Yep - I pretty much agree with your comments Leem.
The only thing I would say about GKP is that they do have a difference with G regarding the type of oil they produce - lower priced and perhaps in less demand within the Mediterranean market. G also has the advantage of simplicity compared to 'big oil' - there are multiple reasons for the pressure on Shell - not least issues concerning their NAM JV with ExxonMobil. Ultimately, they all have their problems and I'm certainly not recommending any in particular right now. ATB
In addition and it has been mentioned by a few- big oil seems like better value if you want oil exposure but expect risk/reward to be greater with Genel
Haha close boyo! presume overall market sentiment will drive Genel Up or down from here. Genel much stronger than most Oiler’s and still do not understand why. The payment uncertainty was not encouraging to me and I don’t think Genel is worth 50% more than GKP which shares the same problems. Believe it will get ironed out eventually but that missing revenue as well as oil at this level and dodgy payments doesn’t make a compelling investment at around 138p for me. Things where far better and it was around 170-180 before all this as well as better prospects in the mix- all of which have been delayed other than Sarta. As we have seen to my amazement the price can and did rise recently for reasons I do not understand so it’s anyone’s guess what happens
Well it looks like the ‘end of day auction’ and UT robbed Leem at the wire. Sorry mate. In terms of market sentiment, G could be heading back into ‘bargain’ rather than “BSD’ territory - and Leem was reading that better than the rest of us. I was surprised to see it dropping below 137: https://invst.ly/rt5jp That’s not a good sign, so let’s hope OP perks up a bit next week as there’s not much hay-making time left before winter.
Oh, and you lot suck at Friday club

The horses all seem to be bunched together, could be exciting coming down the home straight on Friday. Thanks for the Divi information, that's useful to know.
Off Topic - but I have been reading the LLOY share chat, and OMG so much bickering and ramping/trading talk. I've never put anyone on filter here, but on LLOY my list is about a dozen and currently the top 40 entries are filtered, and from 100 only 10 were of substance. Which is a long way round of saying thanks for all the sense and info that I get from here. I'm a bit lighter in G than I have been for a while, but I'm still here for the long hall, and will be back when we have Covid and Brexit out the way
forgot all about FC ..... very unbunkslike

I’ll go for 135, could be way off the mark but with gkp at 93p (no you can’t compare as Genel is superior) shell and BP down a good chunk more as well ytd, I don’t see why the valuation is as high as it is on those results. All oil companies suffering so more of a sector basis. The dividend is good but oil needs to start moving upwards or Genel could begin to struggle as the headline numbers have shown
Well done Mark i will go for 150 please.
