@grim Totally agree, the government forcing people into work, universities, schools, etc etc was on the premise that it would be totally safe and that testing, tracking and tracing were all fit for purpose. Here we are 6 months down the line about to head into another UK wide lockdown. Utter, Utter disgrace when the tech is there and just needs to be funded. Shocking.
someone in the cabinet office, just bell up DB and say...
how many kits you got , how quick can you deploy, get on with it.
its that simple, in my opinion..
the reason schools are open is we were told they were safe because of track and trace...................
11 primary schools in Nottingham closed in first two weeks ........
not had the figures yet for week three but local secondary school closed three year groups....
parents can not get tests for kids so many off isolating....
this is a national disgrace
as has been the entire response to this pandemic...
@bigb, I say that too. What a farce. Hearing other reports it seems that the UK don't use robotics, so without the Genedrive beaded format people have to manually pipette those 250k tests. They really need to get a grip on this and install proper testing facilities. Those poor scientists will be run ragged, they're doing an outstanding job, give them the proper tools.
Yes Andy.... Just seen a bumbling MH on sky refusing to answer a simple question .. How far are we from another national lockdown? ummm...errrrr... hmmm... what i can tell your viewers is we are doing all we can!
Its the perfect time for DB to give a mega update on POC tests.. the country can ill afford a 2nd lockdown and the whole testing shambles needs to be over hauled.
Driving 2 hrs to get told you don't have a code is hardly going to inspire people to rush out and get tests elsewhere.
Lord no RNS is killing me! It’s like DB is doing a strip dance but not taking any clothes off!
@BB Looks like UK wide for the half term, utterly shambolic. Testing is our only way out of this.
Good morning
1 of my colleague up in Yorkshire needed a test, nearest available was Buxton 2 hour drive, she drove to Buxton, only 1 other car waiting for the test at Buxton, try to get the test, the person at the test centre said was is your code? What code she said?
You get a message to say you have an appointment apparently then get a second message with a code, she never got the second message with the code so they turned her away with no test..... the person said we have had a few turn up without the code. UTTER SHAMBLES.
So it's now 10 million people in the UK back in lockdown.... How long before it's the rest of the U.K.? Matt Handjob you are making a complete mess of this testing farce.
Sensetalka - Firstly, there is more than 1 RNS expected in the next few weeks. But if you're referring to the FDA approval, my complete guess work (or wish), based on what has happened with other Pharma's, is that this should exceed £2/2.50. This would make GDR a £100/130m market cap company. Still the lowest market cap out of most of the pharmas with Covid test solutions. Obviously, and news from Beckman, India etc will put another rocket up its ass, figuratively speaking.
My target here for the next 6 months is closer to £5 though, with Covid highly likely to get worse, if not much worse, in the winter and the need for more and faster tests being critical to not shutting down countries /economies as we did in the Spring
Is there a price prediction for when the inevitable RNS drops?
Monday would be nice BB.
However, 7am tomorrow morning would be Fantastic LOL.
Monday is my guess but anytime really as long as it's the start of great news for GDR...
If no news tomorrow it's going to be a busy afternoon and hopefully 150+ come closing bell.
Been a long wait for a big fat juicy RNS ref approvals/sales deals.... long overdue! Feels like about the right time. Products look excellent, operational/business delivery has been slow.
GLA
So when do you think it will drop?
