You might get your wish, don't think we're out of the woods just yet. At one point thought this was really bulding momemntum and was going to power in to the blue.
Great price now, oversold and a divi. Once the main man gets off the charges watch it soar back to £2 plus :)
It looks like the sale is ending, but sorry I wanted to buy cheaper
Deepest - You have just validated my rationale . You can’t argue with the exceptional intrinsic value that’s been highlighted. And by the way , I don’t blame you for wanting in :)
AND .. name another CEO and business with this casting a shadow over their futures at the moment. Truth or no truth - it is there. I don't think you can ;)

Don't worry about that - look at the price the stock is changing hands at …. In July it was £2.80+
3 months on - £1.30s.
Let the trend be your friend - and the trend my friend is most certainly DOWN! Cannot argue that point. Yes it will settle - but I will settle for sub £1 from here. In 3 months, who knows how low this could be - as many cannot afford to be sitting on losses and hit sell! it is how a market works.
Cheers!
Interesting that so far , no one else has called an equivalent miner that has a PE of 2, trades below NAV and pays an 11% dividend.
For those that are calling this down , step up and answer this question . I don’t think you can ;)
Bought in here, seems hugely oversold and ready to bounce.
Ill be patient, deal agreed with Brexit should help
I think this fell back because there was talk of China wanting more concessions on the Trade Deal, whilst today there is talk of signing the first part of the deal in mid November ....if the extra tariffs were to come on line then shares like FXPO would sink...so..any rhetoric away from that line has the opposite effect.
The fundamentals are totally obvious . Buy, hold and wait for the rapid move to come
PC I have to agree with NTD ... We can only guess that's all who knows, the elite and the rich and the market is always up to no good. If we were a think tank or a AI supercomputer that would be one of the scenario we would run, maybe not at great odds but it is possible...For one thing we are sure the company is making massive profits and iron ore is still a lot higher than last years average even though it has come down from 120$.....I am sure the week when I am on vacation and not watching this, this will move back within 5 trading days back to 2£ ....
Pokerchips, I agree in terms of taking over the company due to SP fall only but why is is falling? ps - I have just added to my long long term position (since 2011) as just too cheap IMHO.
The missing info is the full role play of scenarios that could happen in regard to Zhevago and his bank (ironic if there is impact here given that the bank took $250m of FXPO cash and almost buckled this company at the time) and also the market view as to the impact of the charity probe - for the general market this still flags a stay away.
That said I am breaking my own rule to gamble a little more despite not having the full risk role play and at these dramatically low prices - what is to stop hedge funds, never mind competitors doing the same? The answer is of course Zhevago himself - you cant take over his company without first building a scenario where he is forced to sell. In fact how is the price so low? Maybe part 1 of taking over FXPO is to break Zhevago and as such whom ever is on the go dropping the value of his asset by dropping Share price. Wouldnt cost much as only us retail investors moving here - institutions invested hold tight on fundamentals and institutions not holding steering well clear.
I think Zhevago is under attack (again) and hence the grey area on formal charge - not issued as Zhevago defends himself, but not given up upon by the aggressor either who will have his own minions in government. I fear we are going to be held to ransom until Zhevago seige is over - however I am happy to do this and feed off the mighty dividend till there is a change in circumstance - i just hope one of the scenario's doesnt have wider impact to FXPO via appropriation of FXPO assets.
"price is good for a takeover target"
You cannot seriously think that the shareholders would accept this kind of price ?
No one buys a big company just because the share price falls ..and you can be sure the main shareholders would reject such an offer
price is good for a takeover target
Letsi1 - totally agree that it will keep on going up when it turns. Everyone is now waiting for that moment! The daily chart confirms that's the usual format here. Above that though, it's supported by astonishing value. It will be a matter of time until people say "Wish i'd been buying at.... "
Incredible really, just a month ago it was over £2, dropping below that would of looked like value.
If you look at the history of this SP both the falls and rises are exaggerated. It is hard to see the daily decline in the price but when it turns it will keep on going up.Patience is the key here and as long as you don’t need the funds just let it ride until then.
The Canadian company plans to invest about $ 1 billion to build a plant similar to fxpo, but half the capacity. Now you can evaluate the real, minimum cost fxpo
Drax - where's there a cheaper miner mate?
Looks like sub £1.20 to me
I've an average of 155 & approaching £2500 down. Doubled up at just over 141. Would like at least to see 130 hold. Didn't think 140 would be broken.
Repression - decide whether you're in or out. How much you down at the moment - i know you've been here for a bit? If you took your money out of here which other miner would you put it into? As I say, tell me one that's trading on PE of 2, below NAV, pays out massive divs. I reckon this is fast approaching the bottom personally
And yet the market sees none of that and still we fall. Barclays £1.10? Is that possible?
Maksym - indeed , that's why i've highlighted the net asset value. More importantly though for every year that passes the net asset value only increases because of what cash does.
Let's see if anyone can come up with an alternative miner. I can't see one.
If we liquidate the company now, then the shareholders would receive more than the shares are now worth.
