Hydro,
Your 14:18 post is spot on. Two sons of a late friend were in banking and property development. The banker saw the crash coming and got out with several million and retired in his early fifties. He warned his brother what was coming who’s reply was, ‘don’t tell me how to run my business’. The crash when it came nearly ruined him’.
Holding now over 180k shares and feel the share has been consolidating for a little while now...
Fully funded with current ratio of around 6.50 ,RSI in the thirties and plenty of news are coming along from different platforms.....
Downwards pressure on sp is very limited so risks/rewards from here ticking favourably for the holders..
The trends from here only upwards and next target 30+p...
Solid share and safer than any gold player from this low sp..
Expansion, growth, increasing revenues and profits and it wouldn’t surprise me if M&A takes place here too....so from whatever strategy you have ..this one has all the cards at hands..
Just imo ..and as always dyor

@hydro.... Brilliant post, and just exactly what is required. ... And for the record there are quite a lot of us on here who also know who to listen to - and who not to listen to!.... No prizes for guessing into which category, what's his name falls lol
I was working in a remote area at the time. When I came home, I took a walk to my sister's housing estate and saw the economic activity as cash was thrown around, new cars on every drive, new kitchens and carpets being fitted. I saw the part-time school dinner lady and her layabout husband had bought a new house with 2 cars on the drive.
I fielded calls to my elderly mother from Banks etc offering to lend her money for improvements, holidays etc.
Just 10 years earlier, I had tried to get a £300 business overdraft for a new venture from Lloyds and was tossed out on my ear and told to come back when I had 2 years of audited accounts.
You didn't need to be anything special to see that things were going very wrong!
A mathematician, an accountant and an economist apply for the same job. The interviewer calls in the mathematician and asks: "What does two plus two equal?" The mathematician replies: "Four." The interviewer asks: "Four, exactly?" The mathematician looks at the interviewer incredulously and says: "Yes, four, exactly." Then the interviewer calls in the accountant and asks the same question. "What does two plus two equal?" The accountant says: "On average, four - give or take ten percent, but on average, four." Then the interviewer calls in the economist and poses the same question. "What does two plus two equal?" The economist gets up, locks the door, closes the shade, leans close to the interviewer and whispers: "What do you want it to equal?"
Did anyone else here actually live through the 2008 financial crisis?
If anyone looks back, as I did, before, during, and after the crisis, they'll see that 99.9% of economists/analysts were so wrong in their views, during the whole period, that a 5 year old, blindfold child, would have a better chance of forecasting the next month. let alone the next year, by attempting to pin the tail on a donkey!

Hi Viking/uptheladder. Unfortunately the owners at Roots hall are more focused on property deals than the status of our home team. ATB Speedy
@viking
lol don't think we will escape this time , hope the manage it but , it will be a monumental achievement if they do
Hi Better up. I am not sure what your argument is. In my view multi $trillions of bonds are making a loss yoy when looking at real rates, so buyers demand a higher return (interest) on their money, so the interest on bonds increase to create demand. Govs and corps around the world are so far in the debt hole that central banks will have to drive down the interest rates by buying bonds with currency that is unearned. Therefore more currency in circulation devaluing currency already in circulation. This is a catalyst for a higher POG and a higher GGP SP. I fail to see why you cannot see this clear fact. ATB Speedy
Floater. I will make a comment regarding investing you always looks at the positives and negatives ensuring you understand the risks rewards, this of course can change not just with company news but economic factors. Never ignore open debate its healthy and again the majority of investors only look for re assurance in their investment . Take the
Blinkers off
Bang on Floater, Disturbance is the key aim for BUTD, will do well to last on this forum the way he is going.
Viking
No, you had high hopes of just disrupting the board and sow negative doubt.
If you're invested then you'd look forward and try to be positive; if you're not invested then you're trying to focus on the negative to try to sway people on the board with your subtle deramp posts.
Your posting history shows that you have had problem posts in the past, no doubt the same as you're now trying here; so you were either temporary banned or subjected to admin measures to curtail your opinions.
I suggest to everyone to leave this thread closed here, otherwise he'll just keeping feeding off the posts.
Getting really tired of your attitude betterupthandown, are you the reincarnation of The Fools Gold.? Change the subject perhaps. With your moniker what do you think of the chances of Southend United escaping relegation?
Viking
It’s Sunday. I have better things to do. But you could start by looking at why would the fed raise rates and how would they pay for their debt at these higher rates? Presumably in your world by issuing more debt?? Bit like you getting another credit card to pay off your existing cc debt. The need to keep spinning an extra plate to keep the economy moving forward will end up with one or all plates come crashing down. It’s just a question of how many plates fall initially.
Betterupthandown, I completely disagree with your theory at 0936. I would argue the opposite.

If it goes up over 50% before 2 weeks until my pensions into my Sipp I will be so peed off!

I don't want to join in the speculation of how the markets, PoG, inflation, etc commentary; because in my opinion then it will be what it will be and I can't change that. The only thing I can only change is my investment strategy, to suit me.
Just to clarify my point of view; I'm not against balanced discussion with some negative facts about the economy, PoG, etc that are backed up by research, but if you are truly invested in this share then you have to remain positive and ride out the rough periods; otherwise whats the point of being invested if you only think the share is not going to do well, you're only contradicting your investment thinking - so IMO there is no room for direct GGP doom posts.
Hi floater
Happens every single time, without fail. Even when the ‘stellar’ results come out there will be posters saying ‘but’, ‘if’ and ‘why’, some of them being so called LTH’s.
Just part of the game I suppose and being here a while get used to it!
From what a lot saying across news, markets are going to become a bit hairy so POG will be interesting next few weeks/months but me being a simple man, and with the amount of money being magicked (that even a word?) out of thin air, then I’m in the camp of gold will be higher.
How high and how long it takes I have no clue, and neither do all the so called experts on the internet ( lots of differing views).
But I’ve always been extremely (maybe naively at first) confident that HAV will be THE best thing to ever happen to me and my family.
Here for a good while yet and excited to be part of , what will no doubt go down in exploration history, a monster find.
Patience all that’s needed, and I have plenty .

Morning HYD how’s gold and ggp going to fair iyo?
I don’t get people who are negative on this investment,
If you don’t believe in it, just sell and get out.
I’m sure most investors would only want to hear positive news, I know I do.
Thanks for the caring thoughts that you are trying to help us not lose money with you wisdom. Such generosity for people you don’t even know.
Thanks but no thanks.
Positive posts only please.
Spy - The doom spreader is already in this thread which has the context for them to continue with their agenda started yesterday. There's always a wolf in sheep's clothing when they subtly comment "Unfortunately this means that stocks like GGP will not be the beneficiary".
We will probably see more subtle doubt spreading posts from Betterdisruptthem over the next few days in the run up to the results on Wednesday Night, so let's all try not to encourage him/her, please.
Hydro. The entire world knew Biden and his sidekick were going to drop this money sooner rather than later.. Imagine being called the president that bankrupted America.
The turnaround is coming. All this scaremongering is a desperate last effort to do what exactly... We bounced on the bottom all month, still had good news and due more news short term.
Let's watch it unfold and see how many NEW doom spreaders are around when we start to rise... Their game is almost over now.
It went through 51 - 49. Goes back Tuesday for final stamp.
We are due news this week, so all looking good (better than the last month anyway)
Sounds as though the Fed will have to step in at some point and cap Yield, somewhere sub 3%. If yield goes above 3% then the interest on the debt exceeds what the US governement charges in taxes per year, which technically makes them insolvent.
Once Yields begin to drop, should be the kick start for the next Gold & Silver rally
