@dave the POC solution would need to be validated against the lab based tests to show how it performs. This is made more ‘involved’ as it also needs comparing versus nasopharyngeal swabs versus saliva. I think DB is being cautious because of the length of time these studies might take, access to samples and access to fresh positive samples as part of a study takes time to get approvals for despite the pandemic.
The existing test can be used so their best bet is to compare like with like. But it’s not being used anywhere yet, suspect the full clinical trial then is waiting for that element to fall into place.
We could see an announcement on the POC at the end of the summer period I think. At least an update on expected timelines. I suspect DB will do this after sales of the existing test start being announced.
A lot of really positive news flow coming
Approvals
Sales
POC availability
These will each impact our market cap. Where will the price head today? My finger is over the buy button, waiting with anticipation!!
Just up so maybe not reading or thought about this in full, but the article is 12 weeks old. Looks like the device is already CE approved, would that mean just new cartridges need approved? (if i have any of this wrong feel free) The downfall is the amount of monthly tests but does say it can be scaled up, prop would need to at least 200,000 a month (more would be great)at £30 each . 6 mill a month. Using salavia That would be an RNS to wake up to, basically jump the likes of avacta and the other mob with the poc test. Use from cruise ships which may allow them to work again to care homes, could not keep up with supply. Transformation would be instantaneous. Open to thoughts from the more technical guys on here, but could we be 3 months plus into the poc product and has DB just said by end of the year to allow time due to the June/July fiasco? If they can build specific units for the military they must have a fast capability for this after the sars pcr test. Hopefully sentiment is starting to change, I thought so last night.DB if you read this can you give us a better update on the poc test please?

That’s his profile.
“Tom Jordan and his team seem to be the decision makers at PHE. Good that he is in discussions with David Budd about our product, I understand why DB cant come out and say anything until all the boxes have been ticked, it will be the same in all the other territories they are in the approval process with.“
Tom Jordan is NHS staff not PHE, nor is he a decision maker in relation to what test is procured. He is simply a gate keeper who’s job is to look at submissions, ensure they meet the minimum thresholds and then pass that information on to the relevant departments within NHS or PHE.
Let’s stick to facts please.
"there is no evidence for it, but unfortunatley there's no evidence for me to say its definitely going to be this week either, even though i really want it to be"
Have you tried tapping your heals together 3 times and thinking to yourself "there's no place like home, there's NO place like home" ?
@st
Did you also see my earlier post to show DB is in conversation with Tom Jordan over POC testing
