Just reading through this again. There appears to be an error on page 9 which lists our resources. The measured resource at kili is 62,000 not 411,000. I wonder where that higher figure came from as it’s not an obvious typographical error.
Agreed with that Suggins. Although I’m expecting a flurry of news and progress in 2022. At what stage of 2022 though, I’m not sure
Just wondering if the 2 Rigs will be moved and transported to Nyakafuru in around 4-6 weeks once drilling at Kilimapesa has been completed
Great summary and vision given with admirable clarity and things look very rosy. One slight criticism might be a lack of timescales though.
Riaan Lombard (General Manager) and Paul Reeves ( Chief Financial officer) both effective from 01/02/2022.
The above appointments are crucial to the rapid expansion plans. I'm expecting them both to deliver something special moving on from taking up their positions.
They may target different kind of processing at Simba, maybe a larger heap leach.
Who knows. Probably going to be too costly for it to justify its own plant but I could be wrong. It’s shallow so extraction wouldn’t be through the roof costly, and possibly trucked 25km to Nyakafuru. But could Nyakafuru accommodate another 700,000-800,000 oz over a 10 year period? It’ll have over 1moz+, probably 1.5-2Moz of its own material to process through too.
Options!!!!
M night
A lot of work has to be done first ... especially with the drill bit, as of now, simba alone would not justify its own plant.. looking forward you could assume it would be trucked in.. just my opinion
Question: do we think it's likely we'll only see one processing operation plant for both Nyakafuru and Simba? Considering the close proximity they are to each other?
Not sure if this has been commented on yet.
M_K I agree with you. Anyone that has worked in a target based workplace know that the targets are nearly always stretching and used to motivate greater productivity. If they are met easily they are not stretching enough many times and if they are entirely missed by a large degree then they were unrealistic in the first place or another factor has come into play. The important thing is direction of travel and next steps. Context context context. Always look behind the headline number whatever that number turns out to be.
ATB
It will certainly be great to get the final piece of the jigsaw.
Yeah I think this will just be to analyse the material on its way to be stockpiled and used in the CIL. Important for the company to keep on top (just an educated guess)
Assay laboratory is on site according to page 19
I think they’ll have hit it in December but maybe not October and November. So they may want some consistency under their belt of consecutive 1,000 oz months
Jason’s said in the stockbox interview that the update will gives shareholders confident in seeing the management delivering on goals. I’d be surprised if no months hit 1,000 oz
But not deflated. Steady increase in throughout. Guidance to show the increase will continue and increased oz’s (using high grade ore, bring the heap leach online), and also reduced $ per oz. (grid power, less equipment upgrades, future open pit operations)
If they hit 2000oz+ for the entirety of Q4 I'd be very happy.
‘ Current status and plan is to utilise pre-screening and crushing circuits (in process) to achieve planned medium-term 1,000ozpm gold production’
Perhaps a hint they are not quite there yet on 1,000oz per month consistently. Happy to be proved wrong of course.
Re-commission the processing plant using tailings – complete
? Optimisation, refurbishment and upgrades to mill to achieve +350tpd - complete
? Design and cost review of new primary crushing and gravity circuits and 2nd ball mill – in process
? Refurbishment of underground mine and pre-development of mining blocks – ongoing
———————————————————————
? Plant throughput increase to a rate of +700tpd (already regularly achieving up to 1000tpd) and target production of 1,000oz gold – in process
? Connection to mains power to plant – complete
? Commencement of open-pit operations on Kilimapesa Hill – in process
———————————————————————————
? Feasibility study, design and construction of processing plant to increase production to 25,000zs p.a. – in process
? Exploration drilling programme to increase resource base to +2Mozs - in process
——————————————————
It looks like this is part of the 3 phase plan with Jason stating last week the company are charging towards phase 3 already.
Plant throughput increase to a rate of +700tpd (already regularly achieving up to 1000tpd) and target production of 1,000oz gold – in process
Open pit mining has commenced on kili hill too
YES!!
1000tpd
Nice summary of where we are - and more importantly where we are headed.
Great spot. Rsx just posted it on our Twitter group. Brilliant
Cracking presentation. Thanks for sharing.
All other junior miners are crap in comparison. A clump of dirt when compared to this.
Will be adding to my holding tomorrow.
New presentation dated today on Caracal website for people to dig into.
John, well just don’t bother as there is nothing to see here.
