Kevin the question was re-mining that will be at least 2 years down the line by then they will have the exrta 5% , its ok to say we have the 50 million but the question was about when we are actually mining , so funds will be needed at some stage its just how they go about raising it
Freddie at least be accurate if you challenge. Newcrest do not own 75%. They will only do so if they BUY 5% at fair market value. This is critical value and cash for GGP
Fun shocking reply ! Is it a dumb question though , newcrest only own 75% , they will expect ggp to pay their way at some stage its not a free ride
Shaun Day on the 9th September:
"The PFS is due out in the second half of the year and that's really well advanced. Again, when we've talked to the market about this, it's based on a point of time. It's based on where that..the cut off for drilling was around 1st March this year, so all of the drilling you've seen for the last 6 months is upside on top of what's been captured in the study and really it's going to be a segment of that...It's really focussed on the fast start."
NCM Board have just allocated a couple hundred million (and change) to tweak Telfer to avoid interruption in getting it out the ground.
Watch out for the sharks folks, they're circling asking dumb questions and trying to sew doubt.
All the best and GLA.
Fun.
PFS for mid-Oct
MRE for mid-Dec
But what will be the drilling cut-off points for each event?
End-March and end-Sept respectively perhaps?
The great thing is that the second MRE will probably include some drilling up to this October and could include the ‘remarkable’ results so far. So a nice big uplift in the MRE which will lead to the brokers having that as their base case and some blue sky numbers of much much more. I am going for 10-12 at MRE and brokers talking 15-20 soon after that. But that is only the start….
SD says at 10 mins 15 seconds that the Havieron PFS will be later this year... No mention of September as when he said about PFS's at the end of the month he was talking about Red Chris an Lahir.
PFS at Havieron probably late October / November earliest.
Chester.
A seminal moment for all, no doubt. Because we think the outcome is already decided, the PFS should be a very welcome result. I'm hoping it is the next piece in the picture for the markets to latch onto. I'm hoping for a 10% rise in the so from the PFS alone
We're all on the same side so a few weeks either way ....matters not. It's coming before Christmas along with so much more.
Let's just enjoy the countdown.

I think it’s the word ‘remarkable’ that gets me excited. I don’t imagine many miner CEO’s use that word very often in investor meetings
Indeed Kevin, and Shaun Day also stated some weeks ago that, "the initial estimate is very much initial". Take into account the fantastic results since then, including growth assays, and we can expect something very different in the JORC update in early December.
watch the webinar. He spells things out
Crikey what a question. NCM will take it out of the ground and are massively cash rich!!
how is their bank, and do they need money to get the goods out of the ground?
My take is that this was the key message from Sandeep, quoted here verbatim
He said today that “mineralisation remains open in multiple directions outside of our initial inferred resource estimates” and “we have seen REMARKABLE drill results from below the resource boundary” - ie in addition to what will be in the PFS and what was in the MRE
21st of Jan was start of the box cut - so could be as soon as 14 months away (for 2 years) piew piew piew
and me
It stuck for me too but I just clicked slightly further along the timeline and all okay from then on.
Just watched about 10 minutes in PFS due later this year but earlier in the video a mention of Sept release so still not sure. Anyway it don't matter really when it is, this year we will get it eventually if you are a believer and LTH it shouldn't really matter. GLA
Its been tried a few times before with no interest from HL.
I always put it down to the fact that they do not want to tread on IG (you can trade Australia for £3 a shot on IG) toes who they use for processing HL clients Shorts/CFD's etc rather than get their hands dirty themselves. Part of a trade off? I wonder.
I agree in recent times HL have been going downwards and not really on the game despite the new clients etc as a result of covid lockdowns and piffling interest rates.. They may learn the hard way.
Yup, thanks la. Cadia is due this month, but that's why I'm glad he cleared that up about Havieron.
LA - that's correct but it looked like he was reading a script when he said later this month for both PFS's
Just to be clear further down the interview Sandeep repeats 2H 2021 for Havieron PFS - not September
From past presentations they have already told us when they reach the orebody they will retrieve sample ore to test at Telfer.
When they bring the roadheader in expect a fast advancement in the Decline progress.
Sample ore could mean anything but I don’t expect them to stop excavating when they start.
I’ve been told they may need 10,000 ton for sampling.
Next Summer still looks a possibility for sample extraction.
Sandeep needs to get shot of that beard, can't tell if he's smiling or not.
