No problem Antigua. I know they do play their games when a big order is about but they play them against each other just as much. That’s why there can be extreme movements either way just like SXX yesterday when it crashed, MM s dropping their bids against each other.
Unlikely to happen with GGP as we have so many shares in issue but have seen Company share prices explode when there is big demand for shares that are scarce. MM s borrowing to meet demand and lenders drying up.

Plappers is out of touch. Take care.
Plappers you have your fingers crossed for it you mean ;)
Not worth trading for a few quid when you consider the massive upside available. Newcrest focussed on Havieron now is it worth being out.
Decent trading pattern today am expecting more next few weeks imho
Would be nice to be sitting here in 24 hours without an all too predictable -4.68% drop following a good day today. I suspect we’ll be back at 1.75 by the weekend.
Ok Jambo, I stand corrected.
Ps the other way is to de-register.
I worked in Market Makers
I am correct Antigua, apart from it being impossible for anyone to have bought Unsold stock ie if it’s not sold ?? Market Makers are obliged to always give a 2 way quote once registered to be a MM In a specific share. They cannot refuse a trade in the size and prices they quote on systems. The only way they would avoid taking on stock when a stock SP is crashing is to make sure their bid is lower than the other market makers. Reverse all that when investors are falling over each other to buy a stake in a company. Hopefully we will see this one day soon in GGP
Jambo, I don’t think that’s correct. You are basically saying that mm’s would be left buying up all unsold stock.
Mm’s will keep some stock for liquidity but would not take a large position that would leave them totally exposed.
Spades, need to correct you. There does not need to be a buyer for every seller in the context of PI or institutional investors.
The purpose of the MM s is to maintain a market in a stock. Who do you think is the buyer when a stock crashes and investors are offloading with no buyers around. Answer is the MM s . They ultimately carry the risk and it’s a big big factor in their pricing.
Everyone knows that the figures are cooked to suit the MM`s objectives. They will manipulate the buy & sell price to suit their own agenda, especially if they have a large sell / order in the background. 41.5m Bought against 41.5m Sold. For every buyer there has to be a seller, Simples
Mytton that's why I said it's bull****.
jd - but the bought v sold figures are misleading , my top up shown as a sell. suppose the overall volume figure is accurate
JD thanks - 83m shares traded not bad.
57m sold v 26m bought
Utter bull**** though
So no 2p today - would someone post today's volume thanks.
Good day today
My 3am alarm isn't too bad.
Just done some work emails now back to the bar.
Bit early but hey **** it
JD there is always a handful of trades that get mis- reported but not to that extent and just as much as sells reported as buys for that matter so more or less cancel each other out.
All the way up to 2p
Hold strong guys we got 30% of a massive gold mine imo plus BH , FT , Panorama, Scally, PER, etc
41m advertised as sold.
Alot of bull**** there
Classic behaviour. MMs buy 41m sold 18m now taking Sp back pre lunch to give the day traders a choice to sell out with modest profit Some will. Chances the SP then is taken up again this afternoon. They are not collecting shares for no reason.
We shouldn’t really be under 2p now anyway.
PUD.
