I've not posted in over a year on here - I had to take a break for my own mental health because being heavily underwater really got to me.
My own fault, but I've come to terms my investment in the £10,000's is unlikely ever to reach my break even point.
What a shower this has turned into though, It has been about 15 months since I lasted posted and literally nothing has changed here - it has just got worse.
Anyone reading this board, just don't do it unless you are into extreme high risk investments. I've lost my shirt, I don't wish anybody else to do so.
Well past caring what's happening behind the scenes. The company must have been in a dire situation to be suspended this long but keep looking at the jam tomorrow.
I think so too Daniel. There are signs of the swan's feet furiously kicking under the water for those are investigating closely. But very frustrating nonetheless.
I'm more confident it'll be back. I don't think there is anything malicious here, just terrible governance.
Don't think it helps that, according to the website, the audit committee currently consists of 'nobody'...
I'm beginning to think you're right Bebeto
There's a chance it may not come back or not come back on here.
Need to wait at least another month for that to be consistent with other 'coming days' comments :D
It's GCAT. You'll get used to it. Carlsberg don't do corporate governance, but if they did...
Getting incredibly frustrated here - we were promised updates on finances 'in the coming days' and this was three weeks ago! I was happy with the regular tweets but now feel they just aren't enough...
*12 months Zan_TM
They get given 6 months to do them. This is an additional 6 months for not doing them in the first 6.
Frankly, it's terrible.
They'll need accounts and prospectus regardless, the funding doesn't look like they're queuing around the block to offer it.
A lot easier to get a fundraising on AIM, that's all.
I'm not sure it would make much sense, if (big), they get this funding Robbie has told us 20 times is in final stages.
Suspension occured on 1st Nov, so still a few months left, and if auditors were on site as has been reported of late, you would expect submission of accounts more near term. Thats my logic based thoughts.
One thing at a time, but 3 big issues right now
1: Accounts
2: Prospectus
3: Funding
If any of those 3 fail, hard to see the company being able to stay as it is.
If all 3 get sorted in next few months, then maybe 2024 will be more enjoyable than 2023.
Heres hoping
Are they going for a delist and relist on AIM?
Beb, to be fair, I think if a company cant do its accounts in 6 months, it prob doesnt deserve to be listed lol.
Zero evidence, but I do think we nearly there with them. Maybe they are even submitted already and just awaiting nod from FCA???
5.2.2 Examples of when the FCA may cancel listing
(3) the securities' listing has been suspended for more than six months;
Info via official routes has been very slow going, but I guess there is nothing of note to report just yet.
As it stands, the situation is the same as before.
We have had a lot of unofficial info shared via social media, so not a total blackout.
To be honest, official or unofficial, I'm not fully sure Robbies words hold much weight if you look at past performances.
Given were talking 4 months plus for accounts to be submitted past the due date, its evident to me that they werent even started at the due date point, thus the company would have known for months prior they were going to miss that deadline and get suspended, yet withheld that info (maybe good as the sell off would likely have been even worse) while doing many an interview talking about funding in final stages etc.
I've always said, Robbie is a used car salesman. He will say whatever he thinks you want to hear. Thats not me being negative either, just looking at the very very long record of mistruthes by the company.
But Ive also always said, a used car salesman can still do well.
I was happy to invest before feeling that about Robbie and nothings changed for me.
Loads of jackornary on route, but I still reckon he will pull it off. Maybe in part because he is more of a salesman.
Robbie has said it will be another "millennium" being the accounts get signed off.
Is Robbie still crossing t's and dotting i's then?
Realist on valentines day for the Robbie lovers?
@Daniel GCAT was main listed as original GoldPlat was on Main exchange and GCAt was reversed into it when they acquired the assets from GoldPlat

Blimeyori, you say”Just glad I don't have a major holding and am prepared to write it off.” Don’t give them ammunition to s**t on shareholders from a great height! They should care if we are losing money and feel guilty if it’s a result of their incompetence!
Come on GCAT, this is beyond a joke now!
Don't worry, it's "all on track".
Some of us were berated for suggesting that statement was meaningless drivel.
P/poor performance by the company all around.
We was promised regular updates of information.
Didn't really get much other than a couple of photographs.
Another week gone and still no news.
Terrible management.
I have often wondered why this was Main listed rather than AIM (e.g. like THX and SHG). Would make more sense for a small outfit like this, no need for prospectus and raise money through share issuance to fund the project. Bang on with HE1 btw Bebeto and bang on with the placing prediction too. GLA, Dan
