I hadn’t twigged till today re reading that announcement why the reserve figure was not included in the last RNS.
The difference between the Jorc reports and the SK1300 that NEM use is a lot stricter with the SK1300. This limits what can be reported.
The PFS does not come up to the SK1300 reporting standards on one point. The contingencies used were 20%, the reporting has a maximum of 15%, so technically NEM can’t accept the PFS. This also affects the reserve reporting, so the reserves were not reported last time.
Ggp have published on that announcement what they would be under SK1300.
What effect has this on the sale price of the 70% NEM own. It should come a lot cheaper 🙂
I have just realised I missed out an important potential leveraging factor - the JORC resource - if added to then an obvious positive.
I think it will be interesting to see whether jurisdictions come into the equation- with Australia being in the top tier of favourable mining countries that could carry a value premium to less stable countries.

Indeed! Good old predictive text! AUD29 BILLION!
AUD 29 billion TT but we all appreciate and know what you mean. GL.
The recent gold webinar I posted about is excellent viewing to understand the various economic and political drivers behind a bull market in gold. If there is a rampant gold bull market, similar to ones prior like 1977-1980, then making price predictions on any gold mining stock is difficult. Least of all GGP which has a whole manner of other scenario's to contend with, not least who owns Havieron/Telfer or the possibility of takeovers as we often see in the mining sector.
We have all seen other sectors make extraordinary price gains, reaching astronomical valuations. Companies being bought at record high prices, high p/e ratio's and story stocks going on huge price runs. What this shows is if there is enough appetite and enough liquidity entering the market, stocks can run up way past their valuations. Personally, I think gold and other precious metals will have their turn soon. The most important thing is to have a clear plan for taking profits and managing risk. Do that, and those involved can walk away much wealthier than when they started.
Oh! BTW, not forgetting, of course, Justin Mathew, our new Principal, Corporate Development, who advised Newmont Corp. on the recent AUD29 million acquisition of Newcrest Mining!
I can't think of a company, anywhere in the gold mining industry, anywhere in the world, with a more impressive BOD, to be handling the current situation.
In addition to Shaun Day, we have a highly experienced investment banker, who is also a member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia.
We have the former CEO and Managing Director of Fortescue, the world’s fourth largest iron ore producer.
We have the past President of the iron ore, energy coal and stainless steel materials divisions of BHP.
We have a Chartered Accountant with many years’ experience in investment banking encompassing flotations, takeovers, and mergers and acquisitions for private and quoted companies.
We have a lawyer with significant experience as a non-executive director across a diverse range of industries with a particular focus on natural resources and over 20 years of experience working with ASX-listed companies.
The list goes on....
Suggest anyone wanting to independently understand where GGP share price could get to in the next 2 to 3 years, first google the value gap between gold and miners. Just look at how far miners have to catch up.
Then factor in we are not even miners yet so we are going to rise with the Lassonde curve and ride the turbo boost of the gap closing between POG and miners at the same time.
Then factor in your estimate for the POG in say 2 years.
Once you start to add leverage onto leverage onto leverage that is where the multibagging potential becomes clear.
I’m not going to put a number on it - you can do that for yourselves.

Ace, it’s like famous Irish comic used to say, “It’s the way I tell em” 😂
You have a way with words spade.
All this talk about ramps makes me think about the biggest ramp of all. For the last three years it’s been called a decline, but once it reaches the top of the orebody, then it becomes a Ramp to riches.
Our SP has been tracking the decline since it started, so once completed, just like those trucks down there, they will have to turn about face and start to climb back to the top, as will our SP.
Speedy - I would not place too much stock in someone who does a calculation suggesting you can get 2 aussie peanatas for a pound.
POG 2500+ Re-rate on sentiment BOOM 2/1 $/£ BOOM 100% HAV BOOM; one for all the rampers 😁
Quote the big guy - "we are investing in the drill bit"
Hit at any time Ben - BOOM; keep smilin 😁 who knows what we will all wake up to Monday morning.
£6 eh Speedy?
I’m sure we all hope you’re right, but we’ll need to be very, very patient.
Mining stock is a slow burn but can jump occasionally. All the stars will need to align for the sort of price you predict. 🙏 you’re right but frankly my sights are set considerably lower.
But All the best for sure.
I continue to hold. I still don’t know why Newmont withdrew. I still don’t know when we will turn from cash guzzler to cash generator. Production was due to start in Q3 2024. When the cash starts to roll in our sp will re-rate. For now I just sit and wait for news. GLA
Be nice to see the sp return to double figures, most Lth’s certainly wouldn’t sell at 20p though, screw that!
Truth is no one knows where the sp will be next month or in a years time, that £5 figure wasn’t a ramp just an answer to my question, I understand the logic behind it speedy especially with all the interviews I’ve watched… I mean literally this morning I saw Rick rule mention some juniors having the possibility of a 3000% rise! So you just never know
All shareholders would be very happy to see the return of 20p a share… hopefully this year…
Hi MH. I see GGP as an extremely good bet for a massive rise even without a re rate in the POG. Taking into consideration our position on the L. C. our exceptional BODs, the currently suppressed SP, a high grade ore body with a great shape for mining, Telfer just down the road, the present POG and rising, funding in place, production looming, mining friendly jurisdiction, the list goes on and on. 20p is a low ball prediction on production and i expect a higher SP. Also at the moment, the miners are deeply unloved but that sentiment will change giving GGP a further boost. No ramping here just good old facts. ATB Speedy
Easy to write a SP target/range on a page. Our reality will be in the context of the sector as a whole we are in. If all gold companies rise 10 fold in value then yes GGP should too. We need to start pulling out gold and copper though. Money flows to the top of the sector, those with earnings and profits
Hi MH. You still do not get it do you. This is all about a massive re rate in the POG. I will spell it out for you one last time. If the POG re rates x5 and with the leverage for producers x10 even with a lowball price of 20p that would be £2 for the SP. If we manage to acquire 100% of Hav with no dilution then a fig of 60p is not out of the question therefore a re rated SP to £6 is possible. This is meant to be an exercise in potential, not as you state "a ramp" ATB Speedy
Evening All I hope you are all well!
Let’s have a look at the scenario’s
Tasmania didn’t suit us, so we offloaded it! Could have been a good or bad we will find out later.
But at this time in Shaun’s view it’s of no use to us!
HAV/ Telfer is the same for Newmont, so if we can get a steal on this, then the sp can go anywhere!
Who knows what is out there and what has yet to reveal itself, elephant country they say!
So get ready, we know what we have ish, we know there is risk, we also know there could be a hell of a lot more!
All the best Ben 🦘
5 or 10 bagging from 6pence will be quite the re-rate…. no?
That is 30p to 60p.
Hi MH. My last post is also directed at you, my post is about the potential for the SP with a re rate in the POG. ATB Speedy
If we buy both Telfer plus all of Hav, wonder where our valuation will fall
