TU - Xmas sales up 22%, Q1-Q3 sales up 11.5%.
Positive update. SP should be much higher.
OK - 700p this year then. Recovery going well.
Up 59% from January lows.
Companies now forcing staff back into office.
Xmas bookings very good. Historically Jan/Feb good.
Another great set of results. Outperforming the other brew/hospitality companies. SP up ~10% today.
Expect 700 next year.
Fuller's website states that from April 22 it's 1000 shares not 500.
As I said and markets have since proved right, FSTA was massively oversold in November.
Excellent results today in RNS. One to watch. Maybe time to sell off some of the less profitable properties. Should be possible for SP to get to 700.
Doug, it's not a property company so the market takes
little to no notice of NAV as a result.
Also not helped that descendants of the founding families
have majority control - institutions do not have majority
control of Fullers. There is an unlisted share class,
you may already be aware.
You can Buy YNGN on 10 X forward earnings estimates.
I hold YNGA and YNGN (Non Voting).
Young's is the Rolls Royce of sector and not
saying that because I hold, just look at last week's
Young's results and outlook statement.
Compare that to the last Fullers update!.
Young's NV the better value ATM as there
is a huge % difference between the Young's
voting and NV shares.
Freehold property worth abt 996M last time I checked. The SP is massively oversold.
With pubs closing right, left and centre I'm wondering what FSTA's buildings are really worth?
* there is
I would question that.
Why has Youngs' profitability returned to pre covid
levels approx, while FSTA appear to be under 50% of
their 2018 earnings.
Also their is family control of Fullers through ownership
of a different class of shares that are unlisted.
Anyone holding should understand the ownership/share
structure. The company sec may be able to help with this
if you want a detailed answer.
Re-rating well established. Long way to go so hope it can push on further from here?
Divvies back to decent level. Revenue and profits well up. Excellent results. Start to new year looks stunning. SP way oversold and activist vultures will be circling. Freehold property worth 996M. Peel Hunt raises Fuller Smith & Turner to 'buy'.
Time for a re-rating.
I agree price seems very low indeed, about half net asset value? However, prolonged Rail Strikes, could impact trade in London once again. But good buy for longer term once recovery is at last established and sustained!
I like the idea of the Indulgence Card & share price seems at bottom-anything I am missing-apologies for lazy research before buying 500 shares
Someone took a punt (12400 buy) at close of play
today. Interesting move for betting 2022 recovery
maybe???
had a small amount and may come to regret that.
share price performance.
Look at Youngs v Fullers respective YTD, 1 year and 5 year
share price performance.
About time too!
Are they still ott with their hanging baskets? I should think the beer price has to be at a "premium" just to cover the cost of those. Bit of a shake out this morning.
I had my first work trip to London since March 2020 this week. Observations from the chance to have a couple of beers in FSTA pubs:
1) not packed, but busy. However, it is August, so September activity may be a better barometer.
2) service and choice of beers remain excellent, as does premium pricing. Their estate is superbly located and when the City comes back to the office (and they will - JPM, Goldman etc have already made clear that long-term WFH is not their way forward) then FSTA will be in prime position. Shepherd Neame also.
TL;DR? Bought more this week at 780. No second thoughts at all.
Future good with gov. mad on re-opening everything, staycations, weddings , etc - all stuff that fills FSTA's coffers. Fullers pubs with Euros footy will have done a roaring trade last few weeks. Confident trading update. Patience will be rewarded.
The INNDULGENCE card - with NN is a nice to have and I use mine whenever I can. And for some reason the usually very good service becomes extremely good as soon as they know you have one. If you ever use the Restaurant or Bar at Kings Cross or Euston Station, it is very useful as some of the bottled beers are over £100, £200, £400 each! Yes, vintage ales at high prices.
You will only get teh card in January - but a call to te secretariat will get you one as soon as you are registered.
This "is" the dip, if you look at the history. Going to break out soon back to £12 plus, but it needs patience. All their rooms and venues will be fully booked out this summer and with staycations the pubs will be heaving. I even tried booking well in advance last half term and they were fully booked for rooms and meals everywhere. Also they own 92% of their freehold which is a good hedge against bad times. At some stage this will feed into the numbers and the SP.
Hi all, i am a frequent trader and have the intention to buy 500 Fullers shares (ill be honest because i want the indulgence card, love the brand and feel that now is a good time to buy while hospitality recovers) the advice i need is what would be an ok price to set a buy limit... i can see fluctuations... 850 sound reasonable? trying to buy in the dip.
