Are British Bulls correct!
That’s a very misleading article, especially the header..
It says that FDA approval is progressing, but as I understand it they have held only preliminary discussions (well over a year ago!) and have yet to even start the FDA approval process proper. Indeed that is why they are seeking a US partner. Something promised by the CEO at the start of the year but which we are yet to see.
If GDR goes bang then there is no assists of value left.
Seriously.. where do these cretins come from?
Today could have been a lot worse considering the open. The finish was reasonable.
Now we need to see what happens in the coming weeks.
Sad really it’s in this state cons the money it’s burnt through and great products produced.
I still believe a company could bid and snap it up on the cheap given valuation.
The millions spent getting it to a stage of great products and valuation of just over 3m is dirt cheap even if a cheeky offer doubling the closing price came in.
Stock,
"Crooty, Northern Rock used to offer mortgages like that before they went bust. You never know"
Its completely different though. If you get your house reposessed, then the bank has the house, if GDR goes bang then there is no assists of value left.
"have you met some people?".
😁
"The fact is many expected Armageddon"
GDR have 9 weeks to dilute the shares through either more drawdowns with RF or a new deal simply to avoid going bust.
"So not everyone agrees…"
Indeed Mr Stockpick, it's truly remarkable. But I suppose that's the human condition - some people voted for Johnson, some poeple think the earth is flat and to quote the comedian Fern Brady, "have you met some people?".
When a share rises on what many call negative news. I include my as for any share dilution. However when all this out there and the price rises it’s usually a sign the bottoms been put in. Just one’s opinion.

Incase you missed what I said this morning.
The obvious time was buy the dip under 3p.
Everything is a risk many took it but who knows the and who the top.
HE1 went up to 3.6! And now 1p!
"My guess is they'll raise £5m, plus they still have an additional £1.5m from RF so that would keep them going for a decent amount of time and include enough for the FDA deal. Hopefully good news comes before they agree a raise, personally I think it will."
LOL - HOW THE HELL DO YOU RAISE 130% OF THE CURRENT MARKET CAP? What drugs have you been smoking Jimi?
It's like asking for a 130% remortgage on your house when your bank knows you are about to go bankrupt.
You couldn't make it up
Cheek's last paragraph begins:
"Securing further funding is key to the execution of our strategy as is finalising our partnership in the USA for MT-RNR1 studies required for future de novo submission route for FDA approval."
Do you read this as the company already having confirmation that the FDA route is to be de novo? If so, that is significantly good news...if sustainable funding also achieved.
I guess that is sarcasm, Gloria, in that my statement falls into the “absolutely bleedin obvious” category. Fair enough.
The thing is there are plenty of buyers here today for River Fort’s bulging bundles of newly minted shares which are going “to da moon.”
So not everyone agrees…
I doubt it ll be quite that much Gloria. I do think 6-7m and always thought this would be a penny stock at some point. Thank fk i took a loss and sold at 18p way back when. One of my better decisions.
My guess is they'll raise £5m, plus they still have an additional £1.5m from RF so that would keep them going for a decent amount of time and include enough for the FDA deal. Hopefully good news comes before they agree a raise, personally I think it will.
" the time to get in is AFTER the funding is announced, not before."
genius.
I mean came in. I wish I could rewind back to last March. Sell up and try to make Genedrive not get this RF deal.
James Cheek fame in when this was 12p and put on his LinkedIN he is responsible to improve the share price. I wish I sold the day he came as I believe it hit 13p that day.
HE1 (which is supposed to be the exemplar) did its equity raise at a 30% discount to the closing price (2.16 I think?). The price fell sharply on the morning after it was announced. That was the low risk time to get in, when it was in the 1’s..
RF have millions more shares to dump and they will do it at whatever price. None of the news is likely to come in the next week of so (what does “advanced discussions” mean??) so I think the way to bet is on a downward slide in anticipation of the heavy discount mentioned above.
So even if Jam’s investment thesis is right (and it might well be) the time to get in is AFTER the funding is announced, not before.
I predicted to myself a placing at 1-2p about 9 months ago but I suspect now that a placing @ 1-2p is woefully optimistic (many people tell me I'm always too optimistic). In order to get the millions Mr Cheek rightly fully desires for GDR (18-24 months of funding for growth not just operational costs), I suspect the nominal value of each share will be changed eg 3p become 300p and this will be followed by a large dilution to raise £10M or similar.
I might buy some GDR after the fundraising. Expect it will be at a discount. I don't think GDR have ever done a placing at market price or a premium in their history!
Stock
HE 1 actually does have a lot in common to an extent all be it different sectors.
HE1 needed funding!
HE1 raised cash
HE1 announced it found a product
HE 1 will need money to extract it to revenue.
Actually Stock
GDR has burned a lot of cash!
GDR has life changing products and route to revenue.
GDR at all time lows
GDR will need further funding
So if they have a financial plan this could be a great story with decent revenue streams in the future and it looks like many are prepared to take a punt as they did in HE1 so I guess they do have something in common
