Hey Rangor - I took some profits here yesterday and pumped them into CWR where, fortuitously, the drop has taken it below 500. Bit of a race developing . Happy Days all round.
I just lobbed this onto the CWR board, will continue the topic there if it warrants:
Events this week may trigger a spell of consolidation for the sp if it falls out of the rising trend (orange) that it has enjoyed since mid-March. https://invst.ly/rh55x
Not necessarily a bad thing but the price does seem to be at a decision point: pull back to 520 or regain 590.
"good luck with it."
likewise Boyo.
I don't think you'll be disappointed long-term Rangor. This week's placing by Berenberg certainly shook the tree and, mixing metaphors, knocked the froth off the sp, which may take a while to get back into its stride - quite possibly at a more subdued pace. Worth remembering that IP disposed of 12.5m shares around 2 months ago (with a lock-up period of 90 days) and that this week's was an apparently smaller tranche of 9.1m but had a bigger % effect on the sp. They are reportedly almost out now with just 0.2% . I guess it could have been anticipated by anyone watching it closely - smart move selling the rest before the 90 days?? I'm guessing the price might move sideways or even soften until that period is well out of the way. If I start to seriously accumulate/trade it then I'll go on the CWR board (will flag it here) . Good luck with it.
Bought back in at just under 580 today. Might have been a bit premature.
Only small amounts so far, but plan to slowly buy more over time as it could be a good long term er
Cheers bunks - but I realise it's a thin line.
For what it's worth
For why its worth, i'm very happy with you two conversing about cwr on here btw
O/T Rangor: If CWR drops below 560 could get interesting: https://invst.ly/rgrtb. Might need to move this convo to CWR.
Glad you got back in at a price you're happy with. I was out today and missed it. My limit buy point was just below the lowest point the SP reached today. Annoying.
Will see what happens tomorrow.
O/T Re CWR:
Hopefully you got a good opportunity today Rangor, with the secondary placing arranged for IP Group.by Berenberg. That support line at 580 was a good guide as far as the subsequent price action has been, with today's bottom only briefly touching 557. I was happy to re-stock at 576 - my net cost per share over less than two months is just 3.84 so I'm well happy to be 54% up and still 'in' for the next phase.
Thanks both.
I'll continue keeping an eye on CWR. Thanks for the chart. I'll think adjust my buy back price as I think it was a bit too optimistic at 500.
O/T CWR needs a close watch, Rangor.
I've traded it and sold my final tranche today. Very pleased, even if it continues to rocket - although things very very rarely go in a straight line. I'd be progressively tempted back in at any level that doesn't erode my gains to date - and the chart gives a range of possibilities at support and trend levels. I had been anticipating adding near the lower green around 530 but looks like it might not drop below the 580 support. https://invst.ly/re3k-
Bizarre market currently though - CWR and G have been somewhat against the market - I guess both may drop if the wider market strengthens.
“Sharesoc” Or any analyst ,brokerages recommendations are all to take with a big pinch of salt ...
Only listen to Warren Buffett speeches and read his quotes....and follow them to the letters ....
I noticed once you deviate from him ..you would more likely end in a loss!!
Just imo
Well done Rangor..
Sold all my CWR..
Happy day at my EUA back from suspension!
Genl and Gkp look very interesting and something is going on behind the scenes g...perhaps more at Gkp...
GL
Hopenno one minds the off topic posts! Bit quiet here at the moment so thought I'd add a couple questions.
CWR has been really motoring up recently. Sold a few at 600 but seeing what's happening today I wish I'd kept them.
Anyone got any thoughts on whether it will pull back and to where? I'm looking at you chart guru Boyo.
Hasiba and hydrogen are you both still in CWR?
