Alarm bells because SD hasn’t bought a huge wedge?
It’s his job to be building the business and adding shareholder value. No need for him buy in directly.
He may well end up with a holding anyway through options / share awards as part of remuneration if he delivers.
Some here were calling for him to buy like GH as the price dropped “to install some confidence”. That’s not how it works, he isn’t here to be trying to fight the SP silliness. He’s here to grown the fundamentals of the business which will eventually drive the SP to its true value.
I understand the desire to have BODs invested on AiM as it stops shareholders getting rinsed by boards who just raise and raise at the expense of shareholders. Skin in the game keeps them on track.
However GGP is a lot different to other AIM companies, it’s well ahead in that front so don’t see the mad rush for him to buy in.
Cheers OilMonkey. Good to know and should build some sort of sentiment.
HI Shank,
We are expecting an interim exploration update on +/- the 10th March. If you look at the NCM investor centre web page it isn't a date that is penned in like the quarterly updates, however throughout last 2020 there were regular interim updates between the quarterlies and March 10th, there or thereabouts ties in with when they will be released.
Didn't know anything was due in 12days? Re Haveiron? Is this via Newcrest? Good if news flow is to keep trickling in.
Alarm bells because a new CEO who has been in the position for 2/3 weeks, hasn't piled in and bought shares

Agree Jaguar - odd
Perhaps it’s a trigger in the world of DYOR that in combination or even solely might justify someone’s decision to sell. Of course, the act or thought of acting is played out on the bb.
Conversely, a director buy has proven to be the trigger even solely for folk to buy or add, people even post their trade in this event.
It’s ebb and flow and very difficult if not impossible to establish and understand motive, hence the contradiction in views and spats. Acceptable, in my opinion, for reasonably frequent posters to argue but total nonsense for the one post wonders.
I’m holding tight for operational progress whether SD decides to buy or not.

Alarm bells because a new CEO who has been in the position for 2/3 weeks, hasn't piled in and bought shares in the company .. give me a break ! There are a multitude of reasons why ( if he hasn't already ) he hasn't bought any, none that I would be worried about !
Expected news will preclude from a purchase.
SD has some 500000 options at 25p he obviously expects these to be in the money in the next 2 years.
Give the guy a? Break let him get on with the job and updates will come.
Next drilling report on Haverion in about 12 Days.
Await the start or a rise.
Go for gold and sit on hands. Mine are glued down
Chris
Jerry hi
Yes that is possible, hope that is the case. Let’s see what happens across the next few weeks.

RC, maybe he is waiting to sell any shares he had in previous company? He may be restricted on those shares for various reasons. I am sure he will align himself with those lth on here and elsewhere shortly. He will need to move fairly quickly though as there will be a lot of news coming up that will preclude him from buying.
Hi DGR
He has had a few months to be able to sort it in truth - he's known he is coming. We just see this one differently which is fine but it is ringing alarm bells for me.
I hope I am wrong. Personally I am going to give him 3 months in role and make my call then.

Was not a problem for GH!
RC - my point was more hes unlikely to have 100k sitting around as cash. Why should he have to sell other investments to be able to buy in now? He could well have tax implications from it.
Hi DGR
Just commenting that if the outgoing CEO does so it is strange for the incoming not to as well IMO. It is relatively regular practice for a new CEO to do this and the market likes CEOs to have skin in the game. £110k is not that much for a CEO of a billion pound company. Many people on this board have invested considerably more than that.
Just my opinion, you evidently disagree which is fine.

Yes, let him get on with his job and let him build up his shares in his own time. I can't wait to see where he is going to take GGP in the next few years.
Dillon - Plus people won't be happy unless he buys 500,000 shares like GH. Let's be honest who has £120,000 just sitting around doing nothing. He's likely to have it invested elsewhere
DRH, i agree. I'm sure he will but in his own time and Luke you I don't see the rush. I wonder if he cashed in when he left his last post. Anyone know? GLA
What is he obsession with SD having to immediately buy a big wedge of shares?
Hes just over 2 weeks into the job and has already turned around two RNS. Hes busy enough at the moment
Apologies if I am being slow but I believe this is old news? Relates to this RNS I believe https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/greatland_gold/news/rns/story/rg47nvr
As per the previous comment by MrNegative, I would also have expected SD to have made a significant purchase at market rate. I may have missed this if he has? If not it would send a decent message to the market.
The strange thing is I've added more than GH over the last 4 weeks I must know something? or Mad you decide
Well spotted Sojourner! But blimey, I saw insider buying then saw what I thought said written by 'Robert Heddle' !! Talk about insider peddling I thought .Lol.
Good back up news to GH's always timely shareholder back up.

ps in case of doubt- the journo's name is Robert Hable :-)
That should put a bit of a smile on your face Tom.
