Keep in mind that the 4 Holes we announced on the RNS on the 1st of Sept at Juri
Also had written on that RNS that 5 more drill holes are already at assay labs and will be back in the coming month.
Now Shaun said last week/ this week these 5 will now be back beginning of November.
So that’s plus two months from that RNS plus however long they had been in the lab already, seems they are falling further behind than catching up at the moment as they get the new lab up to speed, so don’t get to excited about how many holes we will get next week but let’s hope we get loads but being realistic the evidence is telling you they are still in a period of 2 to 3 month return on assays in the labs and possibly why the MRE might get delayed until next year.
I hope I am proven wrong…..
Having read the description, my big concern with this device, is if it can actually truly register the record Au levels that we've seen at Havieron in some of the cores! ;-)
Hi Tiggerman
Not sure of the cost but it is a great piece of kit

How much do these Tru-Scan machines cost ???? I would have thought that both GGP and NCM ought to have three or four of them visiting sites and scanning. And particularly on prospects where every drill core seems to sparkle with some mineral content or other.
However , next Wednesday should be revealing , and hopefully get the SP moving on an upwards trajectory .
Patience .
Tig
Hopefully as you say thelearner, NCM are letting the GGP exploration team utilise TruScan for the Scally cores as any regional modelling helps both exploration teams in understanding and hopefully finding other' Havieron's floating around Havieron' or a new deposit through the Juri JV too :-)
NCM are espousing the 'cluster' theory from their General Exploration Manager Fraser's Diggers and Dealers presentation and I do think this has factored into their decision to quickly advance to Stage 2 in the Juri JV, John McIntyre's short podcast via the PR company about the Juri campaign also had some commentary in regards to understanding IRGS deposits better across two types of styles and finding the feeder systems, would be great to hear more from him too in future after further results.
The Assay results will be fascinating, but important to remember that The NC and GGP team will have access to the XRF True-Scan data from each core as it's retrieved.
This must be a fantastic tool to have for managing drilling campaigns - especially in exploration drilling. If you are doing JORC infill drilling - then you are quite confident about what you are drilling through. Exploration drilling getting this type of data as you drill would be a great help - so I think NC/GGP already know a lot more than they can say.
Don't know if the Juri cores are being taken to the Tru Scan units before lab for assays - would be sensible. Would also be great if GGP could do this with 100% tenement cores - but NC would have to agree to this.

Shorting - I deplore it - could not run a petition but would sign one.
Thanks Paddy, all important of course. I'm especially interested in the growth drill results, which should support the potential expansion of the existing Inferred Mineral Resource, especially if we don't get it published until January/February.
Great time to buy GGP - with these expected Hav results-and Juri assays arrive early Nov.- recent announcement of stage 2 JV seems to point to good results.
If you go to the results table at the end of the last report in September you can see the holes that have assays outstanding - I count 21 holes pending assays - these would have been completed at least 4/5 weeks before the September report was issued to there will be plenty more holes completed since then as well.
Here's the list of holes that are pending assays

So whatever way you look at it - there is going to be a lot of results coming in over the next 2/3 reports as the new Intertek lab gets up to speed and starts to make inroads into the backlog of cores.

Well, according to the last update on the 9th September, and the GGP RNS:
-- A further EIGHT GROWTH drill holes have been completed with samples awaiting assay, anticipated to be received and reported in the next update.
-- These holes are part of the ongoing Growth Drilling programme, targeting:
-- Northern Breccia: Zone of initial focus aimed at providing support for the potential expansion of the existing Inferred Mineral Resource.
-- Eastern Breccia: Drill testing and interpretation of the geological and mineralisation controls.
-- South East Crescent and Breccia: Ongoing targeting of potential resource definition below the existing resource shell and lateral extensions adjacent to the existing high-grade resource shell .
-- TEN INFILL holes have been completed in the South East Crescent, with samples awaiting assay, anticipated to be received and reported in the next update .
The September 2021 Quarterly Report from Newcrest Mining is expected next Thursday morning, 28th October in Australia.
