‘it was him that pushed Havieron into full acceleration not Your messiah SD’ - Daveri007, correct but also let’s not forget that the reason for ‘full acceleration’ was to prevent the substantial decommissioning costs of Telfer which was becoming nearly uneconomic. The Hav deal must have been manna from heaven for SB.
Regards
CF
If 20mz was to be proven that will take years, which we still only own 30% currently. In the short to medium SD must have been able to raise funds without diluting shareholders maybe based on 6.5mz that has already been proven as no financing would come without proven studies. He wouldn't have been able to offer the 85m if not. FS in December takes us to the next step and he must be pretty happy with finances exploring the other tenements that we own 100%
Lets get serious - raise a couple of bill, buy back hav, take over telfer (lock stock & barrel - inc employees, town) and wave goodbye to Mr Biswas & co (Will give them some cash to go play elsewhere) as they ride over the sunset; pilbara sunsets are some of the best in the world. Dare to dream folks - how to build GGP into a very valuable mining co in one fowl swoop.
Anyway, bailing out now before the haters turn up after their afternoon of cheap lager fuelled attacks !
@rosso - suggest you knowledge up on “discounted cash flow” - pretty sure Sandeep (a pro ceo on 6m a year) understands this! Stop making yourself look silly!
Sprott no doubt will be sniffing around - hope SD refrains such approaches
Not so long ago most here was praising Sandeep - now because the tide has changed you go against him - don’t you understand the geology - he believes on the advice from his geologists they can spend 60m usd on exploration to gain another Havieron- his shareholders are not looking 15 years down the road - give the man a break - it was him that pushed Havieron into full acceleration not Your messiah SD
20m oz at £1k per oz margin means Hav is going to generate $20bn profit over time. 5% of this is a cool one billion dollar gain. And SB is saying it is not worth shelling out $60m. A 16x return doesn't meet his hurdle. This is madness.
My favourite of Shauns from May.
“We've got these cash costs sitting around $645 an ounce USD against a price circa $1850. You'remaking well in excess of $1,000 an ounce. So, you bring these ounces in, no additional CAPEX, it just falls to the bottom line, it just falls to cash generation and that drives up this Net Present Value (NPV) very quickly.
- So, what I'm kind of trying to explain there with this CAGR, if you look at where we started with this ore body and you look at the various price discovery points, you just see this phenomenal growth rate and that's exactly what you would expect with a world class ore body.
I can't stress how important this factor is going forwards! “
To Shaun Day. I am not on Twitter but I have read the comments replying to your tweet re 30%. You should know that its a big thumbs up and thank you from me and many other genuine shareholders. Mremc2
Couldn’t agree more TT. Things have never looked better.
Well, I think we all know that another 'strike' at one of our tenements, especially 100% owned, would immediately be transformational for the sp! As Shaun Day has said, many times, it doesn't even need to be anything like Havieron, it could be a fraction of Havieron (which, let's not forget, is probably one of the largest mother lode(s) in a generation, or more!).
What's more, the probability of such a 'strike' has been steadily increasing over the past couple of years, especially in the Paterson, with other very positive news from some of the 'neighbours'!
So, what I'm saying, as I've said for some time now, if you snooze you lose!
It's your choice, but, IMHO, this is a keeper, with no doubt in my mind, whatsoever!
Big gambles paying off - first GH and CB drill deeper and now SD GGP MRE2. We are on a winning streak; what's next!

Doggy, Shaun won several euro lotteries today not just one.
Let’s just look at this decision not to purchase the 5% in layman’s terms.
It’s been eluded to that 20M oz’s is not out of the question.
My own opinion is that is a minimum.
Based on 20M oz’s, NCM decision not to proceed with the 5% purchase has in effect given GGP all the funding it should ever need, instead of the paltry sum of $60M.
5% of 20M oz is 1M oz.
1M oz x $1000 per oz profit = $1B
Now I know it’s gonna take a few years to dig out 20M oz’s, but the way I see it is, say the POG goes to $2500 per oz over the next few years, then whatever the cost to fund our share of the mine will be, the 5% pays for the lot for the next 50 years and still have change.
And to think 20 hours ago, we might of only got $60M for it, I along with SD couldn’t be happier.
No wonder out of 52 recommendations in the latest Sprott note, 51 recommended BUY.
Go figure.
Shaun Day looked like he won the Euro Millions lottery this morning on that interview
Why on earth would anyone we even slightly worried about the outcome here
Load up sit back and watch
