, it’s infill drilling now they are now on with. The grid pattern, small step outs, more activity on and over the same area already covered all suggests to me they have a segment they are very happy with and continue to test just how deep the thing actually goes.
Of course it’s a defining week, all the doomsters said on the last newcrest update would contain no info of note , they will be wrong again , the newcrest shareholders need the news to remember .
Fair point
Rocket the wrong choice of word but
It should send the sp to a new higher level
Just getting a bit overexcited
You must admit it's looking promising though
Goodluck
I agree Rup - the assays need to do the talking now but there are a couple of pointers that say these should be good.
As has been said - Newcrest putting GGP front and centre of annual reports, presentations, etc bodes well.
Also Newcrest are not going to keep putting 1000m holes in the ground if they are not expecting good results.
The pattern of the recent drills also back up what GH said in the last update.
• Newcrest will complete Phase 1 drilling in September and commence Phase 2 of the Havieron
exploration programme which includes plans to significantly increase the amount of both step out
and infill drilling.
I don't know how many of these step-out and infills will be reported but the ones that are not reported this time will be reported in the next update - one way or another Havieron will reveal her secrets over time.
GLA - Paddy
Ok …….. personally I can't agree 'just yet' with comments that the
SP will rocket and discovery is mind boggling huge !
What has changed since the last NC update ?
More holes have been drilled on site… many of these assays will not be available for Thursday
Average results from BH
Just very cautious as the SP has been set to re-rate quite a few times.
What news on Thursday would we need to gain sustainable SP growth to say the Numis 4p target ?
ATB…………. Rup
the haverion discovery is mind boggling huge!
expect big gains on sp early part of next week
Hey Stout, on this map from Newcrest you can see that it has helpfully made the grid 300m by 300m spacings. This is helpful because Greatland had previously described Havieron in plan view as a 300m x 300m (previously 600m in an earlier RNS) anomaly. https://greatlandgold.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Havieron-Drill-Hole-Locations-092019.jpg
Make up you own mind on what the drilling suggests but if it is 200m x 200m and let's go big and assume has depth of 1000m then the orebody is 120mt. Not a bad start.
Perhaps next year's AGM for a first resource statement BTB? Some repeats of HAD005 would be good to start building the resource towards 500mt! BTW there's lots of copper at Havieron too.
Those extreme holes east & west suggest drilling is going very deep. Previous Greatland gravity & magnetic surveys indicated Havieron anomaly went beyond 1200-1400m depth, plunging steeply to the SE. This could be a monster with very good grade which is what is needed since there is about 400m of cover before mineralisation starts.
Krikey as Steve irwin would say it looks like
My comment on covered in jam or something golden has shut you all up for the weekend
I will keep my pants on so don't anyone have
Any nightmares
Just dream of huge golden results in them cores
That we should have next midd week
Paddy
Between you and me anything golden
Would be simply delicious
