Tymers - I'm determined to keep asking and see if she'll at least have the courtesy to answer, however my more realistic side is telling me you're correct.
LL,
Apologies but I definitely said Bolly-swiller, not Bolly-spiller! :-)
Krug-swiller, or Krugswiller, has a rather nice ring to it, and looks like a perfectly valid German/Swiss/Austrian name, so I'll address you as Lauren Louise Krugswiller from now on.

Lost on trading at leverage a few times daily interest to pay as well.
Only good gamble was NVDA so keeping away from that type of gambling.

One thing for sure GGP will go up Monday it closed 21.50 on Hargreaves.
That’s the price that I thought was the closing price bought more.
So after buying from .04 I’m happy still to buy more.
My opinion will be bouncing around but will be more like 30p.
Hi l.l.
This is a risky short you have.
You were right about SXX, but you are wrong here
I wish I could afford more.
Gg18. Your better or asking your neighbours cat than louise
LaurenLouise - To what will it drop on Monday morning?
Hollimatronic
Taking a betting position , be it long or short on an account does have an affect on reality.
For example, if you took out a long contract on a CFD or spreadbet you could in effect buy £50,000 worth of GGP shares for a cost of only £10,000
Higher risk yes, but 4x the profit you would make if you just bought £10,000 of shares
So what do the companies do that offer the contracts to protect themselves against the profit you can make from them? Apart from the initial wider spread they will buy x GGP shares to hedge the position if the SP rises.
That does affect reality
Up or down will depend as ever on demand and supply for it.
If there is demand then it will be games , down then up.
If there is no demand there will be games to generate volume so down then up or up then down.
Hope I have made that clear. LOL
Enrico......i strongly object to you calling me a bolly-spiller....
I always drink Krug....
TBH I'm more interested in results than whether a fund bought in and had to pay at a premium.
£ 5.00 is possible. A short squeeze is a strong possibility and when
shorts have to buy and lose the lot and rot? Lucky Investors will get a lot.
Many of them were taken for a ride on AIM. This can be a most surprising
game when careless traders go down the drain.
Short Sellers cause chaos. They rob from investors and collect
investment at bargain price or hand it over to the Chinese who are
trying to take over the world. Boris encouraged rich foreigners to buy
and many of those flats are not occupied while many poor are homeless.
That is unacceptable. Boris ? Oh dear.
I imagine shorting is allowed because our astute leaders don't want us little people to better ourselves and want us locked into a lifetime of debt...
Mapp you adjust up as applicable or ok £5.00 . It's about stopping the borrowing of your shares by the low life
Do they pay you overtime on weekends laurenlouise? You really are a pain to listen to! Of course shorting as a practice is not unethical but it can be used for unethical purposes. Especially when the big funds like Pershing square just get into a war of attrition with another big hedge fund as a d*ick swinging exercise. Look at the Herbalife example. Billionaires shorting to prove a point to an enemy. It does absolutely distort markets!
Not sure what your agenda is here....apart to earn a few quid for your deramps but they won’t work so I suggest you jog on. And as we talk about unethical - being paid to spook PIs into selling and locking in losses On their hard earned cash in this current climate is pretty despicable!
Why sell at £1.00 when it can rise more.
I am not in a hurry to sell . Once sold it's gone.
The next investor will have fun. If investors hold for
GOLD and traders get it wrong and lose a lot. They go
through hell and rot. AIM is a game. Some investors gain and
many Muppet Traders go down the drain.
Great post Enrico and totally agree fella. Shorting is patently unethical and anyone who wants to defend it tells you everything you need to know about their character. Best MFU
Indeed. A lot of countries have banned it and to be honest more should. Half the chaos seen during March and the subsequent recovery wouldn't have happened around the world if no shorters.
They keep saying they provide liquidity... bull. Most shares have no problems of being bought or sold when there are no shorts open on them (only obscure AIM companies it can be hard to buy or sell as standard). I think if people want to bet against the market then they should be allowed, in a betting account where it has no effect on reality, but not by using shares of other people.
Good post TMT - agree with you (and Bully) that we are more likely to be joining GDX then dropping out of GDXJ.
Also agree with many informed views that the share price on Monday is largely irrelevant, unless of course you want to buy or sell on Monday.
We do know the share price will be up and down om a daily basis over the coming weeks but we should not panic (indeed for me a few dips are good), rather just watch the upward trend line as the various pieces of news drop in across the next few weeks.
Oh and there is no way I am setting a sell limit as low as £1 Tymers...
Tymers,
A pound? That's likely to be triggered soon! :-)
Suggest all holders if not already set £1.00 limit sell and lock in their stock
Laurenlouise,
How can selling something you don't own, in order to destroy the value for others, be ethical?
I'm not talking about GGP in particular (as it will defend itself very well), I'm talking about the havoc created in this world by greedy Bolly-swillers and similar low-life in general.
Everyone has their own moral compass, and I accept the fact that people have differing opinions.
Good luck tomorrow!

Shorters are wealth destruction thugs and
when they get it wrong there is no money left to go long.
A short burning fire is near. Oh dear.
LL long shift, where is your colleague Mr 9 Nails. Point is if the price drops most of us will still be here waiting for company news and if the price is stable or rises you will fade away.....waiting to be paid to disparage some other stock.
