Cheers for the info Philjpo,
Good to know an update is on the agenda.
Thanks philjpo, appreciate you taking the time to ask them. Seemed we should have been due one given previous form, so good to hear Walbrook say we will.
It's not like they can spill any bean as long as Mr Bean is at the helm.
Is that all they said phill
lol thanks Pacman, I'll get a round or three in too :)
@Inphobe That's ok, you can still come to the party, you'll just need to buy your own lol.
Not at all Jaceorge (by the way are you Jason Orange?!)
Actually I use the terms "Should"..."might"..."quite possible that we won't need a fundraise" because we can not know for definite, as with any company if we knew these things were definitely going to happen the shareprice would be many multiples higher than where it is today. The whole concept is about making an educated guess at the likelihood of certain things happening and the effect they will have on the shareprice when the wider market realises.
The problem you're having is clearly with the stock market in general - a savings account is more more suited to some people.
IMO the exec team are doing an excellent job. The success of the business is all about scalability. The heavy lifting in process with the building blocks to scale up fast might be boring to investors but its critical and will put GDR on an excellent footing.
Have some of these, worried you might run out: !!!!
If you go back to the presentation I think it's actually very good. Just wasn't what the impatient market wanted at the time. Further, we have and do get updates when material. That the company doesn't tweet regularly like others do (whom it does no good), is a known here.
And it's no good saying there are no derampers when you deramp constantly and spout off about 'rampers' at every opportunity. Unlike others (guy is a regular poster for example who has always maintained that AIHL is a winner), you never have anything good or even balanced to say Jaceorge. You've been asked about this and fail to respond every time. So yes, whatever your holding or otherwise lol you are the very definition of a deramper, and I'll informed by your post about the Cov PoC this morning.
Sorry Pacman121, guess I don't get a beer lol
The HCV sales mentioned in the New York article should extend the time Genedrive has before a fundraise would have been neccessary. I'm thinking that might just be enough time for some hearing loss test contracts, POC contracts and EUA... and then it's quite possible we won't need to do a fundraise at all.
It's strange. Companies usually follow there own pattern in regards to communication of TU.
In this case past behaviour is not predictive of current.
I can't understand the lack of trading update myself, given the history. Only reason i could think of is a fundraise possibly, since TU shows bank balance. Make sense to sort a fundraise before any TU. I have emailed Dave Budd and Wallbook last week, but no response.
Walbrook said to me there is no date set for a TU and because in previous yrs it was July, there is nothing that states it has to be July every Yr.
I guess we just make rules up and there is no structure to company communications what so ever.
- Trading Update (TU) 10th July 2020
- TU 9th July 2019
- TU 13th July 2018
- TU 13th July 2017
Did any of you astute posters ever email the powers that be, enquiring as to why no trading update has appeared yet? (before I do so).
I am a big supporter of the medium-long term potential of GDR but this lack of communication is a tad frustrating.
As shareholders and part owners of the business we deserve better. The vacuum created by the non-communication is fuelling the conspiracy theories purported by the derampers (and its starting to get annoying)! Cue angry face.
