Lowest buy in 0.74, average across SIPP and ISA 3 ish. Currently holding 4.5M shares brought allot more in early days and sold some then brought some more. Like a kid in a candy shop awaiting Paddys drill updates. LOVE GGP will be sad when its time to sell up and retire :)
Last word on this as I appreciate I've taken a lot of your time on it but so much appreciation for the contribution. DAMN I FEEL BETTER!!!!:-)
Lenz....so say all of us. Hoping so!
Dodge, thank you and I isncerely hope you are right! Hydrogen, thank you also for sharing with all the ups and downs included. You are definitely not alone there! I too have added along the way, due mainly to my own research but above all of that Paddy et als more in-depth and cerebral research added to the mainly good vibes on this board. Cheers to us! Good luck to all.
I live in Leicestershire and Next PLC (based in Leicester) are estimated to have been responsible for making in excess of 1,000 local millionaires since floatation. I know a couple of guys who bought in at circa 36p back in the 80’s, eventually cashing their chips at circa £60 per share. Staggering. I have a feeling that GGP will be responsible for many more across the UK in the coming years.
A lot of people on this board and a lot not on here will become millionaires because of GGP .. if it gets to where we all expect and hope, a lot already are and good luck to us all !
Hell fire Knocky!!! Well done you!!that's a phenomenal amount and at a great average. Thank you for sharing and yes I am overwhelmed with all the support one gets on this board. I've watched it for a while but only recently joined in. Glad I did! All luck to you and the others who believe in GGP.
Well Panama, you certainly got some answers to your request. It does just go to show that everyone is different. I sold a few at 5 and 7, but bought back a lot more when it dropped back to 3.6. I have said before that this share frightens the life out of me more than any I have known before. I now hold many millions at about 1.6 average, and keep thinking maybe sell a million or two and have the rest for free. But it always looks as if something good is on the near horizon. It would be the end of the world for me if this failed now, as I have broken every rule in the book and it makes 85% of my pension, SIPP and trading. Very nervous times for me, but it is in my hands as to what I| do about it.
Good luck. Knocky.
Hahaha! Love your posts mushroom and looking forward to celebrating on the River with our 'near 'millionnaire-ship in tow or maybe over that threshold if all turns to gold!! I was a millionnaire once but too trusting and too honest for my own good and managed to get it stolen away(so maybe a tad stupid too!). Here's to recouping the losses!
Thx MF11! Blimey at £2.50 all of the beers AND the donuts are on me and Tigg put his wallet away!!! Yes GGP is sooooo damn addictive. I agree. ATB
I have a very similar holding panama. I found some cash under the kitchen sink and bought up to 1.3 m shares. I realise that if this does reach 75p per share and I almost become a millionaire, there will already be a number of multi millionaires on here on the strength of GGP alone. I don't begrudge them their fortune. For me it will be fantastic but I never forget the words my father once said to me:
"Mushroom", he said, (not really because he knew my real name) "Mushroom, I knew when you were growing up that you would never become a millionaire" "Oh thanks dad", I answered somewhat crestfallen. "Don't feel dejected", he added, "I meant this in a positive way. All you have ever needed was a pair of shorts and sandals and a fishing rod and you are happy."
Dad's eh! :)
Thx Lambo, we are fairly close in terms of numbers though your average better! Brilliant and 60p would be amazing! All is crossed!!
And will certainly buying more before I sell any,.
When's my next pay day!
Hi Panama,
managed to get up to 2.4m, ave of over 6 as I was late to the party, buying GGP is so addictive. Anyway I am waiting for £2.50 then might sell a few.
Well here's hoping anyway.
People might find "The Art of Execution" by Lee Freeman-Shor interesting. It identifies a number of trading strategies, some of which work better than others!
Hi Panama, I hold 1.3m with an average of around 4p and having dicked around and got stung in other shares such as SXX and FUM this is my sole investment. I have no intention of top slicing; I’m just now back in the black again and while taking some profit is tempting I’m holding out for the MRE and to see what GGP do with their remaining 30% once NCM have fulfilled their JV obligations. 60p is my target but I’ll be keeping a close eye on what the GGP directors do with their shares.
All the best everyone!
Thx Greenmile! ATB and here's to extra jam!
tHX MFU and yes I feel blessed. It has been a tough journey of late personally so hoping to have turned that corner (with GGP's help!)
same here
just under 2mill shares
my target is 20p and il leave 25% in for the final story
Your welcome Panama. 1.25m is a very considerable sum don't do yourself down! Thats around £145k wow -look at what you have made this year-it would take more than a lifetime to earn that in a Building Society account unless interest rates get back to 5-10% lol . Good luck fella. MFU
Brilliant SaS and good to know. Yes Warren Buffet has a point and in this case it would be right.Good strategy and lets hope your remaining 2m bear a ton of extra fruit with which to make jam:-) ATB
Hi Panama, I first bought in here at the top of the SP on the day that Newcrest entered into the JV with GGP. I went in balls deep with a £95k @ 2.25p and was imeadiately down 20% at the COB that day. I just bought more here after the dip in SP and currently hold a few million golden tickets. Not once have I top sliced, as Warren Buffet once said, "Let the good ones run" so I am doing exactly that. I've set a target of 34p before I decide to cash in my chips, but will leave a couple of million in just in case this goes stupidly crazy.
ATB in your decisions
sAs
Thanks Cristophe, I am hoping to hold my nerve and hold tight of them all now. It's just my average has escalated from the original 1.97 up to 5 but I have more now so all good!
Thanks MFU . Very decent of you to be so open and I understand why you did in those circumstances! 2m is still a decent sum and wishing you luck with the outcomes and all of us too! I only hold 1.25m ish but it would still be incredibly helpful financially if this all pays off in the end plus the journey is exciting!
Hi Panama yes I have trimmed a couple of times the reason being two fold. Firstly as I have mentioned earlier in the year I over committed to another aim share last year(EQT) which is an investment from the heart and it took over the head and instead of being ruthless and selling at the higher end I left it and left it until it collapsed. It is slowly coming back to life but not after some sleepless nights. GGP has been the saviour and not only made up the deficit but handsomely in profit as I hold over 2m GGP shares from 2018/19. So I was once bitten twice shy. This is entirely different however on a couple of occasions I have sliced 200k as at one point I had close to 3m. It becomes a lot of money to protect. But enough in the game to still enjoy what surely lies ahead however with the comfort of a far healthier cash float in my SIPP. Hope this helps MFU
