Yawn.
Regarding the broker ring around, I have already had that conversation, as mention here last week and obviously declined the offer.
Don't see long term holders of size selling cheaply. During the de-listing period was probably the last chance to buy in size with ease ;-)
Moving the price shown to the market for small sales won't help get a block. There are fewer than 20 holders of any size, so the way to get shares (especially in August) is to have a broker ring around the share register.....
.....on which basis I would expect a call at some point.
Meanwhile, for those interested in smaller punts, the normal market price remains available.....
mm's will have to up the price if they want to buy shares, sellers seem to have dried up ;-)
TRP doing well this morning
I fancied GBP being the second farmee with Art Malone in Cameroon, an elsewhere...
BPC reached £110m m/cap in recent times, just on momentum from a potential farm in deal with a major
Hopefully with a small free we won't need to wait till St.Ledgers day for a sizable up tick ;-)
Good point re: comparators and Bahamas EE. BPC is capped at £67m and GBP £2.2m.
Nai/DYOR
I doubt there will be a massive move. It is August after all. And why should there be, when the price will be driven by where it is possible to get blocks of stock (not the more common small punters' lots)?
As for "elsewhere" that is the comparators group, which includes Bahamas. So not relevant here.
The improved chances of getting a partner is a good point, though.....and at current valuations may attract a predator rather than a long-term partner?
No link sorry
Hi Jimarillo - is there a link to the Panmure GBP Report that you could share?
Thanks.
"Global offers upside far in excess of any peers (both in Namibia and pure exploration elsewhere), and we see the
likelihood of securing a farm-in partner as significantly better."
"pure exploration elsewhere" I wonder where "elsewhere" is ?
Regarding an rns, normally it is the broker that releases the note and not the company
If so when will Panmure release it to the wider market ? it is just their clients that have the note currently.....first dibs and all that
2p opening Monday morning ?
Unfortunately we are out to lunch Monday and can't get out of it, so will miss the afternoon session fun and games ;-)
Totally agree Van, interesting times ;-))
Some jostling for positions going on here it seems. The reality may be different of course but time will tell. As we await further news, and there has been much of it of late recently, it will be interesting to see just how the Namibia / SA exploration story pans out. A lot more interest showing of late and on this BB.
Geowiz - You're back again after you told us you were off !
So you're back to rubbishing GBP's licenses and talking up Chariot & Tower Resources, I still can't fathom why someone who does not own GBP shares spends time rubbishing the company.
GLA.
Substantial stake building... huh. Because the market makers allegedly loosened up 1.8m shares? That's worth a grand total of ....c£21k! Wow, very substantial.
I made a point of stating the 152p was undiluted, so keep your hair on
Broker notes are a point of view, of valuation, neither you or I will have any say in what the sp will do
However Panmure's clients will be in the loop and will have the broker note ahead of anyone and will also have more of an idea where the company is going regarding partner deals ahead
What is clear, there is substantial stake building going on and they need certain types to be de-ramping to loosen shares for those trying to load up as cheap as is possible ;--))
These broker's notes mean very little. They always contain massive price targets based on theoretical volumes of oil that may potentially be found (or not). The 152p figure is just a meaningless, pie-in-the-sky, abstract figure.
Something tangible and real has to happen to reset GBP's value. Hopefully a farm out. That would be a great announcement. A merger? Hmmm, all depends on the counterparty, the combined valuation and whether or not the resulting entity is better equipped to raise funds and drill. But brokers' notes are as pointless as a fart in the wind.
My guess is they will have to rns Monday at some point now, even if they were not going to lol
The 152p is the full price undiluted and 15.2p is 10% , which is a £30m M/cap......I remember being heckled for a possible £40m M/cap/20p, which I think would be very possible. After the initial 3.4p, which apparently is very conservative, any deal or drilling success around us or both will significantly re-rate . Imagine being partnered with a spud date ? A discovery would put us in a whole different ball game ;-)
Monday rns ? If not then gives us a chance to get some more. Others have obviously seen the note and that’s why they’ve been trying desperately to buy shares !
Nai/DYOR
The note must be due out this week, it is obvious others have been aware by the increased demand for shares
It is very unusual for the mm's to allow you to drop 1.8 million shares from the sky in one hit . This has been the case over at least the last two trading days..........enjoy the weekend ;-)
For someone thats meant to own Char shares, you do very little posting on the Char bb, 2 pathetic posts that look like you don't know a thing about Char and then 8 posts on GBP, which you don't hold and definitely know nothing of.......geewhizzz
Talk about snake oil
Firstly the majority of the resources GBP have are Very high risk and located in 029 a block they have been trying and failing to farmout for years and critically the permit runs out at the end of the year. The resources in 94 prospect are in part located in the Tower Block. In fact the obvious drill location ( the highest point of Welwitschia) is fully in the Tower Block not in the GBP block. Chariot has cash and low risk options in other countries as does Tower.
Any more spinning and this board will catch flies.
152p unrisked NAV ? Lovely : )
Can buy at 1.3p but assume not for long : )

This is the mid case net resource number and current price (US$) , just shows how hugely discounted compared to our peers
